Salat Language? Is Arabic sacred?

Thank you MMKhan. I now have something to point out to all the people who pray parroting arabic but have no idea what they're saying. But they most probably will respond "that verse is in reference to being drunk". Any ideas?

Salaam,
You are welcome brother.
That aayat is referring to both, if you notice the word "hatta" means "until" what could be the purpose of using this word.
Btw "sukaara" does not mean "drunk", the word used for intoxication is "khamar" 2219

Mohammed M. KhanWa ssalaam brother.
Thank you.
Indeed, I share the same opinion with you. But unfortunatelly the majority is absolutely opposite to this approach. I am so confused and i feel an obligatory to learn arabic. However, even if i learned it, i know i couldn't feel the meaning as it's my native one...What is the reason for understanding Quran's verses different from us about "arabic language" verses?
May Allah get us to The guided way.

We all generally pray(salat) in arabic language as known. Yes i know, there should be an international shared language but if we pray(salat) alone, is it real necessity to pray in non-native language(arabic)?
And do we have to learn a non-native language(arabic) for communicating with God?
Because, most of muslims prefer to pray in arabic, even if they are not in salat, just normal praying.- You are free to pray in any language that you choose..
- If a group pray together they are free to pray in any language that they agreed upon (and all of them understand)
- You don't have to learn arabic for communicating with God, God understand all languages. moreover He already knew the content of your prayer even before you say it.
- It's useless activities to communicating with someone (or something) with language that you don't understand.. you'll be like Parrot.. saying things which you don't understand..
- Arabic language, tongue or culture is not sacred at all..

Peace be upon you,
Languages are only signs/symbols to express realities. No matter what language one says "dont smoke cigarettes", the only important thing is that you DON'T SMOKE CIGARETTES! o)
It is the realities that we need to get to and stop getting caught up in the symbols that REPRESENT the realities. This is the only way the wicked can use these teachings for their corrupt means. No matter what language you use to describe sex, one only KNOWS sex from actual experience.
Barely anyone I know speaks arabic, what help would I give them to by talking in Arabic?

Salaam bro,
If you want to learn Arabic Language I will surely encourage to do so, it will help you a lot to understand AlQuraan properly. As it is said that AlQuraan is sent in Arabic Language you must have to learn that language to understand it properly.
AlQuraan aayaats are set on patterns also, just basic Arabic grammar is enough to understand AlQuraan and you have look at the patterns closely , those patterns will guide you to understand AlQuraan correctly. And you may also need to link up the aayaats with other aayaats to understand the correct explanation of that aayat.
I suggest you to learn Arabic for yourself not for others, once you learn others will agree with your point of views because now you know Arabic Language
May Allah guide us all to His true path pr

I think we need to put this 'language thingy' in proper context.
- If you want to (better) learn the Quran, then better learn arabic language.
- If you want to (better) learn the Tanakh, then better learn hebrew language.
- If you want to (better) learn the Tao Te Ching, then better learn (ancient) chinese language.
However it's not a "MUST", as God can guide you Himself through His own mean and channel if you ask for it, whatever language that you speak and understand

Mohammed M. KhanThats true but in today's world we have access to various translations and commentaries. A person should pray the way he finds comfortable. I pray in classical Arabic because thats what I am used to. Many prophets prayed in languages other than Arabic. As long as you have an idea of what you are saying then I say its OK.
Just my two cents.

Perhaps answer the simple question, what makes belong in 201 ?
20 1 9 5
Why not zha or any letters or even simpler in reverse 20159 / 19 = 1061?
20 1 5 9
Using 28 different letters (29 with hamza) is countless multiples injecting letters in one verse!
(29 factorial) / 19 = 4.65355894 ? 10^29
Peace and welcome.
I have not been in this forum lately and seems that i have to say my last good bye when this my 1969th post and next one would be 1970 posts in 197 pages as my profile shows. )
19 and seven have been my most discussed topics and my name is 97 too )
I see that you have missed very important point. Nobody has put those initial in Quran and that is authored by God Alone.
Then you should understand interlock and its function in numerical pattern and textual numerical patterns too.
Certainly I would be prompt to transfer my information if you need any assistance and you doing right thing for not accepting the claims unless you verify it yourself 1736
I would like to continoues this subject with you in FB as may moderators not comfortable with such discussion in this topic.
See you in FB.

PS please do not rush yourself to judgement , Miracle is truth but understanding and witnessing it need clear heart from any idolized belief
