Isn't is up to God to make these distinctions as God knows all about them? All we know is what we are told in the Quran.

nsws1988! As the world becomes a village, is the quran telling us to focus more on Ibrahim? Think of HAJJ.

I don't know. I haven't come across any verses to support that. Can you provide me with the verses?

The best man ever was John S in my wedding. We are still friends after 20 years. He is a brain surgeon now and has twin daughters. He is a monotheist and recently when he visited Tucson I gave him a copy of the Quran a Reformist Translation.

            How about your best man?

            Peace,
            Edip

Brother Edip, may I please know the basis of John being your best man ever considering the context of the ongoing discussion? Is he your model in life?

Dear Zubairus, there is an art called distraction or redirection. But, I did not know that there would be extremely focused teens here whom I would not be able to redirect ;D

Go ahead find your best man among dead people. My best man is still John S. who is a brain sergeon. I am not sure wtheher he is the best doctor, though.

                  Peace,
                  Edip

Do you consider Ibrahim to be the best man ever & the name of this religion RELIGION OF TRUTH (DINUL HAQQ)? Pls share

                      salam
He is a very good example, the best man ever, he is definitely up there 'the best' I don't know, Allah does regard him as his beloved friend in the Quran and that is the greatest achievement one could ever wish for at the same time Allah does tell us not to make distinctions about his messengers, so I don't think that this thread is a good exercise cause we will then be forced to make distinctions as to who is more honorable and so on.
                      peace

                      Brother Edip,

I do not mean to hurt but in all honesty I considered your contribution a distraction and wanted to redirect you. But since I needed to know exactly what you meant, I requested for clarification.

                      THINK ABOUT IT
