Angel or Humans?????

Hi All,
In Surah 11 verse 69, messengers came to Ibrahim bearing a glad tidings. I just would like expert opinion that were they angels or humans?. If they were angels then can ordinary human see the angels?.

What do you mean by this "see context they may take human form although not like human given power to punish, etc". I read your comment and related verses but could not understand your point. Please clarify that they were humans or angels?. Traditional interpretation is that they were angels to destroy the nation of lot.
Ibrahim and Lot both were prophets at that time then why did God not convey the message directly instead of sending angels (according to traditional interpretation) to convey message to Ibrahim and then travelled all the way to Lot.

What is the purpose of human beings if God has to take care of all our matters.. we're all being tested.
Have a look at verse 2178-79, David and Solomon, yet God gave Solomon the correct understanding of the case. Perhaps you ought to take a lesson from the angels when they said to God - "Glory to You, we have no knowledge except that which You have taught us, You are the Knowledgeable, the Wise." 232

Peace, read "in context" 2931-34 and/or entire chapter likewise cross-reference with other chapters; they i.e. l-malaikati/the controllers (angels if you like) "appeared" in human form although are given power to punish, etc.
