Quranism sect? Are we "Quranists"?

Are we "Quranists"? Should we even label ourselves anything other than "muslims"? Is it ok to label ourselves as such?
I feel, we shouldn't call ourselves anything but muslims (note the lowercase m). I feel I am already being labeled as a Quranist (even within this community) and this make me feel separated and different. Futhermore, even if the word "quranist" is an improper noun now, in a few more years it will be used interchangble with other sectionary words such as sunni/shiite etc. We should end this right now and mitigate the use of such provincializing words.

I'm in agreement. Don't like the term and don't use it. I simply go by Muslim.
Why the lower case 'm'? To refer to it as its meaning rather than its use as a symbol? In that case we should perhaps be calling ourselves 'peacemakers' with a lower case 'p' when speaking English p

"Qur'anists" or "Qur'anites" or "Qur'an Alone" are labels that are neither necessary nor are they valid.
We are not allowed to break into sects and thus we are forbidden from labeling ourselves in such a manner. I am a Muslim. In English, I am a Submitter.
I follow the Qur'an as well as the Truth from past revelations. I am an adherent to the Religion of Abraham and a slave to God.
Let those who find the Qur'an not enough for them accuse us of being cultists. It makes me smile.

When people ask me what I am, I give the answer "peacemaker, truth seeker". Simple and straight to the point.
When we talk to others it's best to use clear language that nobody disagrees on. Everyone knows "2+2=4" but if you say for instance "Muslim" then there is separation and preconceptions are involved. Likewise if you say "quranist", then you'll be asked "what is a quranist" and so many questions will follow. At the end of it, all you are trying to convey is that you are a seeker of peace, truth and surrender to the creator.

Quran identifies the persons who were guided by Jesus as the "people of the gospel" in Al Quran 547. So can it be wrong if persons who are guided by the Quran being called in a similar manner just as they may be known as submitter to God , peace maker or truth seeker ?

I think the issue isn't the label itself but that people then go on to say "Quranists do this" and "Quranists do that". "People of the quran" would be the appropriate term here and there are a lot of those.
