Quranic teaching materials??

Anyone know where to find Quranic educational materials to teach and train children about submission/islam and the Quran. Most resources I have found include hadiths and traditions that I want to keep my children away from. I have printed almost every Y.E.S from submission.org and we read and go over the Quran and prayers daily but I would like something more challenging for them to read and study and learn if possible. Any ideas or websites y'all have found would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.Free-minds.org articles are a important source of info that provides education material/articles to train children. They helped me discover GOD alone. The important thing is to start at a young age. I'm 14 now. sun

Mine are pretty young, and I haven't started anything with them yet - but I'm planning on getting some of these books - "Goodword Kidz Quran Stories for Little Hearts" - now I haven't read any of them so I'm not sure if they include any hadith material.

I ordered a children's Quran stories book as well, Im still waiting to recieve it in the mail. I usually disregard the hadith material or if its small enough I type my own version of the page and re-print it. My children are 7 and 9 although the 7yr old is the only one who lives with us until the end of summer.

I'm not a hermit, only a back injury has led to me being mainly indoors, so I spend it trying to strive in the cause of God, I hope my Lord accepts my submission to His will, and guide me in the right path and not make any of it in vain.
But with anything, there is always the question of whether what we are witnessing is unique or rehearsed, so inevitably people will look for similarities between other people's work and sayings to disregard the proofs but if you have sincerity you may learn a great deal.

We recieved our Quran stories for kids book this week. Overall I was pretty happy with the material. One or two hadiths/traditions or non quran info but it was not too bad or crazy to where I had to send the book back. Our book was from goodword and the actual title is " Quran for Kids, Quran Stories" by s. Khan.

The books available in the market, Bakkar discovered, handled the subject matter with an intimidating approach and had no pictures ? a turn-off for children.
?Even those with pictures showed people in ancient times, wearing galabeyyas, with long beards, living in tents, in the desert with camels. Our children can?t relate to images like these because they don?t live in that kind of setting anymore.?

The mother is the best teacher. So become a scholar of arabic and the quran, and teach your kids. Make sure the father supports.

Knowing Egyptian publishing companies, it is very well possible that it's not available through the net (yet). )
Which part of the world are you in, if I may ask? Your best bet would be to contact the publisher directly and ask if they can send you a copy.
Unfortunately, I am not in Egypt at the moment, otherwise I'd offer you to just get it and send it to you. But maybe someone else lives in the region?

I ordered 2 of Mennah Bakkar's books from an Arabic/Muslim bookstore in California, and received them last week ... and am a bit disappointed at some of the material in one of them especially.
In the book 'Let's Pray', it stresses that the last, and most important reason to pray is to "Get good Points", to please Allah and "go to paradise". It says "In the Quran, Allah promised us that whoever prays properly and regularly will certainly go to paradise".
It also stresses that at the end of the book "prays for 4 reason .... and to score good points to please Allah and go to Paradise".REALLY?!!!!! So that means any nutjob who does terrible thing is going to paradise because they perform their prayers?!!!!! nope
It does show how to get wudu without adding much extra at least.
Another thing that is incorrect in this book is "Girls and Mummies have to wear special praying clothes to cover their hair and body because Allah asked us to do this in the Quran". Where?!!!!!
The book "I am a Little Moslem" was better, although it stresses doing good things to score "good points", and getting a lot of good points so you can go to paradise.
