Weird that they dont see us in the same light.I blame it on brainwashing,a whole childhood of subconscious mind-influencing upbringings. This is hard to break free and more or less impossbile to do so after 25+ years.People cannot rewind the procedure it is imprinted in their heads"God will send me to hell if I dont follow hadith".Fact is,people like my grandmother will never change,im glad my mum is open-minded, it does help.At least I know that what I do is for Allah and not some man who lived 1200 years ago.Man made laws are the hates of Allah."But say not - for any false thing that your tongues may put forth,- "This is lawful, and this is forbidden," so as to ascribe false things to Allah. For those who ascribe false things to Allah, will never prosper"-Quran 16116.Scholars,muftis ETC are doing this only Allah is in a position to prohibit and permit things, live life like a hadith follower you are limited, live life like Quran follower you are free.We are free.I know why people will leave Islam-Hadith and I will tell you something if Islam was hadith.I would too.But its not,Quran is Allah's words, and theres nothing better than Islam(without hadith)

I know why people will leave Islam-Hadith

I might have mentioned this on here another time, but not long before I came to this forum I was involved in another. They were big on sunnah and one day a lady asked why we thought many women leave Islam. This set of a chain of events which saw me leave in disgust and seriously rethink my beliefs. I decided to answer honestly and I mentioned things like the fact you are constantly being told what to do (either outright or in more subtle ways), how there is so much confusion between culture and Islam, the fact that not all husbands practice Islam well and so that can be off putting,...I mean seriously there are so many reasons and I mentioned many of them that time on the forum. It can be severely restrictive for some, depending on how they practice. Well, it wasn't that well received, nobody really wants to discuss any of the problems in Islam and for me, I'm thinking "I love Islam, I love God; we need to discuss these problems so we can fix them!!" For me it's a no-brainer. But many prefer to stick to their excuses and push stuff under the carpet.

Then the second thing was reading the other answers that were given in answer to this woman's question. They were mostly along the lines of

      • the women who leave were never really sincere in the first place
      • they converted to marry only
      • they faith isn't strong enough
      • it was obvious they were never going to last .... and so on.

One girl said that she can always tell when a female convert is not sincere and will end up leaving. I thought to myself if she is so sure she can tell (like God??) then I would not like to be a convert around her and have this judegment made on me! Imagine the vibes you'd be getting off her!! It could be the cause for someone to leave. They really seemed so full of themselves. I said with all this going on it's a wonder more women don't run from Islam. Then I pretty much hightailed it outta there 'cos to be honest if I'd said much more I might have been asked to leave P

and...yes, hadith is the cause of much of this rubbish. (

the best way satan leads people astray is mixing truth with falsehood. the bible is that mixture. with the koran, satan couldn't mix the falsehood so why not come up with hadiths and lead people to follow a book other than the 'incomplete' koran. well, it sure has worked.

I totally agree. I asked my more traditional muslim friends if they really think that Satan is that dumb that he lets us see his gameplan. You know like adultery, gambling and drinking. The true trick of satan is when he makes people think they following God, but in fact they are doing his work. Like witch hunting in Salem, Spanish inquisition, murdering people because they watch football on TV, etc.

Rana-I agree, but people mix hadith and Quran into one,I asked my grandmother that hadith is not the same as the Quran she told me to repent and then repeatedly said that hadith a Quran are one(Lol). No one really generalizes themselves with the Hadith, but follow becuase they are brainwashed, forced pressured into following it.Women in particular must fell isolated, why are they covering themselves head-to-toe whilst men can run around in shorts, they then think if this Is what Allah is saying,it is very sexist, truth is that hadith limits women, they should be covered, but not to that extent.I 100% agree on culture, you cannot please society, why bother? Hadith and culture are the problems of Islam, remove them and we have the perfected religion Alllah gave to us.

Now that people are becoming more and more educated its only a matter of a generation before all culture and hadith is removed. When the new brand of religious people rise I assure you they will be with the Quran, the hadith is also very disorganized,Quran-1 book-Hadith-hundered or thousand of books. There are three problems with Islam-hadith,culture and sects, terrorism and uneducated Muslims come from all of those three.

Justamuslim-I agree-Shaytaans Winning now,but we will win for the future.

Emil-There is nothing wrong with watching football as long as it does not take you away from prayer.Other than that I agree

Free_muslim you are thinking positive to think this could be remedied so quickly (in a generation). I wish I could feel that way. I'm sorry about your Grandmother. I'm sure we all have experiences like that. InshAllah she will be guided.

I was referring to what happened in Somalia where people were murdered in the name of God. It is a good example where Satan has convinced that you are following Allah's path, but in fact you are not.....

and I think that during a football game people are praying more than usual. ;D.................Please God, I'll do anything, just let my team win!!!............sorry, not being serious, forgive me.

Aww. Well, at any rate we can only do what we think is right (and even that only to the best of our ablilities) and after than it's up to Allah to judge. Educating our young people is important. )

                            I agree.
                            Not only that.
I think satan the rejected has now tried a new method against us who have rejected hadeeth other then The Qur'an. Now, the cursed one has tried to eliminate a part from The Qur'an. He wants to delete - for start - last two verses of the chapter 9.
I seek refuge in Allah SWT from satan the rejected.

                            Peace.
