Salaam to all.
I haven't been here for ages and misplaced my password in the interim period, so I had to re-register again.
Anyway, getting back to the topic at hand, I am of the opinion that Hajj is at Mecca without a shadow of a doubt in my mind and for me, plus the Quran confirms it. I will inshaallah fulfill this duty one day soon.
597 (Asad) God has laid down that the Ka'bah, the Inviolable Temple, shall be a symbol for all mankind; and and the garlanded offerings meant to make you aware that God is aware of all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, and that God has full knowledge of everything.
Furthermore
2158 (Asad) behold, As-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the symbols set up by God; and thus, no wrong does he who, having come to the Temple on pilgrimage or on a pious visit, strides to and fro between these two for, if one does more good than he is bound to do-behold, God is responsive to gratitude, all-knowing.
2198 (Asad) you will be committing no sin if you seek to obtain any bounty from your Sustainer. And when you surge downward in multitudes from `Arafat, remember God at the holy place, and remember Him as the One who guided you after you had indeed been lost on your way;
Kaabah, Safa, Marwah and Arafat are not in Jersalem. They are in Mecca. Additionally, I do not believe or accept that the Prophet Mohammed PBUH was born and raised in Jerusalem as some members have incorrectly stipulated. It was KSA.
Peace

you made your Hajj at Jerusalem?
If you please explain...
- Was there other muslims with you doing hajj?
- What did you do there?
- Is it hard? meaning...to get into israel?
- what exatly do you do there? do you go onto the rock? inside the dome? down the stairs?
Please Share! D
Personnally, I am a little unsure about the Location...So If I ever had money...I think I would do Both Jerusalam and Mecca...
I figure that way, I'll double my chances at success... lol DSorry for the late reply.
- I bumped into other believers on my trip, but I travelled alone.
- I spent 10 days in Jerusalem, sigh seeing, made a couple of trips into the West Bank.
- I don't have a Muslim name, I'm the only Muslim/Non-Trinitarian/Believer (or whatever else you want to call it) in my family. The people at the borders ask a lot of questions though, including what religion you are and your parents religion, so I just responded with 'Christian' to avoid hassle.
- I went to the actual site of the dome (where the holy of holies used to be), washed my face, hands and arms up to my elbows and feet. Prayed towards the dome. Went up onto the platform and circled it whilst praying.
They don't let non-muslims (or should I say anyone with no proof they are shia or sunni) into the actual area where the rock is anymore.
I would never be allowed to enter Mecca, because that requires certificates etc, from a mosque, and I didn't come to Islam that way, so I don't have those documents.
Anything else you want to ask?

The ka'bah could also be the area where the dome of the rock is. Especially considering that's the area traditionally believed to be where Abraham set up a shrine and sacrificed, by Jews and Christians.

Does anyone REALLY know what Safa and Marwah are?

Jerusalem is surrounded my mountains, Arafat could easily apply to any of those. For all we know the hill in Makkah now called Arafat, may have just been given that name later.
Peace.

Yeah Brother/Sister....there is..... Next time you may go...TAKE ME WITH YOU! laugh lol
Thats so cool man, wow. I bet it was a Truly rewarding feeling huh?
Inshallah I hope to go.Unfortunatly, Pegan Israel is trying to take over The Dome of Rock AND Al-Aqsa Mosque.
then Mecca is Taken over by Pegan KSA.so that totally lessens my chances of visiting EITHER place.
Salaam and thanks for Sharing...
PS> DO you have pictures you would like to Share....? D

Dear follower
For me, conspiracy theories are something I tend to keep firmly sealed in Youtube. Maybe this and maybe that is merely conjecture.
Safa, Marwah, Kabaah and Arafat are in Mecca, not Jerusalem. Period. Whether they are superficial names made up recently or do not even exist, is once again, pure conjecture and guesswork.
No one is asking you to accept my view. What I am saying is that this is where I will be performing my pilgrimage because for me, this is the place which is mentioned in the Quran. I don't believe that we have been duped for over 1400 years into some pagan rituals and straetigic Quranic locations have been chenged just because PM feel they are right and the rest of the billion plus Muslims are wrong!
You can go to Jerusalem and walk around the Dome of the Rock as the Kabaah and then call the 'Wailing Wall' Safa and Marwah and then find a mountain nearby and name it Arafat then surge down from it........... Not me.
Peace

