    Peace all,

I've had time this weekend to spend time on some translation. I hope you can share your comments on the following renditions.

    Chapter 113

In the name of God, Most Powerful and Most Merciful

1 Say ?I seek shelter with the Lord of the emergence (of Truth)
2 From the harm of created things,
3 From the harm of the obscuration (of knowledge) spreading
4 From the harm of those who disrupt binding contracts
5 And from the harm of the envious when they hold a grudge.

    Chapter 114

In the name of God, Most Powerful and Most Merciful

1 Say ?I seek shelter with the Lord of the people,
2 The Ruler of the people,
    3 The god of the people;
4 From the harm of the evil whisperers who disown (their) -
5 Whispers into the ideas of the people
6 Whether they be of the jinns or of the people.

    Regards.

      Peace truth,

Thank you for your translation. It makes a lot of sense. I found your translation of 113 especially good.

I had a couple of comments on 114. I think that the Arabic word "khanas" in 1144 means invisible. How did you arrive at the meaning of disown?

      Also, could you translate "jinn"?

      Peace and all best wishes,

      Ayman

Khannas - to remain behind, hold back, withdraw

Thus these proposers of evil will suggest these things but will withdraw from responsibility for them. Thus they disown their evil suggestions.

        Also, could you translate "jinn"?

Jinn remains problematic for the time being - I left it untranslated but will surely work on this immediately.

        Peace.
