I am promoting a system (rites of passage) for helping our youth transform from child to adult based on Quran, particularly for African American males/females. What are your suggestions? I have written my masters thesis using the life of El Hajj Malik Shabbazz (Malcom X) as one example

      Peace,

I find this to be a good idea which may even be converted to a small booklet or book for parents/children.

Do you have something written on this already? Or are you at the information collecting stage?

I have published two books on rites of passage. Both sre based on my Master degre thesis. "The Theology of Minister Malcolm X An African American Male erite of Passage." The second is "Rites of PassageTheory and Practice." I am now researching and asking for help in developing a Quran based rites of passage. We should alll be working diligently to develop a booklet to help us deliver our youth to ALLAH and the Truth (Quran), and away from the mistruths, oppression, distortions and peer pressures. Muslim youth face and must deal effectively with the same issues as non-muslim children who must transition from child to adult.
