No one can know what the future holds, can anyone?...

Salaam mz,
I agree with you. This one might also be of help...
Chapter 29
- A.L.M.
- Did the people think that they will be left to Say ?We believe? without being put to the test?
- While We had tested those before them, so that God would know those who are truthful and so that He would know the liars.
Peace.

Salaams Zenje,all,
I am requesting if ,anybody has details to prove Allah Knows the ultimate , which of us are destined for heaven and hell, will apreciate it ,However there are obviously general statements in the quran, that may say evil will end up in hell and all the good doers will end up in heaven.Nadia and Ali here i think beleive in this strongly - may be they would like to throw some wood on the fire, with respects.(another pointer-does Allah with his infinite knowledge know things before we actually do them, although he knows our thoughts and what we have allready done and what we are doing, and i believe thats all)Thanks.

Tell me if I go to heaven or hell?
I use to visit Bars that includes Lap dancing and kinky stuff.
I use to pick up women hanging out in front of casinos in Vegas.
When I am invited to slumber parties ,whenever I get druck and stoned cold I would only realise which lady is beside me the next day when I am sober.
I dont despise but I do not encourage vagrant or beggars to come beg me for money. Now I visit Free minds and some other websites to purge myself of the psychological bug thats disturbing me because I just past 40.
Any takers! If no one knows then this thread is futile.

Allah has said ,to the best of my knowledge , if you are righteous and follow this path and believe in the day of judgment - you are forgiven provided you don't uphold the evilness of the past.
Thanks and bye.

Peace be upon you,
Excellent topic, thank you for being brave enough to bring it up. I hope to add something to the conversation after I study a little.

Peace brother MZ,
Thank you for your informative and thought provoking posts.
does anyone here think they know of someone other then themselves who knows the future - please share it ,if you can.
We don't know the future but there are plenty of others who do.
For instance, the "malaika" in 230 knew the future.
The God's servant in 1880-81 had knowledge of the future.
Even Iblis knew the future in 717.
The God created time itself and He certainly knows the future.
I am requesting if ,anybody has details to prove Allah Knows the ultimate , which of us are destined for heaven and hell, will apreciate it ,However there are obviously general statements in the quran, that may say evil will end up in hell and all the good doers will end up in heaven.
What you are saying above is not consistent with what you said previosuly below
Of course we are told of the consequances by the allmighty , doing good will lead to heaven and doing what is evil will lead to the far worser place -hell.?????
On one hand you say destiny is "which of us is destined for heaven and hell" on the other hand destiny is "doing good will lead to heaven and doing what is evil will lead to the far worser place -hell". Which is it?
Let me make it clearer for you. Destiny is something that is predestined, i.e., already planned.
Nadia and Ali here i think beleive in this strongly - may be they would like to throw some wood on the fire, with respects.(another pointer-does Allah with his infinite knowledge know things before we actually do them, although he knows our thoughts and what we have allready done and what we are doing, and i believe thats all)Thanks.
Brother, there is only one creator and neither we nor the "malaika" can create the future. Thus the future can be considered as already created and this is how even Iblis was able to see it.
However, the future is not what you think. Time is not one dimensional. The fact is that we are able to make choices that change the future. Since we don't create the future, we must be only selecting from available futures. This indicates that although we are only aware of one dimension, time is multi-dimensional, thus enabling multiple possible futures.
That's why our choices are described as a path. It is a path on this two-dimensional time sheet. The only good path is the straight path.
An additional time dimension makes it possible for the future to be known and at the same time for us to have free-choice.
For each of us, the future converges onto two possible outcomes. There is a future where we are in heaven and there is a future where we are in hell. Iblis saw that in the majority of possible futures, people will folow him. We know for sure that he couldn't see who exactly will follow him because otherwise he can just sit back and relax instead of making the effort he talked about in 716.
What if you knew the future? what would you do with that information? I am asking this question to everybody on this thread.
Peace on who followed the guidance,
Ayman.

Peace be upon you,
I agree with all that ayman said above. But I want to add some points.
There is some cases when we are allowed to know the future. It's a blessing from the god (nee?ma) **. When we acquire some of the knowledge of the god, as everybody does at different levels, we become able to predict the outcome of some process.
The god created everything according to his laws, and everything goes by these laws (tasbih).
Surely, we can not be 100% sure of the outcome of a process because we don't have an absolute knowledge. We cannot take in consideration all the parameters involved in a given process because it's infinite.
Nontheless, we can predict easily that if we drop an apple from a window, it will fall. It's a law, and it works unless the god wills otherwise. Even in this simple case, there still some possibilties that the apple takes other trajectory than the one predicted.
Our conception of these laws can always be improved by acquiring more knowledge about the world around us, unless we decide to put a lock on our mind and cut the logical connection with this world, and thus reject the blessing of the god.
** Corrected.

