My friends are not aware that I'm not a Sunni any more and if it wasn't for my seriously biting my tongue, by now we'de have had several arguments. I was with a friend who converted a while back and she looked at me and asked if I'd changed my eyebrows, (now, even when I was Sunni I followed the opinion that it was re-shaping the brow that was wrong and not the removal of random hairs that weren't necessarily a part of the brow) and I replied Yes to her. So she looked at me with a funny look and said, 'You know that's wrong, now Allah's curse is upon you' and I was so baffled and in fact quite angry about this whole episode that I just didn't say anything I didn't even discuss the alternate opinion. I think I just mumbled something but with a look so stern on my face that she didn't retort. I didn't only find it extremely unnecessary seeing as we were in a public place, it was also condescending and plain rude. Several times during the day she'd made unnecessary comments of the like such as mentioning the length of my jumper and that my arms were showing? I was already quite aware of that.

How do you deal with such situations when you're still 'in the closet' so to speak, about your beliefs?

I've had several situations like this. I told a friend that I was thinking of taking off the Hijab and her response was that I will be Satan's bride on the day of judgement. giveup

        Peace,
        Respectfully.

Always ask for proof from The Quran. The first thing is that they will run to the books written by unknown men signed as Bukhary an Muslim and then you can fire away with 7185, 316, 3923, 456, 5234, 6844, 7750.

This alone should get a person to think, especially is s/he speaks /understands Arabic.
        God bless you.

During my time in Leicester, i've got to know many sunnis and they all still know me and can't believe i reject their hadith books even after i give them the evidence.

        Peace.

            Thereformer,

Seeing as you're so vocal in support of Hadith, do you mind popping over to my thread about Omar ibn Al-Khattab saying Quran alone is enough?

Abu Hurairah's 3rd Law of Ahadeeth For every hadeeth, there is an equal and opposite ahadeeth.

Go find it and cite it to them!

Aha, Really, I prefer the answer of Sarah but yours definitely will make a war between him and her .

P.S the question is for you and Sarah as well, Do you know the difference between Hadith Sahih and Hadith wich is Isnaad Sahih ? The answer Yes or No

                  Yes do you?

                  questions for you,

                  • do you know the difference between matn sahih and mawd3? yes or no
                  • do you even know what they(above) mean? yes or no
                  • do you know of hadith ghareeb? yes or no
                  • do you know that hadith isn't the word of God? yes or no
                  • do you know the quran is the best hadith? yes or no

HNF if you ask for proof from Quran, they will say it's from hadith. so then challenge their beliefs ask
give me proof of hadith, what book, what number who authenticated it, is the chain sound? is it in line with quran or is it contradictory?

they might just blurt out it's sahih muslim or sahih bukhari reply by saying 'so, dont you know some scholars have deemed a lot of their work as inaccurate such as Albani" he is a sunni hadith scholar and he didn't agree with all of the sahih classification. Muslim and Bukhari also differed in methodology and even opinion.

                      Yes do you?

Yes, If Yes for you what is the chriteria of differing between the hadith sahih and the one whose Isnaad Sahih .

                      questions for you,

                      • do you know the difference between matn sahih and mawd3? yes or no

That shows your ignorance of hadith, we say the Itissal or Thobout al Matn not matn sahih, this is wrong . Secondly we said the hadith al-Mawdou3, there is no matn mawd3 or whatever, in fact we say In9ita3 al matn and men 3adameh.

so the answer will be No as it is wrong from the beginning .

                      • do you even know what they(above) mean? yes or no

Yes for me , No for you (see above) I've explained your ignorance .

                      • do you know of hadith ghareeb? yes or no

Yes, do you know why it is called ghareeb ? and why it is ghareeb ? are we use this ghareeb ?

                      • do you know that hadith isn't the word of God? yes or no

This question is irrelvent because you know that sunnah people take Quran in the first place then Hadith after it.If we take your logic of this question we will not believe in any book other than Quran (books of science, books of Tafsir, books of historians, books of phylosophy ) Do you know that these books are not the word of God ? yes or no.

                      • do you know the quran is the best hadith? yes or no

No, Quran is the perfect hadith.

HNF if you ask for proof from Quran, they will say it's from hadith. so then challenge their beliefs ask
give me proof of hadith, what book, what number who authenticated it, is the chain sound? is it in line with quran or is it contradictory?

Hahah, well he must debate with someone knows very well the hadith, not with a drunk as you like to go ask him or someone doesn't know very well .

