It is one of the most distorted translations.
He thinks that word Khalifa means "representative" which he interprets as "satan, temporary god".It the most stupid interpretation which can be ever produced.

Like this for 741 ,he translates "Al - Mudassir" as "secret code". Again Most non sense distortion .
It is a translation by a deluded person.

This is a huge accusation, bro, especially with you only providing 2 examples... ) Anyway, regardless of what you personally say about him or his translation, many Islaamic scholars agree that he has one of the best Qur'aanic translations in circulation today, and part of that is because he bases his translations on a nonsectarian viewpoint; instead of relying on what the hadiyth and sunna say regarding a certain issue, he goes with what makes the most sense... By the way, claiming that he translated "al muddathir" as secret code is totally false, and this is not what his translation says. He translates it as "hidden secret", which, based on the Arabic language and the scriptural context, is not too farfetched...

Provide the evidence that "Al -mudassir " means Hidden Secret .

Secondly , it is Quranic Principle ,even if a munaafiq talks correctly ,even then he is "LIAR".

Rashad Khalifa's Journey from hypothesis to "messenger of covenant"-
        journey of deceit and fraud.

This thread needs to be transferred to the fraud headquarters-19 Org.

He translates it as "hidden secret", which, based on the Arabic language and the scriptural context, is not too farfetched...

The problem is that he didn't only translate it, he completely interpreted it. He should have translated it into its literal meaning and let the reader interpret it as they like.

This is the Satanic Methodology which the Translaters adopt to convey their own satanic ideas in the name of the Quran.

I decided to order a copy Rashad Khalifa's Authorized English Version so I could read it and maybe read along with the audio version. I have to say I'm impressed with this translation and think it's quality is up there with the Reformist and the Monotheist Group version.

MG translation was based on RK, and RQT was based on MG, so they are similar. They are also similar in the sense they are all riddled with errors.

However, in terms of readability, then they are decent, if that's what you meant.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

I agree it's easier to read than those translated into Shakespearean English

That is incorrect information you are spreading. The Message was based on the Arabic Quran with a cross reference to a number of other translations. That RTQ was based on The Message is correct.

They are also similar in the sense they are all riddled with errors.

Perhaps, as Ayman pointed out in another thread, it could be that your understanding is riddled with the errors?

Shakespearean English? It's more like the King James Version of the Bible, especially the one written by Abdullah Yusuf Ali.
                  Unreadable yuck

I've read stories older than that and I can understand them. Shakespeare English was spoken centuries ago.

                            That is True .
In the Subcontinent Shakperian English still taught. But has been out from day to day documentation.
During his perios Urdu and English were written most in old style because those were difficult ones and this criteria used to considered a matter of "scholarship".

I think Khalifa means representative, too. I think that's the Quranic gloss or restoration (depending on your perspective) of Adam being the 'image' of God. But anyway, most of the translation is pedestrian, but the idea that Satan as a temporary god freaks me out enough on its own to keep me away from most of what RK touched.

                                    peace Layth,

That is incorrect information you are spreading. The Message was based on the Arabic Quran with a cross reference to a number of other translations. That RTQ was based on The Message is correct.

Of course I am sure The Message is based on the Arabic Quran as its ultimate reference, however it was very clear to me that The Message was based heavily on RK's translation. In fact, I would be very interested to hear anyone who read the early version who disagrees with this. Feel free to personal message some members, e.g. the other proof reader, bro Aaron. Besides, it's not just me, see an early review on amazon.com

This is another version of rashed khalifa if I was in charge of the followers of brother rashed I would take legal action against these guys

                                    1. verbatim copied from rasheds final testament

Maybe the above person is also mistaken.

But rather than take our word for it, anyone can download the early copy here if they wish. Check it for themselves.

There is a small chance however all the similarities were just coincidences. Now, however, after many amendments, the similarities are less noticeable.

Perhaps, as Ayman pointed out in another thread, it could be that your understanding is riddled with the errors?

Of course that is a possibility, but are you implying bro Ayman said anywhere my understanding is "riddled with the errors"? Evidence please.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

Interesting conjecture...As the lead translator, I know firsthand how this project began and progressed...Yet, seems you want to imply that you know better!

Besides, it's not just me, see an early review on amazon.com

This is another version of rashed khalifa if I was in charge of the followers of brother rashed I would take legal action against these guys

                                          What rubbish!

                                          2. not good at all to make you a better person, forget about being a good muslim
3.very misleading without any proof .don't waste your money I have read all the available trans best I recomand Yusif Ali***** or Allamah Nooruddin****, others good for only a particular group of people not all nations. These two you can gave to any muslim or non muslim with out thinking of offending/misleading them.if you have this version read recomandation you'll see it clearly...

Seems like our friend does not even know the contents on the books he is attacking (pushing his sunni translators in the process).

Of course that is a possibility, but are you implying bro Ayman said anywhere my understanding is "riddled with the errors"? Evidence please.

No, I was suggesting the thread where Ayman attacked the undertstanding of people as being wrong (on the Kabaa discussion) where a person may think he knows what the correct understanding/interpretation should be, but he/she could be absolutely wrong.

My point being, if you dislike The Message because it does not conform to your understanding of what should be, that is your absolute right...Just stop attacking the work every which chance you get (if you have nothing good to say, then say nothing).

4148 God does not love that any negative sayings be publicized, except if one is wronged. God is Hearer, Knowledgeable.
