Questions...?

Peace welcome to the forums.
I hope I can help a little.
Not everything sends you to hell. The straight path will keep you out of it.
Yes you should be true to yourself i.e.
1736 And do not uphold what you have no knowledge of. For the hearing, eyesight, and heart, all these you are responsible for.
If you have no knowledge of something you are upholding, seek it. If you believe the rules are from God then you follow them because you want a good place in the hereafter.
Perhaps we humans need to see the results of the test and not God. Otherwise we could just say, "I would have" and come up with excuses. However if you yourself experienced the test. You would know the truth.
2424 On the Day when their tongues, and their hands, and their feet will bear witness against them for what they used to do.
I know its a hard life. You make mistakes, but you learn from them. Life gets confusing at times, that's why we can't be hasty until we have knowledge.
Be patient and ask God for help.

welcome
Stepping back and asking questions is the first step. The second? Reading the Quran and verifying what you have been taught.
Being brought up in a Sunni household I understand the emphasis that is put on God's punishment instead of forgiveness and patience. There's even more pressure when there are lots of rules like genders not mixing and only eating with the right hand as well as many many others.
But islam isn't as complicated as sunnism or any other sect. The commandments are much more simple and offer guidance and solutions to our problems.
God knows we'll make mistakes along the way. That's why He calls himself Most Merciful. You just have to learn from your mistakes, ask for forgiveness and get back onto that straight path ) -
I understand, God is the most merciful, the most great..BUT
I just find it really unfair, that, most of us, are going through all these dilemma's in our heads,
and even after researching, still feeling lost. So what, we're all going to hell, just because we
were so confused, and did what we thought was being true to ourselves??I just don't get it. confused
.Funny, I was thinking about this the other day. I ended up asking myself this question Is it better to be firm and content on the path of falsehood or confused and frustrated on the quest for truth?
What do you think God would want from you?
-
Peace sister,
You are correct. Doing nothing and simply floating through life is a sure way to end-up in hell...
Since you are asking the questions, you have made the choice that you will not end up like the sheep who are led to the slaughter.
This life has become a test of will because we asked for this.
We collectively volenteered to go after the big prize of paradise and never ending life...As a consequence, our failure brings a ever ending life of Hell and suffering.
May we all be sucessful in our journey.
3372 We have offered the trust to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they refused to bear it, and were fearful of it. But man accepted it; he was transgressing, ignorant.
7172 And your Lord took for the children of Adam from their backs, their progeny; and He made them witness over themselves ?Am I not your Lord?? They said ?Yes, we bear witness.? Thus you cannot say on the Day of Res5020 And the horn is blown on the promised Day.
5021 And every soul is brought, being driven, and with a witness.
5022 ?You were heedless of this, so now We have removed your veil, and your sight today is iron!?urrection that you were unaware of this. -
I really have never been so confused about Religion, Life and People Before, than these past couple years.
I don't know if something similar has been posted, Forgive me, I'm new,
but it would be nice if someone else out there, felt the same...
It feels as though no matter what i do, according to the Islamic Religion,
I'm going straight to hell.
I mean, aren't we suppose to be true to ourselves?
I mean what's the point of living, if we were given a set of rules to follow blindly like sheep?
Is this life just a test? But Why would God need a test, if he knows everything?
(And don't get me wrong, I do believe in God, and i do call myself a Muslim)