You said that you're Quranic, I'm challenging you with Quran

they might just blurt out it's sahih muslim or sahih bukhari reply by saying 'so, dont you know some scholars have deemed a lot of their work as inaccurate such as Albani" he is a sunni hadith scholar and he didn't agree with all of the sahih classification. Muslim and Bukhari also differed in methodology and even opinion.

First of all try to know about Albani and his story about the hadith that he accepted. As I see you don't know and he never said that the ahadith are not inaccurate, this is a lie from you . They(people) asked him about some issues and the result was 40 hadiths according to the questions of people. Go figure .

Muslim was the student of Bukhari and they differed in methodology and opinions not because one of them was wrong as you trying to say but I doubt you will know what this word means " " .

Go learn after accusing people .

No, Quran is the perfect hadith.

so why do you use imperfact hadith from men when you have the best and most perfect hadith of God?

Is it because you dont really understand that perfect hadith?

                            thereformer1

How about you tell us all the criteria seeming you have the pool of knowledge?

The scholars research each link (person) in the chain and learn about their background. If the person was known as a liar cheat or stealer their testimony wasn?t accepted.

So they find a quotation from a reliable source who heard it on the authority of another reliable source who heard it from a sahaba who swore he heard it from the prophet.

One hadith can have multiple chains of narration, and more than one author has quoted the same words of a hadith, using different witnesses and narrators.

A sahih hadiths is one with no weakness or apparent fault. both the chain of transmission and the text are supposed to be sound. nor is it supposed to contradict any established belief in islam i.e. laws of Quran. for it to be sahih it needs

                            • A continuous chain of transmitters no missing person no missing link.
                            • They all have to be ?adleen righteous and have good memory
                            • It shouldn?t be an isolated hadiths
                            • Nor have any defect

If we go by muslims method he recorded hadiths as sahih that at least two reliable successors that had heard from two companions.

I?m asking you in everyday language do you know the classification of a matn and how it is sahih, or does it look like a foreign unknown language to you? Language is about conveying meaning I conveyed the meaning intentionally as I did. if you were wise enough you would realise what I was rendering.

so now that you've had your ego release of what i should have said can you distinguish when the content is authentic? If yes how?

apparently ghareeb is a hadiths transmitted by one narrator

Yes other books other than The Quran are not the word of God I accept. At least I don?t make other books laws of God. that?s the difference between me and you.

If someone claims a hadiths is true and we must abide it, we have every right to question everything, if they don?t know they shouldn?t preach because it just shows their blind following. What if a scholar made error or do you think scholars are infallible?

You?re right I don?t know everything about hadiths but I know enough to recognise the weakness of it. considering you imply you have so much knowledge maybe you should rid us (or myself) with the ?doubt? that hadith is actually authentic in an appropriate thread rather than being disparaging here and going off topic.

I didn?t say I am Quranic, how are you challenging me? what's the challenge exactly?

About Albani I was paraphrasing but you can read about him he didn?t say all of the sahih are sahih, he differed in opinion of the sahih hadiths. Which means he does not believe all sahih hadiths are ?SAHIH?

It doesn?t matter if Muslim was a student of Bukhari, their methodology was different and their outcome of sahih hadiths was different (even some the same) do you not see that if they have different opinions of sahih hadiths then how can you be sure to accept what is sahih?

I?m not accusing anyone, I?m opening questions for thought.

                                Surah Al-Anam (6159)
?Surely, those who have made divisions in their deen and turned into factions, you have nothing to do with them. Their case rests with Allah alone, then He will tell them what they have been doing.?

                                Surah As-Sajdah (4133)
?Who can be better in words than the one who calls towards Allah, and acts righteously and says, I am one of those who are Muslims?

                                Surah At-Taubah (931)
?They have set up their religious leaders and scholars as lords, instead of Allah??

Words of our creator....plain and simple.

Regarding "sunni" people; I tend to ignore the ones who don't listen to anything, like the guy with the lion display picture here. )

Yes, sure thing because I've showed your mistakes and your distortion of Quran and your way of translation Quran by your desires . peacemaking !!!!!!

so why do you use imperfact hadith from men when you have the best and most perfect hadith of God?

When we talk about hadith, we don't talk about perfect or imperfect, we talk about ligeslations and rules . that's what you will not understand your whole life.

Is it because you dont really understand that perfect hadith?

No, it is because you don't really understand that perfect hadith .

No, it is because you don't really understand that perfect hadith .

