Two things were "sent down". And what was done with these "two"
and He taught you/He gave you the knowledge........

after some pause, some people may also now try to reflect---but perhaps retarded children/people can learn only through physical exercises...but since the data already got stored by Bukharis in the non declarative memory cannot be deleted, I have little hope it gets into their minds.

          and what did prophet do?

he (the prophet) teaches you alKitaab and alHikmah and teaches you that which you did not know.

            "the book and the wisdom"

            One book.
            One wisdom.

I don't see any argument here.
A book is a book and wisdom is wisdom... as in the ability to understand the book.

There's only one book mentioned here.

I realize I am new to this website and I will try to refrain from being a know-it-all
-- because I don't know it all and would never claim to...
but this is... peas and carrots, is it not?

                ok, now listen up

                Allah sent down

                1 - the book

2 - ability to understand the book

and that "the ability" is what Muslims believe is sunnah of the prophet!

His explanation for contradictions in hadith

A lot of people say that Hadith has a lot of contradictions!!!
Of course this is true ans must be the case ,but why?
because hadith was said in a lot of occasions ,for example one asked the prophet "what is the best advice to me " he responds "take care of your mother " and another one asks the same question but the prophet repies "worship Allah alone ",and a lot of other answers .Theses contradictions(if you can call them so !)are due to the nature of the prophet himself ,the prophet was a smart man ,he looks at you and describe the best for you exactly as the doctor when he sees you ,he describes the medicine to your illness ,the prophet sees that the first man is having issues with his mother ,so he advises him to take care of his mother ,the other ,the propher sees that his faith is not that strong so he advises him to worship God alone .

                        Are you sure?

if hadith are 'prescriptions' given to people coming to Muhammed for their 'illness' than what are hadithists following NOW when he is no longer with us? They are taking all the 'pills' for all 'illnesses' that people had 1400 years ago instead of taking the 'medicine' from God that is Quran. The hadith we have now may be from a 'bogus' doctor who had his licence taken away for violating The Lancet! o

I know you studied electricity, you mentioned it countless times on the secret board.

What do you mean by secret board ?

And, yes, there are power cuts in Egypt all the time, this is not nonsense!

Yes, there are power cuts, but not because of someone has the power to cut it. That'w what Ayisha said.

Moreover, the above example mentions an important point -- the prophet would advise people according to their situation. But what happens nowadays is that people take things the prophet said for a particular situation and try to apply them in general, ignoring the reason and circumstances for what the prophet might have said.

                                  Good morning. http//www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/natur/nature-smiley-006.gif

What do you mean by secret board ?

The board you supposedly answered 10.000 questions on and refuse to post the link so we can all benefit from your answers and your knowledge. Because of your refusal, we named it the secret board. -*

Yeah sure, I've been in another Forum and they have asked me millions of questions and I answered but I didn't wait another millions of questions, so I did cancel my account . and you know one of the guys that I have talked to him(he was an atheist) and he got all his questions from this forum and he gave me the link.

No, sorry I'll not give you the link (believe me or not , I don't care ).

No, you did a cheap trick ( saying " is it a secret forum? this question is a deceptive question like ah you hide something because there is something and if the person doesn't get careful of this question, he will give what you want) .

P.S millions of questions was a metaphore, but I might have answered more than 10.000 questions .

Yes, there are power cuts, but not because of someone has the power to cut it. That'w what Ayisha said.

                                  sigh

How in the world do you expect to have a meaningful discussion with people if you even misunderstand a very simple English sentence?

Ayisha wrote "Egypt has a lot of power cuts." This sentence is grammatically and factually absolutely correct. She didn't write anywhere that "someone has the power to cut it", that's what you, and only you, understood.

I have no issue with people expressing themselves in a language they have no perfect command over, and as long as posts are comprehensible, I see no problem with mistakes etc. But what you are doing here is very exhausting -- you keep attacking people for things they have not said, based on your faulty understanding of English. Please show a bit of humility and double check statements if they are not entirely clear to you. That would save us all time and energy.

it is Quran. If I 'teach' you a poem I teach you the words of the poem.

2- teaches you that which you ddi not know.. so there is somthing besides Quran, How ? and why ? and where is it if you claim that you follow Quran alone ? even you violate these verses if you don't admit that prophet his mission was to warn and to greet and to teach and it is the important word here .

961-5 Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created-
Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood
Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,-
He Who taught (the use of) the pen,-
Taught man that which he knew not.

Is Allah saying He taught the use of the pen? Did He come and show man how to hold the pen and show him how to write with the pen? is Allah saying the use of the pen is that which man did not know?

What was taught is Quran, it is IN Quran that Allah gave the lesson, the lesson is IN Quran. What is the point of giving the Quran which is full of wisdom if Muhammed was to teach something totally different?

                                    Please answer these questions

I realize I am new to this website and I will try to refrain from being a know-it-all
-- because I don't know it all and would never claim to...
but this is... peas and carrots, is it not?
Yes it is. The thread has come to a point that it's clearly a waste of time explaining the obvious. Some would say there was no need to in the first place and I would tend to agree.

But did the Prophet PBUH come to teach?

Isn't the PM's stance that the Prophet PBUH's job was only to deliver the message which is usually backed up by ayat 599 amongst other ayats?

The question again is how did the Prophet PBUH deliver the message and where does wisdom come into the equation?

                                        Peace

                                          Peace

                                          Salaam Zulu,

I believe Prophet Muhammad's duty was to deliver the message. He was bestowed the wisdom (the essence of the Qur'an) so he could lead the Believers through examples and actions. For example, when the Qur'an ordains the Believers to speak humbly and modestly, the Prophet would know better not to swear or talk to others harshly. What he did to give examples to the Believers, is all in the Qur'an.

When the Qur'an ordained the Prophet to say 'salaamun alaikum' to the Believers, that's what he did or do you think the wisdom of the Prophet is to say 'Assalaamu 'alaikum instead?" When the Qur'an ordained the Prophet to perform ablution by washing the face, the hands and rubbing the head and the feet, that's what he did, or do you the think the wisdom of the Prophet is to add washing the mouth, rubbing the nose and rubbing the ears? Prophet was endowed the understanding of the Qur'an, so he could lead by examples.

We need not look other sources other than the Qur'an to see what the Prophet did.

                                          Salaam.
