EX is a funny word. Why can't we say X instead of EX

because of how it is pronounced?

              How do you pronounce X-mas?

Exactly the same as you would pronounce ex=mass

what about xeno, as in xenophobia, isn't that pronounced 'zeenofobia'

(I always thought X-mas was just a short form of Christmas, and was pronounced the same, but I guess I was wrong)

that's what i thought. why don't they just say christmas? it's actually easier.

                      X-mas is easier

                      imagine an Arab pronouncing

                      X-mas 'eks-maas

                      Christmas khuris-maas

it's an English word, and for Bangla speakers, krismas is easier than eksmas

                                what about Japanese?

                                Ekusmasu (X-mas)
                                Kuristumasu (christmas)

They say it really fast in both cases.

Tell two Japanese to say each word really fast for a minute or so. See who fails first.

And don't forget to count the perfect pronunciations before failing. See who says it perfectly the most.