You have just contradicted yourself there and not answered the question AGAIN

If the hadith of Allah is perfect, as YOU said, and we all agree here, then why do you follow hadith that are NOT perfect by default, because they are NOT from Allah? The legislation and rules from Allah are in Quran, if they are in other books they are not from Allah are they? ;D

So you follow a set of rules and legislation that is nothing to do with Allah or His Book. A set of rules that cannot make up its mind about how many times to do wudu, 1, 2 or 3, because the prophet did ALL of those.

Its ok to follow another set of rules and legislation, but it is NOT ok to say its from Allah or part of Islam, because if it WAS from Allah and part of Islam then it would be IN the Book from Allah along with the other rules and legislation, right?

How about you tell us all the criteria seeming you have the pool of knowledge?

Yes, I know the criteria of Hadith and how it works, but I have to know your criteria of understanding Quran or rejecting in hadith sahih ? the debate will began this way .

These are the basics, have you ever study hadith to reject it or to speak about their validity ?

I?m asking you in everyday language do you know the classification of a matn and how it is sahih, or does it look like a foreign unknown language to you? Language is about conveying meaning I conveyed the meaning intentionally as I did. if you were wise enough you would realise what I was rendering.

No, I would not because you have talked from a point where you don't know the difference between hadith, and I think you forgot before where I correct your fault about the hadith nabawi and charif and I said that they are the same, but as I see from your question, you are still having the same confusion, reading and taking knowldege from internet is after taking knowledge from school and study the subject .

so now that you've had your ego release of what i should have said can you distinguish when the content is authentic? If yes how?

I didn't understand your question, you said when the content ...? if yes how ? . how I can answer by yes when your question is when ? and what contnt are you talking about ? the content of hadith ? if yes specify any hadith (sahih, hassan, dae'f) with example .

apparently ghareeb is a hadiths transmitted by one narrator

No, the hadith ghareeb is what came strange in his story. like the incident was in chicago but newspaper said in florida .

Yes other books other than The Quran are not the word of God I accept. At least I don?t make other books laws of God. that?s the difference between me and you.

First of all you admit that your question is irrelevent .
Second of all Yes you do accept laws from other book like me, the laws of roads, the laws of integration of a school, the procedures to get a paper, and there are lots of other laws you follow and they are not God's words. So for the second time this sentence is also irrelevent .

If someone claims a hadiths is true and we must abide it, we have every right to question everything, if they don?t know they shouldn?t preach because it just shows their blind following. What if a scholar made error or do you think scholars are infallible?

Yes, a scholar can make a mistake but there are others who pay attention to this mistake and they will answer why he said that and explain the issue.

You?re right I don?t know everything about hadiths but I know enough to recognise the weakness of it. considering you imply you have so much knowledge maybe you should rid us (or myself) with the ?doubt? that hadith is actually authentic in an appropriate thread rather than being disparaging here and going off topic.

First of all thank you for admiting that you talk without knowledge lol .
Second of all I've been interupted for writing ahadith saying that this website is for Quran alone .
Third of all you must study " " then I can make a topic about hadith, because you'll interupt me again without knowledge. However I try to make a topic but I must be supported by writing a topic about the authencity of hadith .

I didn?t say I am Quranic, how are you challenging me? what's the challenge exactly?

Ok, so sorry if I accused you, the challenge is with Quran a verse from my choice or your choice and let's see how you are going to interpret it and what's the criteria to interpret a verse .

About Albani I was paraphrasing but you can read about him he didn?t say all of the sahih are sahih, he differed in opinion of the sahih hadiths. Which means he does not believe all sahih hadiths are ?SAHIH?

Albani said nothing about hadith, he has been asked by people in 40 matters and he challenged them that these matters will be sorted from hadith, so he won the challenge because he gave them 40 hadiths Sahih about 40 matters that have been asked . Go figure !

It doesn?t matter if Muslim was a student of Bukhari, their methodology was different and their outcome of sahih hadiths was different (even some the same) do you not see that if they have different opinions of sahih hadiths then how can you be sure to accept what is sahih?

I've gave you the word in arabic, and I've said that Muslim and Bukhari have the same ahadith and the difference is in some narrators, that's all of it, and muslims brought a new way of classification but after all it is the same as Bukhari's way . And you should look for the meaning of the word in english that I gave you in Arabic .

I?m not accusing anyone, I?m opening questions for thought.

So, I think you should read this verse is about talking without knoweldge .

                                          1. "And among men is he who disputes about All?h, without knowledge or guidance, or a Book giving light (from All?h),"

P.S if there is anything rude in my post, I appologize . peace
