Who was this guy whom Moses walked with?

His name is not mention in Quran.
AS per events his knowledge of future outcomes was incredible so does his responsibility to give best to people who are in risk of cruelty/unfairness from stronger people..
in other words he was doing his duty with respect to (power of knowledge) bestowed to him by God..

As the text says, Mus is asking the maste to teach him something. So I interpret tht what follows is teaching, not necessaily actual events but teachings.
These teachings may e an answer to a very frequent and anguished question by many people believers in rvelation or not Why God allows that innocent people suffer, why God allows that ever satns get away with anything. Why tuth is nto alwys (far from it) triumph nd even remains hidden for centuries?
The answer I gather is " you do not know what will happen or haow will turn out at the end all things that are consider, but EVERYTHING has a reson, the hiding of truth for a while, the injustice for a while. Yu are nto at the end of the world or at the universal jusgement, that is God's and everything, absutely everything will be justified.
It is a teaching, a very needed teaching, becaue we do suffer a lot for those reasons.