But there comes a point in your life, where you have to step back and ask,
Am i doing what I'm doing because I believe in it? or is it because my Parents? Or my Society?
Or the fact i was raised to believe that a certain way of life is wrong and another is bad?
I understand, God is the most merciful, the most great..BUT
I just find it really unfair, that, most of us, are going through all these dilemma's in our heads,
and even after researching, still feeling lost. So what, we're all going to hell, just because we
were so confused, and did what we thought was being true to ourselves??
I just don't get it. confusedAs salamu alaykum,
with all due Respect.believe me or don't, sister, I know exactly how you feel and I know what you're talking about, even though I've never met you prior to this.
Ever since I was 13 I wanted to be an actor, writer, film director and a producer in Los Angeles and I have even written scripts and scripts and went there twice but got rejected on both occasions and even got banned from the USA. Everytime I plan to do someting I want, something I love, I fail and it seems that whatever I do, is going to fail.
I think/believe that God is testing us so that we can become better people in the Afterlife, God willing. I also believe that we, the real believers, may not have certain things here on Earth becvause they simply don't matter, God knows BEST.
Have you noticed how others get what they want, what they wish, even when they jump the Rules and I've noticed certain people in this "life' get things and they don't even follow The Qur'an. How's that possible/fair, right? Here's how I see it they get things and tbhings here and they don't even follow The Qur'an, because in the Reality they will not get one dime. I see that as fair, yes. Because here, those people that I know, even steal and step on other people's toes to get what they want. So, because that is not fair, then when they get stepped on, will be fair, at least from our point of view.
On Judgement Day, TOTAL JUSTICE will be established and they will say that it is injustice but we will see it as TOTAL JUSTICE, right? God Knows BEST.
Glory be to God,
may God Bless you all.P.S. welcome welcome to the forum, sister and God Bless ya.
Peace and Blessings be upon you. -
Life is a journey it doesn't stop
being unsure doesn't end one in hell, God knows absolute truth.
it's normal to be confused, more information, more ideas.. different views makes you think damn.. where is my place in all of this.
i've felt confused, even there are things today i don't understand and still confuse me but i try to understand.
we are supposed to be true to ourselves, should that even be asked?
you know people are so sure of hell like as if they've been there how can they be so sure? be frank with yourself how can everything you do just land you straight to hell?
we live in society and we get given a lot of things but nowhere are we told to follow blindly, and it's good you compel against it.
do you think God is in need of a test? the need isn't God's. it's our need
most definitely there comes a point in your life where you need to make your own choices, you need to weigh it down, study the texts and come up with your own conclusions.
we're all raised with bias, every single one of us, thats inescapable.
the dilemma is the first step, how can you pass the maths test if you dunno the problem? if you know the problem you study methods of how to solve it, then you can pass it. sometimes you still make mistakes in the maths problem but you show your working out so you get grades and pass anyway. it's not all about being 100% right. what human is?
confusion is normal, confusion isnt the thing that leads us to hell. whoever said that?
even after searching you feel lost. you take one step at a time. sometimes people go too deep into things without even being ready for it. learn about the core things that are important to you. God knows what's in your heart as soon as you unravel things, or even ask more questions and learn/discover more then you'll have a more comfortable position.
Welcome to the forum )

