Salaam to all.
Surah Fatir, Verse 32And so, We have bestowed this divine writ as a heritage unto such of Our servants as We chose and among them are some who sin against themselves; and some who keep half-way ; and some who, by God?s leave, are fore?most in deeds of goodness this, indeed, is a merit most high!
Who are those who inherited the book? The messengers n prophets?
So some of the servants wronged themselves and some upheld it partly.
Can someone make me understand this verse pleaseThank u

Did you read this thread? https//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9602069.msg272806
yes I read it. So what I understand from that thread is the book was inherited by community of (shia, sunni Quran alone or sects) and some did wrong themselves and some were foremost in good deeds.
Or I missed something -
Think a bit more critically.
Is the Quran the only Scripture sent down?
Can you not think of any other Scriptures mentioned in Quran as being part of the Book?
The Book entails more than just Quran. Quran is a portion of the Book. (in my understanding)Also are the sunni and shia the only people who wronged themselves after receiving a portion of the Book or hence The Book?
Were there not others?Furthermore, read the next verse. Who is they?
Are the Gardens of Eden exclusive to one community of people?

Salaamun,
You need to understand what 'alKitaab' means. It's refering to the text, patterns and styles of alQuraan.
Remember that alQuraan does not explain everything in detail but alKitaab does.
When a messenger was sent in ummis, he teaches them alKitaab. The aayat is very simple and clear to understand.
Inheritants of alKitaab could be you, me and anyone else.
