islam is religion??

My humble understanding and logic goes against the idea of "religion", DINE is better translated as "obligation" than "religion".
An easy exemple of this is in surat al fatiha Maliki Yawmu Dine --> never been translated as "King of the day of the Religion" but "King of the day of Retribution"