Hi Pr6 and welcome to the forums. I can't say much more than whats already been said.
I see suffernig as a sign of Gods ability to have us go through pain hence hell and a way to learn whats good. I have gone through stages where I would think that there is no God or that there exists a deistic God or what ever else I came across and made sense in the line of reasoning that I was employing at the time.
I think someone has already quoted it(from the Quran) but I will do it again1736 And do not uphold what you have no knowledge of. For the hearing, eyesight and heart, all these you are responsible for.
Wich I believe means that you have to research and learn everything before you take on as valid.
The best way to clear your confusion is to get the good copy of the Quran and relevant books, study them and continue to ponder and discus God on this forum.
@Wakas. I realy like that with God and Bruce in Almighty!!!
Thanks

Peace prettyreckless6 and welcome.
Know that 'questioning' is a very valuable tool. When you ask a question you are exercising your sense of logic. By doing that you're already ahead of the 'sheep'.
It's about mindset, I think. Being confused is NOT a bad thing. We are all confused about something or other. You keep taking small steps; an exponential growth you might call it. If we had all the answers, what would be the point? Humans NEED, crave, THRIVE on a challenge. When there's no challenge we get bored. I sometimes wonder whether this is why Adam and his mate fell to the whims of satan. Think about it, if you couldn't debate about any issue, how boring of a world would that be? God created humans not to be robots. This is why we have free-will and such diversity amongst the races. There is a reason why conversing and exchanging ideas with one another is such a primal instinct. Think about how great it feels to 'let things out'.
Sometimes you have to take a step back, take a deep breath or a step away from things entirely even. We all have questions, we all feel confused at times. It's perfectly natural and okay. You are who you think you are, what you've convinced yourself you are. Take 'confusion' as a positive step in the right direction, as it indeed is.
Just work on being a good person and being good to others, the rest will take care of itself, one way or another.
Being a 'muslim' quranically speaking is in stark contrast to being a sheep. I do think that the Quran is obscure on purpose on certain issues. The message is for mankind, and not all of us see/read things the same way. Heck, I observe this all the time on this forum alone. A bunch of people would basically say the same thing, worded differently and with different insights. That's the beauty of diversity.
Life is a marathon, not a race.

Hi, prettyreckless6
Unlike everyone here I referr to Hadith also (not only to the Quran) I will talk from this point of view.
I really have never been so confused about Religion, Life and People Before, than these past couple years.
I don't know if something similar has been posted, Forgive me, I'm new,
but it would be nice if someone else out there, felt the same...It feels as though no matter what i do, according to the Islamic Religion,
I'm going straight to hell.God forgives everything except taking associates to Him.
Theres a Hadith I really like, in fact it is a conversation between the prophet Muhammad and Jibreel. Jibreel was narrating to the apostle of Allah about Moses and Pharaoh episode ; he said When Pharaoh was drowning, I was trying to put water and mudd in his mouth as quick as possible because I feared that Allah would forgive him.
So if Jibreel, one of the closest beigns to God and one of those who knows Him the best, thinks that Allah could forgive one of the most corrupted persons on earth who proclamed himself a god, why don't we think good about our god too, when He is the most forgivin and merciful.
Don't give up on god mercifulness and try to please him and you will not be disappointed in this life and the next one, inshallah.
"Whoever does good whether male or female and he is a believer, We will most certainly make him live a happy life, and We will most certainly give them their reward for the best of what they did." (1697)
I mean, aren't we suppose to be true to ourselves?
Yes we are, but we arenot supposed to blindly follow our desires neither.
"the (human) soul is certainly prone to evil, unless my Lord do bestow His Mercy but surely my Lord is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful." (1253)
I mean what's the point of living, if we were given a set of rules to follow blindly like sheep?
Is this life just a test? But Why would God need a test, if he knows everything?
He indeed knows everything but He decided to test us to separate the good people from the bad without a shadow of doubt as those who will be punished will not have any excuse.
The one who were the most tested are indeed the prophets even they are god's favorites ; job/Ayub and his sickness, Abraham and his father who throwed him into fire, Lott and his people even his wife was punished, Noah and the death of his son in the flood, Moses and Pharaoh etc... etc...
So the more you are pious and righteous the more you are tested, to make a long story short every one who declare faith will be tested "Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried?, But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars. " (292-3)
It is as simple as god giving us a set of rules that He decided will be the best for us to live a righteous life and He will see if we are able to follow them or not.
(And don't get me wrong, I do believe in God, and i do call myself a Muslim)
But there comes a point in your life, where you have to step back and ask,
Am i doing what I'm doing because I believe in it? or is it because my Parents? Or my Society?
Or the fact i was raised to believe that a certain way of life is wrong and another is bad?The fact that your parents or your society believe in something wont make it more valuable, you have to make your own researches and live your own journey.
I understand, God is the most merciful, the most great..BUT
I just find it really unfair, that, most of us, are going through all these dilemma's in our heads,
and even after researching, still feeling lost. So what, we're all going to hell, just because we

