Modern wars and their narratives : The Ukraine and Russia war.

Peace All.
As an observant of the Ukraine conflict I am wondering about the recent situation and trying to make sense of it.
It seems to me this is a proxy war of Ukraine and the west against Russia. Ukraine is providing the army , the west is providing the equipment and intelligence.
The west led by America are clearly calling it a proxy war now and are openly admitting they were/ are involvedTrump and his team are trying to give the message that they are not part of it and want to stop the fighting. They want Ukraine and Russia to have the dialogue and stop the war.
Is trump serious ? Then something is not right about the set up according to lots of contradictions in the narratives, I will list the issues
-
Trump claiming he wants the war to end , too many getting killed, first puts pressure on Ukraine to seek peace.
-
After the fall out, Ukraine makes the decision to go along with it
[Europe on the other hand want to come to the table only after Ukraine in on a stronger position}. -
Russia keeps fighting and say they want to solve the situation on three conditions for their own security.
-
Trump decides to allow help to Ukraine after this weeks meeting with Zelensky and the Ukraine team.
-
The west narrative has changed to "they agree with the deal . Now according to them Putin/Russia has the ball on its court. Pressure on Putin to accept a ceasefire!
-
Russia are saying , what deal ? They need to look at the contents of the talk between America and Ukraine, then put their side to it first. They have not made any deal.
. -
Is this a trap? Can the side of the west just make a deal and expect Russia to accept a ceasefire or risk being labeled as the side that does not want peace?
-
What about the real causes of the war and the loss and devastation on both sides? Who has the upper hand now? Why only a ceasefire and not a complete end to hostilities between the two?
Is this not confusing to people?
America was involved in the conflict, then the broker is not neutral, why not seek another neutral country to carry out the talks ?
This does not seem fair/normal.It looks like a trap or something that is not going to be solved .
What are your thoughts?
GOD bless you.

GL, this war is tragic and the ones who suffer most are always the ordinary people caught in the middle. The way things are playing out feels all too familiar. Wars start, narratives shift, and in the end, those in power decide when it is time to "talk peace." But real peace is never just about signing deals, it is about justice, and history shows that justice is rarely the priority.
Wars may have different names but they follow the same pattern. Power struggles, shifting narratives, and the illusion of peace when it serves an agenda. The Quran speaks about justice, sincerity in resolving conflicts, and warns against deception in war. Hudaybiyyah showed how peace deals can be tactical, the hypocrites in Madina proved that not everyone who talks about peace actually seeks it, and Pharaoh controlled the narrative to justify oppression.
Is what is happening now any different from what has always happened in history? The world wars, the rise and fall of empires, or even the battle between the Persians and Romans that the Quran mentions in 302-4, where power kept shifting but the cycle of war remained the same?
I see all of this as unfolding according to God's plan. He knows exactly what this game is about. At the same time, He allows people to use their free will so that on the Day of Judgment, no one can have an excuse to deny their wrongdoing. Every nation, every leader, and every individual will have to face what they did.
The big question I always ask myself is what is the actual meaning behind all of this, this life, this world, the beauty and the beast. We talk about good and evil, free will, Satan, and Adam, but in the end, it all unfolds as God has written. Only He knows the full purpose of this entire narrative of the world and the universe. What we do know is that He has given us guidance, and for that, we are grateful. In times like these, when wars rage and uncertainty grows, I find myself reciting Al Fatiha more often, asking God to keep us on the path of those He has blessed, not those who have gone astray or earned His wrath. That is all we can do with the little control we have, seek His guidance and trust His wisdom.

Peace Fusion.
Thank you for your interesting view. I agree with most of what you say.Yes indeed GOD is in overall control and this is part of the trial of the humans.
In general, I was looking for views to see as many different takes and see what is the reality in this conflict.
I listen to many different news channels and different takes on the issue, for example this Romanian guy does a lot of analysis and here is one of his view about the news of conflict and the latest talks of the ceasefirehttps//www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqM9s7y6EyM
We sometimes do not know many things and we have to stay neutral until we get evidence.
The world is strange and unpredictable . Reality is hard to accept by most.
GOD bless you.
Peace.
