What do you think about the hadither Zakir Naik?

Greetings and Peace, all group
Opinions are like genetalia; good to have but not necessarily good to display.
I enjoyed the link.
Earlier in their spiritual journey, many have believed in extra-Quranic materials. ISA, Zakir Naik will be guided to a greater truth in his lifetime.
Everyone will eventually be Judged. The Judgement is so important, what can the value of a fallible opinion be? Moreover, we should observe AQ 4912.
4912 O you who believe, you shall avoid much suspicion, for some suspicion is sinful. And do not spy on one another, nor shall you backbite. Would any of you enjoy eating the flesh of his dead brother? You certainly would hate this. You shall observe GOD. GOD is Redeemer, Merciful.
If there isn't anything pleasant to say--think very carefully before saying it. There is a test to help people think before they talk--the so-called Socrates test of three.

Oh my God you abdul hadi are totally lost. We are debating a public figure and his teachings regarding Islam on a public forum openly - thats called an open debate and not backbiting.
First learn what backbiting means and then come back. Moreover if you dont have anything useful to say then please keep yourself out of our debate and dont waste our time with your silly posts. You must accept that we live in a world where we discuss everything - and if you dont like it then stay away.
May God guide you. -
Peace,
He was essential in helping my comparative religion studies and for me learning many cross-references between the Bible and the Quran, but I did come to realize that he is quite lost himself and does avoid many points cleverly.
I've watched hours of his Q&A's in the past, and I find that he gets really easy questions too. He once challenged a Christian to follow the Bible and eat/do something, then drink poison and it shouldn't kill them if they believe in the Bible. I wish I could have been in the audience to offer him the same deal as Bukhari hadith has a very similar thing in it.
And yes he believes in circumcision and that Jesus is alive in heaven after all of these years and will come back to fight some cyclops monster. At least the last time I heard him he did.
May Allah guide us all.

Salam,
In the beginning, this guy helped me alot. Then I found Ahmed Deedat, and noticed that all the lectures of Ahmed Deedat are now used by these evangelists against Christians (often word for word, even copying examples that Deedat gave from experience). I liked Zakir aslong as he was promoting the Qur'an.
He lost me when my Qur'an studies advanced. Like death to apostates and the "ROPE of ALLAH" thing really made me doubt him. One thing I noticed about these evangelists is that when they are debating a christian, they debate using the Qur'an and sometime manage to impress christian audience and convert them. Soon after the person converts, they inject the "Sunnah according to hadith". Just as if they were using the Qur'an to sell its ayaats in order to convert some people and discarding it as soon as they convert. What never made any sense to me is the converts who understood that the Gospels are the hadiths attributed to Jesus and hence unreliable , does not understand that the hadiths of Bukhari/Muslim are nothing better.
Anyways, Zakir naik, as a person is much more tolerable than his followers. May Allah guide Zakir Naik to the straight path.

Any sunni scholar must be some short. I`ve seen him and I find him debatable.
What really bothers me about sunnism is that they pray 5 times with repetitions. They are so focused on prayer, like an athlete on sports, that they forget God may move their hands and feet, when approached. What is the point of prayer, when you override it`s purpose? Indeed, what is the point of "Islam", if you cannot surrender?

@WhereIsTheTruth I'm all for open debate, ~especially~ when it is useful. To backbite is to talk poorly about someone--whether in public or private. Do you agree with this definition? If not, then please post the definition as you understand it. Slander and gossip are discussed elsewhere in AQ (42015, 411212, 41565, 241613, 601222) and (68113) respectively.
If you had "read between the lines", you may have noticed that my lack of expressed opinion speaks volumes. Although I have an opinion, it is generally not positive and thus not expressed.
I treasure your opinions, especially of me, with all of the value that your opinions deserve. I mean that!
Perhaps GOD uses Zakir Naik like the NOI...some people are ultimately guided to Islam through them by Divine design.
Regardless of opinion of Zakir Naik, there is no guarantee that any one of us is one whit better or worse than he is. Quranic proof
4911 O you who believe, let not any people ridicule other people, for they may be better than they. Nor shall any women ridicule other women, for they may be better than they. Nor shall you mock one another, or call each other names; miserable indeed is the name of wickedness after attaining faith. And anyone who does not repent, then these are the transgressors.
May ALLAH see fit to guide all seekers.

Abdul-hadi Seems like you are a very strong supprter of zakir naik and want to deprive people from refuting him. It is you who is backbiting people who want to expose Zakir Naik and Unfurtunately for you he is not immune to critics. . We have the right to refute and expose Stalin, Hitler, gadafi, pope, shafi, hanbali or even zakir naik. That's called refutation and everyone who mislead other people should be exposed in order to save people from them. You reminds me of how the catholic church made the people silent about the pope in the middle ages by claiming that everyone who said anything against him was a sinner.
Yes no one is better than another and guess what , you are not better than Hitler also ! So I hope you never say anything negative about Hitler because then you would be 'Backbiting' him according to your own logic. I will ignore your posts from now since I don't accept dictator mentality like yours. -

Greeting and Salaam brother AH and all,
I agree with the point above you made, but what I believe is this is not backbiting because it is open to all, even to Zakir Naik.
I believe that we are not saying bad about him, but we are sharing our experience.
Let me tell you, I myself personally visited his office in my place with few of my friends about 3+ years back. The office was full of books and CDs even scattered on the floor. I met a person who handles his office in here. I wanted to meet Zakir Naik and wanted to discuss with him about AlQuraan and Hadith, but seems that it was not possible in near future.
I decided to talk to that person who is incharge of that office, I told him when Allah said in 1689 that AlKitaab explain everything, so we should take a try searching everything, every ritual that we perform in AlKitaab as this is the Book of Allah and it cannot be wrong.
As soon as I finish my talk, he suddenly said to me what do you want to search for in AlQuraan, AlQuraan does not contain 99.99% things, all details are in hadith.
Allah my expectations about him was in vein and I was shocked when I heard about 99.99%, that mean to me that what is the use of reading AlQuraan and following it just for .01%?
I asked Allah for help, got up from there without talking anything after that and I left from there. And I was feeling very back for few days after visiting his office.
May Allah guide us all to His true path pr

------------------------- Student of AllahI agree with you. Actually these Zakir Naik types they (mis)use the Quran in order to convert people to haditherism because Quran is the only thing they can impress people with. Please notice how they in the converting process carefully avoid any mention of hadith. But once the person is impressed by the Quran and converts then they begin to teach him their hadiths and makes him think that Quran and hadiths are identical things in order to make him a true hadither like themselves. In other words, Zakir Naik and company abuse the Quran in order to promote their own Agenda. But the question is, does their effort have some effects? Well some researchs suggest that 75% of the converts to Islam in USA leave Islam within some few years again. I have personally talked to a couple of americans who became muslims but then left Islam again, and they all without exceptions told me that it was the Quran which impressed them but many other things did not made any sense for them just like the importance of using the right hand and the importance of being beard etc. In other words The Quran converts them but the Hadiths makes them leave Islam again.