Dear RA786
Some of the stuff I see on here, sometimes really amazes me. I know there are people in this world that can come up with some sesame street stories trying to back up their claims, but some explanations are beggars belief. It's like there is a competition on who can come up with the most ludicrously far fetched imaginary fantasy entwined with false facts pretending to be divinely inspired marinated with pure bullsh@@, left to stand for half an hour in order to increase taste, and then presented as fact expecting to win 1st prize and then the Nobel prize! Not even hoping but expecting to win the prize.

lol laugh
easy now brother...sometimes I feel the same way,....Safa and Mawrah (as talked about in another thread) Are rock and flint stones that are God's Methods/ways of woshrip (or sighns) so no offense or guilt is on he who circles/walks around by them.
Freemdinds Translated this as The Camel and Goat heavy with Milk are amoungst God's Decrees. Pilgrimage to the sanctuary, or is merely passing through, commits no error that he should partake of them.
This to me makes absolutley no sense at all.
The only thing that seems to make sense is for them to be literally Safa and Mawrah.(names of hills in Mecca).
Why would people think circling/walking around Flintstone be bad? Or why would Partaking The Camel and Goat heavy with milk be percieved as Bad so that God had to reassure the peopel? I dont know. -
peace RA786,
You mix well-thought questions with ill-thought questions. Dont worry, this is common, and almost everyone does it, including myself, it just depends to what degree.
Thus, knowing this, what system do you employ to minimise your own errors?
Perhaps answering this will lead to less confusion in future.

Thank...uh... I dont really understand bro wakas... can you please explain?
If you would point out to me where I have made an Ill-thought question it may help guide me into the right direction.what system do I employ to minimise my own errors?
^ Can you repeat this question in a simpler form? Thanks Wakas D

the story of the prophet praying towards jerusalem is nothing but a lie.
396 - The first Sanctuary established for the people is the one in Bakka, blessed, and a guidance for the worlds
and then
2125 - And We have made the Sanctuary to be a model for the people and a place of security. And you shall take, from the station of Abraham, a place for making the contact. And We entrusted to Abraham and Ishmael You shall purify My Sanctuary for those who visit, and those who are devoted, and the kneeling, the prostrating.
Is jerusalem a place of security? Is jerusalem is a city of peace? Did Abraham and Ishmail's prayer took place in Jerusalem? All answers point to NO. Since its existence, the city has seen nothing but bloodshed, shirk, riots and on and on.
Also, ignorant muslims take 171 to mean the present day "Masjid Al Aqsa" of Jerusalem. The verse says that this is the mosque whose surroundings Allah has blessed. Are the surroundings of that mosque (old city of jerusalem) blessed in any way? NO NO NO No NO
As a matter of fact, Masjid Al Aqsa was not even built at the time of the Quranic revelation to Prohet Muhammad.

As opposed to Mecca? The Kaaba for all recorded history was a booth that housed idols and all manner of war was fought over it, before during and after the life of the prophet. There is no peaceful city anywhere on earth, and in tradition there is no singular location of holiness. In the Bible Abraham builds a shrine to God everywhere he goes. Even though Jews say that Jerusalem is the navel of the earth, etc the Bible says the ark was housed there because it was previously a big threshing floor, in other words a large flat surface suitable for a shrine.
People are nuts when it comes to aggrandizing holy sites.

recorded history always is never 100% correct so we have to take it with grain of salt. the main purpose i quoted 396 was to show evidence that the house of Allah is in Mecca since the start of mankind. when it is further said that this house is blessed and a guidance for mankind, this simply means whoever is there to take guidance (salah/tawaf/worship/submission to Allah). Such a guidance is not automatic that everyone who will go there will be blessed. Imagine performing visiting the house of Allah and paying for it through haram means? such a visit or worship is likely not accepted.
this jerusalem story is completely fake and this city was never the direction of salah for anyone. the word 'qibla' means...direction of faith which is Allah's judgement of Islam.
Lastly, the story that Abraham built the Kaaba physically is fake. The arabic used is "qawaid" which is not the word used for "bricks and mortar". The verse simply means that Abraham and Ishmail worshipped Allah at the Kaaba and properly re-established the rituals of salah and tawaf. these are the "qawaid" of islam tha the verse refers to.

Well, if possible, I'd go to Jerusalem, since no mosque should have any say whether or not I am Muslim. Even then, the question arises on who is on the TSA no-fly list. Next, financially. Not everyday I can wake up and drag myself to the airport and afford the airfare/hotel accomodations.
