How did you first come to learn about Quranism ( for a lack of a better word) ? After accepting Islam as Sunni began to question the Hadith and the Sunna and that contradicted the Koran. I searched online and found the true Muslims who worship GOD ALONE.
And at what age? 46
Do you personaly know fellow Quranist or are you alone with your view in your social network? Alone. Sadly, in Colombia there are Muslims who are Sunnis.
Do you primarily reject Hadith on the basis of authority or authenticity? Both

I see..I just saw your post in the thread that you are American by birth D, anyway I hope you see the real face of them behind the mask. )
What I've seen so far is they are mainly hypocritical, and just care about money (sadly). Amongst the women there is waaaay too much gossip. I've haven't had anything to do with them for several years.

Salam everybody.
I just wanted to say thanks to everybody who has contributed to this thread and let them know that i've finished my exam paper and turned it in to my professor.
This questions here was just a small part of my assignment but it was intresting to see the background of the users here. I hope that some of you also found it intresting to see where your fellow believers come from and how they got to find the god alone way of life. My assignment is unfortunately in danish so i don't think anybody would have much use of me putting it up here. Thanks again and I'm diffently gonna stick around.. Peace..

Yes, into a Sunni family. Mileage varies among members when it comes to blind-following. In order from greatest to least blind-follower second oldest brother, mother, and I believe oldest brother and father are tied. I myself am not even Sunni or a blind-follower (someone who comes to accept a religion or ideology without first thinking for him/herself, especially due to peer/family pressure and/or the "lol the majority of people are practicing it so it must be true/closest to being true!" logic. The Quran even opposes said logic).
So far have my AA in General Studies. Working on a Bachelor's in Information Systems.
Born in Maryland, USA.
It's better known as "Quran Alone". The term is even in the Quran itself, "Al-Qur'an Wahdahu". Too bad no one will find anything regarding Sunnism or Shiism in the Quran though. In fact the only "sunna" (literally way of life in Arabic) prescribed in it is that of God's, which the Quran says it details, as well as prophets followed, but, it can be called Quranism as well.
19 (HURR DURR HURR) no seriously p
Yeah you see, it's kind of hard to answer that question because what with Sunnism dominating the joint, no one really expresses their Quranist views in public if they are Quranists, so for all I know there are Quranists that I've seen before. I'm not totally sure of any though IRL. Online, well Quranists are pretty much the only religious people I communicate with. Any other kind of muslim makes me suffer brain cell damage.
Funny that that's the last question. I originally came to this section to make an on-topic comment on any topic and at the end posting the link to this Free Minds topic I made a while ago today to show people. It actually addresses why no logical person would ever trust in the Sunni or Shiite collections of books after the Quran http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9602549.0

How did you first come to learn about Quranism ( for a lack of a better word) ? I learned about Rashad Khalifa's Submission in August 2009 and officially left that group, becoming a Quranist in August 2010.
And at what age? 25
Do you personaly know fellow Quranist or are you alone with your view in your social network? I am alone in my local community but have many Quranist friends thanks to the Facebook groups.
Do you primarily reject Hadith on the basis of authority or authenticity? Authority. God gave a message to mankind through Muhammad. That message was contained entirely in the Quran and Muhammad had no right to teach anything other than it.

Parents background ( if different from nationality) Prefer not to say it.
Born as a Muslim? ( in a muslim family) I have been raised in a Sunni Muslim family. Prayed like a Sunni, fasted like a Sunni, believed and acted like a Sunni until Allah (subhannallah) opened my eyes to see His Perfect Light and said the right Shahadah to myself, which was ?I bear witness that there is no god except Allah.?
Level of education College.
Are you from a city or from the country? City.
How did you first come to learn about Quranism ( for a lack of a better word) ? With all due respect, I wouldn?t use the word ?Quranism?. I call myself a Submitter (Muslim). It all happened by the will of Allah and it all happened in unexpectedly way to be honest (which I am very grateful of that). I made a forum on another website months ago regarding whether music was forbidden or not but to my ignorant I believed music was totally haram until this brother posted the verse of 6 from Surah 31. Since, I can read Arabic well and can understand few words, I realised that verse said ?Lahwal Hadith? and that?s when I began to realise those who transferred the Arabic into English weren?t being honest. I asked myself many questions of why the ?hadith? contradicts the Qur?an mostly. I then began my journey to re-search about the so called ?hadith? and re-read the Quran all over again (by paying attention to the Arabic parts this time) and came to conclusion that Allah only wants us to follow His Perfect Hadith and nothing else but the Quran.
And at what age? 25
Do you personaly know fellow Quranist or are you alone with your view in your social network? Alone, sadly. I still do not have many believers who follow the Qur?an only on the internet unfortunately. Just know about 3 lol. And I tend to get very lonely most of the times and cry a few times if I am being honest here but I have Allah with me wherever I go to though. What is better than having the Creator on my side? Nothing! D
Do you primarily reject Hadith on the basis of authority or authenticity? Both! As Allah said in His book ?Nothing shall abrogate Allah?s words.?
Thank you for your time..
You?re welcome and best wishes with your exam. God willing you will do well.
Peace!

How did you first come to learn about Quranism ( for a lack of a better word)? I always wondered about the rules within Sunni Islam and I didn't agree with the majority of them (e.g. stoning adulterers, killing gays, killing apostates). Although I questioned my faith, in the end, I would say that there was knowledge I didn't posses and God knows something that I do not. At the age of 15, I wanted to read an english translation of the Quran so I picked up a copy of Yusuf Ali's translation (because it was popular) and once I got half way through, I was surprised to notice that none of the Sunni rules were mentioned inside. I got to know that these rules are located within Hadith and after studying Hadith, I started finding it hard to believe in them and was relieved to find that there were others that had similar thoughts to me on the net.
And at what age? 17
