Theres a Hadith I really like, in fact it is a conversation between the prophet Muhammad and Jibreel. Jibreel was narrating to the apostle of Allah about Moses and Pharaoh episode ; he said When Pharaoh was drowning, I was trying to put water and mudd in his mouth as quick as possible because I feared that Allah would forgive him.

I don't think that would have helped. People can ask for forgiveness by not talking. Like people who are mute. God understands what is in our hearts even when we don't speak. This hadith is just an insult to Jibreel.

So if Jibreel, one of the closest beigns to God and one of those who knows Him the best, thinks that Allah could forgive one of the most corrupted persons on earth who proclamed himself a god, why don't we think good about our god too, when He is the most forgivin and merciful.

      Peace Badr,

Don't you think that hadith contradicts the following verses

1090 And We helped the Children of Israel cross the sea, and Pharaoh and his soldiers followed them out of hatred and animosity. But when he was certain to drown, he said I believe that there is no god except the One in whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am of those who have submitted.
1091 Now you say this? While before you disobeyed and were of the corrupters!
1092 This day, We will preserve your body, so that you become a sign for those after you. But most of the people are unaware of Our signs!

So Allah was not knowing what ibreel is doing sounds like an adviser of a prime minister is trying to hide a fact from him.

This God off Hadiths may not be the same all knowing God &

Who said God wasnt knowing ? God knows every thing. Jibreel wasnt knowing what God would do with this kafir aknowledging the uniqueness of God.

        Badr

With this mud and water put in his mouth, he was pronouncing

he cried, "I have believed that indeed there is no iela'aha except the One in Whom have believed Bani Iesraa'eel

and I am from amongst the Muslims"

        1090

Badr- Don't get fascinated by conjectural gossips.

But he died anyway, it was too late for him, God didnt listen to his confession. Jibreel was afraid that God would pardon him.

I really have never been so confused about Religion, Life and People Before, than these past couple years.
I don't know if something similar has been posted, Forgive me, I'm new,
but it would be nice if someone else out there, felt the same...

It feels as though no matter what i do, according to the Islamic Religion,
              I'm going straight to hell.

I mean, aren't we suppose to be true to ourselves?

I mean what's the point of living, if we were given a set of rules to follow blindly like sheep?

Is this life just a test? But Why would God need a test, if he knows everything?

(And don't get me wrong, I do believe in God, and i do call myself a Muslim)
But there comes a point in your life, where you have to step back and ask,
Am i doing what I'm doing because I believe in it? or is it because my Parents? Or my Society?
Or the fact i was raised to believe that a certain way of life is wrong and another is bad?

I understand, God is the most merciful, the most great..BUT
I just find it really unfair, that, most of us, are going through all these dilemma's in our heads,
and even after researching, still feeling lost. So what, we're all going to hell, just because we
were so confused, and did what we thought was being true to ourselves??

I just don't get it. confused
              .

Salam sis and welcome to free minds peace

I think there comes a time in most people's lives when the way they live, belief, the stuff they follow and do is questioned, it means a point of growing.

It is a great thing you are questioning but depends on your reasons for questioning. If you were raised a muslim in the west I imagine that would be hard seeing friends and peers 'having a great time' etc and you feel you can't because your religon/culture is restrictive, there is a test in itself.

You need to take a step back and look at Quran with new eyes and nothing else added to it to see if you even believe at all before you can take steps to sort what exactly God is telling you. All life is a test, for everyone, not just the religious. There are many people who have no actual belief as they have not had the 'proof' or as they see it some 'proof' that a God even exists but they are still tested in many ways, like if they see someone in need how will they react? Still a test and who knows in later life that person may find their 'proof' was here all along, they just didn't see it.

The mistake is to follow blindly what you are told to follow with no 'feel' for what you follow and do in your life. Maybe God has decided now is YOUR time to wake up and take some thought about it, I would consider that a blessing if I was you as too many never are chosen to have that 'wake up' call.

It can be confusing yes, so is Maths when you're first introduced to something new you didn't know yet. When you learn it as you have to in school it becomes less confusing. The difference is you are now being asked to learn and look and you are not being forced to do it, you are being given the opportunity if you want to take it and see where it leads you. Your mind has been opened up to 'question' and find the answers by your own hard work and with your own mind. If you do read Quran with new eyes, eyes that see that Allah says this is easy for those who reflect, eyes that see Allah says this is complete and fully detailed for those who give thought, and not the eyes you have had that have told you that you cannot understand it on your own that you need hadith and scholars and tons of other books to even start to understand it and not to question anything they say, then ask Allah to guide you, He is all you need, and He will not leave you to flounder. Trust Him.

Hope you find your way out of the mire. peace

Great, so hadith teach that even jibreel tried to deceive God? Anyone with half a brain would know that is as false as it gets, like Jibreel even thought God wouldn't KNOW )

                  As salamu alaykum,
                  with all due Respect.

Badr, you shouldn't rely on the hadeeth from Bukhary & co at all.
You should rely on Allah SWT and obey His Kitaab only. Like prophet/messenger Muhammad did.

                  No disrespect.
                  Peace.

He is mistaken if he ask his immam he will tell you it is not the job of Jebreal but is Azrael in fact.

Azrael is the name of the Archangel of Death in some extrabiblical traditions. He is also the angel of death in Islamic theology. It is an English form of the Arabic name Azra'il (&#1604 or Azra'eil (&#1604, the name traditionally attributed to the angel of death in Islam and Sikhism, as well as some Hebrew lore. The Qur'an never uses this name, referring instead to Malak al-Maut (which translates directly as angel of death). It is also spelled Izrail, Azrin, Izrael, Azriel, Azrail, Ezraeil, Azraille, Azryel, or Ozryel. Chambers English dictionary uses the spelling Azrael. The name literally means Whom God Helps.[