.Confusion is a natural feeling, it is human, it doesnt mean you are necesserely wrong, confusion make you try to advance and correct yourself, we were not given the absolute truth, theres alot of things that are stronger than us and that we are not able to understand with our human minds (like life after death and all) and especially in these times where everything is material and where theres no place to the spiritual anymore, we are loosing our connection with god but we have the tools to relink.
"Recite that which has been revealed to you of the Book and keep up prayer; surely prayer keeps (one) away from indecency and evil, and certainly the remembrance of Allah is the greatest, and Allah knows what you do." (2945)
"But there came after them an evil generation, who neglected prayers and followed and sensual desires, so they win meet perdition," (1959)

Why the gloomy mood? And you sound mad too, at your parents maybe or the community or traditions, etc..
Now who is going to hell other than those who insist on sinning and they know it and couldn't care less? Or those who take their desires and lusts as their god?
Questioning is healthy because if you are honest with yourself you should reach an answer that does not contradict with Quran. But that means that you should study the Quran by yourself really closely and not depend on others to tell you what they think. Do your homework then question.

nope
As per my understanding, Allah never test by 'failing you' or 'giving any loss'. If so, then it is not called 'a test' but it is an 'a'zaab' if you are in loss.
Or, as Allah is knower of all, he know that what is good for His servants and that is not good for you that you are trying to do, then Allah will prevent you from it in order to SAVE you, inshaAllah.
4521
4521 Or do those who work evil expect that We would treat them the same as those who believe and do good works, in their present life and their death? Miserable is how they judge.Mo'mineen get treated differently in this life too by Allah's grace.
May Allah guide us all towards the Truth.

Salaam.
Mister Badr, did AllKnowing God forget something in His Qur'an so that later on His Own creation had to be born to fill it up? I mean, seriously, God has put everything in His Own Book.
"And certainly We have repeated for humankind, in this Qur?an, every kind of example, but the majority of humankind do not consent to anything but denying."
(1789)?We have put forth for humans, in this Qur?an, every kind of example so that they may remember?
(3927).See? God says there in 1789 that He has repeated for us in this Qur'an every kind of example.
What does the majority do?
You answer, please.Of course you won't find a way to build a house or cook, that's something you will discover yourself, after you use your brains, with all due Respect.
Please, p l e a s e, ponder over this 1736. Please, read it yourself and then ponder and t h e n respond, deal? The only reason I did not quote the actual verse from The Qur'an, is because I want you to locate it in The Qur'an, memorise it and then implement it in your life, with all due Respect.
Bro Badr, also, ponder over these
"A. L. R. These are the verses of a Book,- and a Qur'an that makes things clear. "
(151)"We have not instructed the (Prophet) in Poetry, nor is it meet for him this is no less than a Message and a Qur'an making things clear "
(3669)" O people of the Book! There hath come to you our Messenger, revealing to you much that ye used to hide in the Book, and passing over much There hath come to you from Allah a (new) light and a clear Book, "
(515)"A.L.R. These are the verses of the clear Book."
(121)"These are verses of the Book that makes (things) clear "
(262)"These are verses of the Qur'an,-a book that makes (things) clear;"
(271)"These are Verses of the Book that makes (things) clear."
(282)"By the Book that makes things clear,"
(432, 442)"And We have revealed the Book to you which has the clear explanation of everything, and a guidance and mercy and good news for those who submit."
(1689)Salaam.

I don't think that would have helped. People can ask for forgiveness by not talking. Like people who are mute. God understands what is in our hearts even when we don't speak. This hadith is just an insult to Jibreel.

Peace Badr,
Don't you think that hadith contradicts the following verses
1090 And We helped the Children of Israel cross the sea, and Pharaoh and his soldiers followed them out of hatred and animosity. But when he was certain to drown, he said I believe that there is no god except the One in whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am of those who have submitted.
1091 Now you say this? While before you disobeyed and were of the corrupters!
1092 This day, We will preserve your body, so that you become a sign for those after you. But most of the people are unaware of Our signs! -
