Can you show me a verse or verses in The Qur'an that talks about SEXUALITY/GENDER or MARRIAGE/NIKAAHH regarding The HEREAFTER/AL'AAKHIRAH?
What I meant by the above question is, according to The Qur?an in The Hereafter our physiological/biological structure is going to be quite different from this Earthly one.
In this Earthly life, because of the natural law of ?ENTROPY? which causes the whole material world to age and eventually die out, we need to reproduce, because all living things die according to their life span. Sexuality is an evolutionary phenomenon necessary in serving the needs of Earthly living creatures, not to become extinct as species.
According to The Qur?an, in The Hereafter we will be eternal and will not die at all, so there isn?t going to be any need for reproduction, so there isn?t going to be any need for SEXUAL activity, so there isn?t going to be any need for MARRIAGE/NIKAAHH.
And I personally believe that there isn?t going to be any sexuality, be either ?MALE? or ?FEMALE?.
I am not saying that, the Hereafter is going to be an immaterial realm. What I?m trying to say is that, in the Hereafter our physiological/biological build is going to be different from this very present phase of our existence.
In The Qur?an God Almighty, repeatedly and very frequently, Puts most emphasis on the reality of the Hereafter by vividly describing the Paradise with all kinds of good Earthly like provisions, made readily available for the enjoyment of the believers.
On the other hand, Hell is also described with the most painful Earthly experience, i.e., burning in fire.
According to The Qur?an the Hereafter is the extension of this very present Universe. It is going to evolve out of this very present world. Coming of the Hereafter is not a philosophical opinion. It is a fact. It is an inevitable future event. So it is certainly a real/physical and awesome event.
All I believe is that the governing Natural/PHYSICAL laws of the Hereafter is going to be completely different from the physical laws of this present Universe, and I?m not saying that just out of whim. We read in The Qur?an that in the Hereafter there is no more death, water doesn?t get polluted, and the taste of milk does not change, and so forth.

My personal opinion on the progressive muslim translations is that sometimes they appear to me as being very forced and dishonest in the sense of being afraid of having anything stand out as being incompatible with western ideology.
I could not possibly understand how difficult it must be for you to deal with things that to you might appear as sexually opressive considering your past experiences. However to me the whole context just states of having attractive companions, which is nice. I dont think ive ever gotten the notion of anything unjust anywhere in the quran regarding this particular issue. I believe this somewhat tesifies to how strongly our own interpretations are influenced by our own state of mind and experiences and so in turn our understanding.
I have of course had issues with other verses that to me seemed difficult to grasp and to this day i still cant give a proper (honest) explanation for. But the fact remains that reading the Quran affects me like no other book ever can and allways and allways grants me peace of mind and speaks the truth.
It's just a suggestion that, maybe you should try pondering on this and what the book really means to you. Dont rush to understand everything. There are just so many factors involved.Trust God and ask HIM of the guidance. Easier said than done i know ), especially when ones soul is burdened. But really. If i ever were to give my two cents on anything )

Grapes seem to have been taken as someone else seems to have thought this
4- A man can have wives and maidens. A woman can have only one husband. The maidens for the man will be of equal age and are never touched or seen by any man or jinn.
This is the description of would-be-wife and not something "extra".

Man/woman has always wanted to get more and more of the Bounties of Allah given to them in this earthly life.
But here, in this earthly life, they have been forbidden to use up more than their necessity.And one who keeps himself/herself within that limitation, and gives out what is more than his/her basic needs, he/she would be given in abundance in The Hereafter, whatever is desired, and even more than that.

