Thoughts on Bani Quraiza?

Peace,
Do you guys think this event really happened or was it concocted by the Persians also? If it did happen, was it justified? I can;t see how Muhammad would allow women and children to be put into bondage when Islam was trying to free slaves. If that's not true, are some parts (such as the slaughter of all able men) true?

There are no reference whatsoever regarding Bani Qurayza on the Quran.
The story first appear on the 'sirah' which was written by Ibn Ishaq around 100 years after the death of Muhammad, Ibn Ishaq wrote the 'sirah' (biography) as commanded by the Abassid ruler and perhaps also under 'tight censorship and supervision' of his master, the abassid ruler. The abbasid ruler need to ensure that what he wrote doesn't in any ways violate their political agenda yet it should support it.
The story on the 'ill fate of Bani Qurayza' is very suspicious..
It bears many resemblance to the story of 'Masada defense'..
http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masada
Where all the jews are told to die by either suicide or enslavement by the Romans. If there were a massacre at either Khaybar or Medina there should be an archeological finding of mass grave of human bones there.. in which so far nobody has found none... In Masada, for example, they did find bones.. although it's hard to decide whether it's the bones of the roman soldier or the jews.
The story also highlight the 'heroic' role of Ali which was coming from the same clan/tribe/family of the Abbasid ruler. If it did happened as it was written, I would say it's not justified. Putting women and children into slavery and mass massacre of men and surrendered soldiers is notoriously an act of barbarism.

Peace Jafar,
That was my question. Does such an event appear in any Jewish sources? I find it funny that Jews and Atheists claim that Islam in the hadith is biased (such as the constitution between Jews and Muhammad) yet when it comes to the Bani Quraiza they automatically believe it. How hypocritical. If it sounds good or peaceful, they doubt it. If it makes Islam/Muhammad look bad, they flock to it, even if from the same source.

Nope.. no such event appeared in any Jewish sources..
The only event which bears many resemblance to the 'massacre of Bani Qurayza' was the 'defense of Masada'.
Perhaps that story inspired Ibn Ishaq to recreate the same story on different time and place..Yet again.. I wouldn't blame it to the jews and atheists in this case.. as the sirah itself was written by an Arab during the reign of an Arab king (Abbasid dynasty) and it is widely regarded as 'truthful' by mainstream sunnis / shiite community.
The chant of "Khaybar khaybar ya Yahud, Jayshu Muhammad saya'ud" (Remember Khaybar You Jews! Muhammad's troops shall return!) is so popular among them.. right?
The muhammad hater will use that because it support their objective, it's normal and understandable.
As the jews hater will also use that because it support their objective.. (let's kill all the Jews! Muhammad did that once!!)As matter of fact; I thanked them on exposing the possibility of 'historical fraud' within the sirah itself...
Everyone has their own role to play in this world... no matter how 'insane' that is.. but it's a mechanism of 'check and balance' in this world.I even suspect that the stories itself was fabricated by the Abbasid to justify some of their wrong doings..
"Hey muhammad also did that... then there's no fault in us for doing the same thing"...Salam / Peace
