The scripture of the Holy Quran is the only source of guidance for Muslims. It is a complete scripture discussing all major subjects of life&afterlife, human purpose& progress, the stories of prophets, previous nations, signs of the hour, the unseen, scientific inspirations, the creation earth&mankind and never changing prohibitions.

There are many unseen (ghaybiyat) prophecies about the present and the future in what are called ahadith nabawiya. The prophet Muhammad does not know the unseen and never spoke of these prophesies and tales as conveyed by Allah's holy scripture where Allah commands the prophet to say he does not know the unseen except what is revealed to him through the revelation to which is documented in the scripture.

Say, "I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me and I am not but a clear warner." (Surah alahqaaf ayah 9).

Say, , "I do not tell you that I have the depositories of Allah or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me." Say, "Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Then will you not give thought?"
    (Surah al an'am ayah 50).

Say, "I hold not for myself benefit or harm, except what Allah has willed. And if I knew the unseen, I could have acquired much wealth, and no harm would have touched me. I am not except a warner and a bringer of good tidings to a people who believe".
    (Surah al ara'f ayah 18.

"And I do not tell you that I have the depositories of Allah or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel, nor do I say of those upon whom your eyes look down that Allah will never grant them any good. Allah is most knowing of what is within their souls. Indeed, I would then be among the wrongdoers." (Surah hud ayah 31)

"That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal to you, . You knew it not, neither you nor your people, before this. So be patient; indeed, the outcome is for the righteous . (Surah hud ayah 49).

These ayat have been revealed by allah to show us that the messenger of god does not know the unseen. The only unseen prophesies that should be believed in are the ones in the holy scripture of Allah. Therefore all the hadiths concerning the unseen, the grave, the mehdi & antichrist and dajjal are false and have no legitimacy in the holy quran. These isrealite tales and futuristic prophesies have come from cultures prior to the revelation of the quran. They entered the islamic tradition through hadiths collected decades after the passing of the prophet.
