    Hello respected friends

One question I get from the sunnites is, that if we reject all the hadith-historians(ibn kathir, tabari, Bukhari etc.) then we can not understand the historial context of the Quran for instance, in Surah Al Massad God mentions Abu Lahab but how can we know who Abu Lahab was or what crime he had made since God promised him Hell? And secondly how do we know what happened in Surah Al Feel since God punished those people, and who was those people?

Can Someone come with an answer. Thanks.

They often claim such details are necessary, when in fact, they are not. Ask them to first prove that these details are necessary - you will get silence.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.
