Qurbani,---that is 'No' slaughter of animals is mentioned.

there are various ayat ,Qurban = near associate or companion.
= Righteous deeds or work,whereby one seeks nearness,unto God,or to advance himself in the favour of God.

If anybody knows where this word is anything to do with slaughtering the poor animals that is in the quran - let us know.I don't believe there is any such thing - but it is carried on with around the world-the practice of slaughtering for and to god.

In hebrew korban is the burnt offerings at the temple. Looks like the same word.

I thought Qurban means "bringing close". The acts that brings someone close to God such as charity, rituals etc. I do believe that the Koran is talking here about animal slaughtering as a way to celebrate God's providence to humans. Usual these types of rituals and rites have feasts, prayers and feeding the poor.

Then it also makes sense to honor the animals first before the slaughtering (including how they're being fed), as it would help in the "bringing close". Better nourishment. They're here for service. They're also here for love. The more love they're given the more love (i.e. healthier meat/cells) they can give.
