I have questions regarding the Qur'an.
First,
Could anyone tell me if there is a way to know which verses are written in which material?
For instance, when the Qur'an was revealed (other than memorization), Muhammad ordered the Companions to write down the revelation(s).
The mediums happened to be stones, date branches, iron armor, and animal skin.Do you have information regarding this issue?
I stumbled upon a point of view which argues that these materials have been chosen according to the characteristics of the verses which have been written on them, contrary to the common views that the choosing of these materials seem to be a trivial issue.