Salaams ayman,
if you wish you may discuss any ayat you wish, which you think proves the future, but do post the ayat as you have then we can discuss how and what it is saying. The other point you said about the consistancy,i believe one just way .
If you do good Allah will reward you and vice versa. To me nothing is predestined from how i have managed to understand sorry if you don't understand it.The three ayats you have mentioned don't prove a thing - but they do prove missunderstood things ,to me anyways.
So where do you want to start, and thanks for the opurtunity.Salaams.
-
Peace brother MZ,
if you wish you may discuss any ayat you wish, which you think proves the future, but do post the ayat as you have then we can discuss how and what it is saying..
- And when your Lord said to the controllers "I am making in the earth a leader/replacement." They said "Do you make in it, who corrupts in it and sheds the bloods, while we glorify with Your praise and we holy unto You." He said "I know what you do not know."
1880-81. "And as for the youth, his parents had faith, so we feared that he burdens/oppresses them with tyranny and ungratefulness/rejection. So we intended that their Lord substitutes for them better than him purification/betterment and nearer in mercy/relation."
- "Then I will come to them from between their powers/hands and from behind them and from their right and their left and you will not find most of them grateful."
Moreover, we have many signs where The God talks about future events (for example, see chapter 76). We even have signs in the past tense telling us what people will say in the future (For example, when the hour comes or when they go to heaven or hell). Similarly, conversations that take place in the future (for example 5116-119) are talked about in the past tense.
The other point you said about the consistancy,i believe one just way .
If you do good Allah will reward you and vice versa.Yes, this law is already made (Hence, predestined). What is not predestined is who The God will guide to do good.
Hence, all the signs that talk about The God's will in guiding people are in the present tense and not the past tense (except one, 270, however it is not The God talking but the rejecters from the descendants of Israel).
To me nothing is predestined from how i have managed to understand sorry if you don't understand it.The three ayats you have mentioned don't prove a thing - but they do prove missunderstood things ,to me anyways.
I hope that you can see from my earlier post that predestination (or advanced knowledge of the possible futures) and free-choice (which future to choose) are not mutually exclusive. Hence, I don't see the reason for your objection.
So where do you want to start, and thanks for the opurtunity.Salaams.
I believe that I started by bringing the evidence from the signs (ayat) as you requested. I would appreciate your comments.
Peace on who followed the guidance,
Ayman.

Salaams ayman,
pitty i had presumed you understood my intention from my post,i had only asked for one ayat,i am sure you are busy.So i will deal with your first ayat ,only,i think.
230
what we need to do here is look at just one word really ;
Khaleefatan ,so whats interesting about this lets see some words from the same root(Quranic dictionary-all)
Khoalaf = Misbehaved and worthless person.
Khalefa = To be stupid.
Khalafa = currupt,disobey,forfeit ones word,disagree.
khilf = Diversity,other,else,contrary.
Khalaaf = He dissagreed ,he disobeyed or dified.
= Disobediance,defiance,opposing of a thing.Khalfun = Evil successor.
No from the meanings you may deduce what you are able.Thanks.
But the angels to me anyways deduced and asked Allah what they presumed, from the meaning of what Allah told them.Don't you think.
They didn't need to know the future.I will give you just one example
If i decide to create a dish (food item) ,and tell someone look i am going to make sweet rice ,He may say -Don't you know its not good for diabetics , but i know something he doesn't and whats that .I make it and give it children who may be over the moon especially if they havn't eaten sweet rice before.Obviously if a diabetic does eat that it may not go down well with him.
There are loads of times especially in the arabic lingo you know the actions from the meaning of some of the words, therefore allways check the meanings.Thanks.
The rest of you ayats ,i am afraid each of them are refutable and again there is no predestined anything whatsoever.
Thanks.

Patience brother. One thing I learned is that we should look at ALL signs where a certain concept occurs before making a conclusion about its meaning.
Please patiently examine signs such as the one in 2455 and see that your interpretation of "khalifa" doesn't make sense.
The clear meaning in 2455 nullifies the rest of your arguments.
P.S. On another thread I remember seeing a really good translation that you kindly provided for the story in 1883 onwards. Could you please email that to me.
Thanks and peace on who followed the guidance,
Ayman.

Salaams ayman,
i think you have got the wrong end of the stick.Ayat 2455
has nothing to do with the future(but just could be your translation, might have elaborated more if you had posted it),all its saying is ,to me, Allah is going to ,will help you to succeed if you are good.
Wouldn't you help a collegue when he is down or wouldn't you help someone deserving during your journey through life.
And are you saying Allah will do less for those who are living ,and serving according to his own commands.
Bro. you are no dought deserving of Allahs help to topple the evilness in the world and Allah will help, provided you follow him.what you think?
Allah is the best helper ,provider to them who will lead for him alone. And they will topple all powers ,God bless.

Patience brother. The signs in 2455 have everything to do with proving that your interpretation of "khalifa" as "evil successor" is wrong.
The word "yastakhlif" in 2455 means "to make into a 'khalifa'". Why would The God make a promise to those who have faith that He will make them "evil successors" in the earth!???
Again, it is clear that the word "khalifa" simply means successor/replacement/leader. This completely negates your theory that the "malaika" (not angels) didn't know the future 230.
Peace on who followed the guidance,
Ayman.

Salaams Ayman,
A knife can cut, kill or peel.I could say why do you want to make a knife wich can kill inocents, but you know it will be used for a lot of other things aswell -identical to humankind-i believe
Your example or ayat, the word here is yastaklifanna =certainly he will make successor. That does not nullify other personalities of us,does it make sense? Not a bad try though i think ,Thanks.
Salaams.