This is an interesting topic, and this post might start taking the topic a little off-course.
At a gathering of more fundamentalist-minded Muslims, this topic of bounty in Paradise was brought up. The speaker mentioned the wine and the women that would be available to the righteous upon arrival. My initial question was why these activities are considered to be so sinful in the NOW, yet they will be the reward for the Believers in Paradise.
My initial insight was that maybe this behavior is acceptable in Paradise because our physical realm is inherently corrupt. It's not so much the act of zena (spelling?) and boozing that is bad, but the sheer corruption (and by that, our illusory separation from God) that makes it unhealthy. As might be expected, I couldn't get a satisfactory answer as to why the same activities are sinful on Earth, yet a reward in Paradise.

1335 The example of the Paradise which the righteous are promised, is that rivers flow beneath it, and its provisions are continuous as is its shade. Such is the abode of those who were righteous, while the abode of the rejecters is the Fire.
4715 Is the example of the Paradise; that the righteous have been promised with rivers of pure water, and rivers of milk whose taste does not change, and rivers of wine that are delicious for the drinkers, and rivers of strained honey, and for them in it are all kinds of fruits, and a forgiveness from their Lord; like that of those who abide in the Fire, and are given to drink boiling water that cuts-up their intestines?
Paradise will have neither grapes nor full breasted women, ISA. We are given the ~example~ of Paradise only in terms that we can understand. AQ states "example" so that we know that the information is not literal. Paradise is a "good" place to be and hell is a "bad" place to be is the gist of the matter. The specifics are not for our knowledge, except as ALLAH allows.
May ALLAH see fit to guide all seekers.

They taste not the death therein, save the first death. And He hath saved them from the doom of hell.
The above verse informs us that, in the Hereafter/AL?AAKHIRAH, and after the Resurrection/QIYAAMAH, we are not going to die anymore, i.e. we will be eternal. In that case, there is no need for reproduction. In that case, there is no need for SEXUAL ACTIVITY/INTERCOURSE. The need for sexual activity/intercourse during the life of this world is just for the species of the LIVING/animal kingdom not to become EXTINCT. The whole issue of SEXUALITY and the reason for its existence is that the living souls, humans included, ALL die according to the life span of their species. According to the evolution, which is the PROCESS of creation, SEXUALITY is the sole vehicle for continuation of life here on Earth.
CONCLUSION There is not going to be any need for SEXUAL ACTIVITY in the Hereafter/AL?AAKHIRA. Companionship? Yes. SEXUALITY and SEXUAL ACTIVITY/INTERCOURSE? NO!

Its because of this that it is so easy to corrupt into being something truly dirty, the mere contrast of what it can become compared to what it ACTUALLY is.
It is a wonderful expression of love and true intimacy, a lovely gift from God to us. People usually dont have sex with the intention of reproduction. A lot of times though the intentions truly are far away from being pure. -

You are completely right. "Sex is not a bad dirty thing." As the matter of fact SEX on this planet of ours, i.e. the Earth, is an absolute NECESSITY. It is an EVOLUTIONARY MUST. Just like the food that prevents the INDIVIDUAL from hunger, starvation, and eventually DEATH, SEXUAL ACTIVITY among the male and female members of the LIVING, humans included, prevents the SPECIES from DIEING OUT/EXTINCTION.
Now, the question is, do we PHYSIOLOGICALLY still need the SEXUALITY and SEXUAL ACTIVITY/INTERCOURSE in the Hereafter/AL'AAKHIRA, while being eternal, LIVING FOREVER, i.e. not becoming EXTINCT?
And yes, people usually do not have sex for reproduction. It is like hunger for food, one can call it LUST. Struggle for survival is a better term for it, but it is a subconsciously driven phenomenon. It is what you put it as "a lovely gift from God." It is an evolutionary physiological built-in factor for survival of the LIVING. HUNGER for INDIVIDUAL soul, humans included, and SEXUAL DRIVE/LUST for survival as SPECIES.

Im sorry Khalil, but that is a horrible way of looking at it. Things of such beatiful nature are so much more than their separate individual partial functions or the sum of them. It would be like defining our feelings and personalities and eventually our very souls as functions of a chemical balance of seratonin, tryptizol, haldol and whatnot...
