It is not your right, or mine, to judge them. Do you know that millions of women in this world have no choice in this matter, they are being forced into prostitution by others, or by circumstances because they and their children would otherwise starve?

What I was saying was that anyone who believes the idiotic claim that there is a necessity to circumsize women, clearly also believes that women don't have the same right as men to enjoy sex. Because let's face it -- the reason being given for this barbaric crime is always that a woman's libido should be curbed or elimininated.

What on earth are you insinuating? I should be shocked at this statement, but knowing the illogical twists and turns in previous posts, I'm just amazed that it still continues. Apologise please, this is way beyond a decent discussion.On the topic of "I'm a hijabi and I'm proud of it", some women in my extended family carry this to the extreme. In Disneyworld, in the summer, the full works...gloves, eyes covered etc. Apparently, a crowd of kids thought it was a ninja show. No kidding, they even said it out loud. Everywhere they went, many people stared. It's the same as a woman wearing an extremely revealing dress and going out in a mixed gathering of men, women, children and the pets. Inappropriate. It draws attention, just the opposite extremes of the same coin...both parties consider it their right to wear what they choose and for people to mind their own business. They are proud of what they are and don't mind showing it. Great for drawing the mobs upon themselves, provoking a reaction. In the former case what's frustrating is that it's considered god ordained. Thus, one must be free of criticism in the former and those that say it's inappropriate or stare/comment, their day will come.
I think what the women in this thread are trying to say all along is that it's not god ordained, that those that wear it and act condescending, those that insist that others must wear it or suffer the consequences etc should really stuff it. That's it. Many people wear cultural/ethnic clothes (head scarfs for example on one hand, skirts/blouses on the other), nothing wrong with it...there should be tolerance on both sides. But on both sides also there are examples of taking it too far and of inappropriateness.
