First of all, to Emil sorry about the brackets around your name, couldn't gess it's your real name because in forums most use nicknames or pseudonimus.

Second, you say that your words come firstly from the Quran, if so, please do quote Sura and Aya number.Thanx.

Third, I think The Reading (Quran) is for all mankind, and it is NOT about the religion. "Deen" is wrongly understood, let alone that most of translations are influenced by the Arab conspiracy and primitive traditions. So, there is no "compulsion" in making "commintments" to Allah Who is The Reality. Also, there is no need to mention Jews or Christians or Zoroastrians or any sects whatsoever for that reason.

Forth, you cannot be a proof or anything exept proof for yourself, let alone proof of Allah's Message. I am also a European boy born long after The Reading was sent down, but the question is whether we were addressed or not? Maybe we are just trying to talk about things we do not know at all.

Fifth, my advice to you is to try to get a little bit rid of your ego, so you wouldn't be bothered to comapre yourself with first or second Arabs or Muslims, or upset yourself, brackets or without.

    Of course, ALLAH knows best!

I have some difficulty in understanding your message due to your use of English.
What does it mean "Its applepie own pleasure make and interact is this thread." ?
      waste his pleasure?
      and
why do you have to write "peace" and "salam" both at the same time? Aren't they the same meaning? Is it the Arab canon or something? Or you would like to wtrite in trasliterated Arabic?
If need to use more then English, why not German "Frieden", or Russian "mir", or Italian "pace"?

Focus on the Inquirer ie applepie

applepie probably don't have the time and energy to read all the statement given.

Mental Bondage from Aidid Safar is a great read. When I read it just made sense to me. Every religion has a purpose(good or bad) But very few (if any) religions tell you to be evil. It just makes no sense that Merciful God would see humanity in flames. Or the "Holier than thou" folks directly calling people confused when they themselves are students in life who can always turn bad. I know I am a sinning hypocrite nothing. But that ALLAH loves me. Peace

I have the same question as applepie. What does the Koran say about praying? My preferred method is meditation.

On the issue of following your gut, I am a fan of that. As Allah's creation, I think that every sentient being is hardwired with knowledge of how to best interact with the rest of the world. Obviously, humanity has done a good job of ignoring this knowledge, but I am convinced that every sinner (example, people who profit off of crimes against humanity) knows that they will eventually have to deal with the karma that such a lifestyle entails.

Many people say that Islam is not a religion, but a natural way of life. This seems to imply that following Allah's will should not involve any sort of coercion.

Well "the path of light", my view is that although birds, trees and the rest of creation KNOW how to perform salaat and sujood (as it is written in The Reading (Quran), and if we suppose that the humans somehow do not know it naturally, or forgot how to follow the Direct Path (sirata almustaqeena), then, some people suggest that we need the prayer and rituals. I think that mankind is uncertain of that natural and right path because were given THE FREE WILL, which they mostly use to do evil. But I do NOT think that a ritual could be the correction, or mumbling some words in a foreign language while making strange movements around, but instead, the correction would be to make a commitment to follow the Laws of Allah, and to be steadfast in the System of Allah, which is the real salaat for humans.

As far as meditation and hypnosis are concerned, there are also other ways of intoxicating the conscience which are somewhat beneficial but mostly detrimental.

As for the criminals and evildoers, whether they know their doing is bad or not, we should leave them to Allah, He will deal with them.
Certainly there is no coercion, similarly, if every planet follows its own path it will not bump into another planet following its own path, as we all know.

                Peace applepie,

I just wanted to clear something up. I don't think anyone was trying to be "holier than thou" when addressing your confusion. The title seems to indicate that you are confused, and thus, you were responded to with that word in mind. I don't see anyone trying to condescend here.

                May peace be with you.

                  Peace,

In regards to the "following your gut" approach, I don't believe it to be entirely bad as I do believe we are naturally influenced to do good. However, we must know that if we receive the message, and believe it to be divine, we should follow it as best as we can and instead not abandon it for a "gut" approach.

For example, fornication/adultery doesn't (explicitly for the most part) harm anyone, and many choose to follow their gut of being good and yet don't see a problem with these acts as they do not harm anyone. However if we do believe the Quran to be from Allah, and these acts are forbidden, then I don't believe it to be wise to ignore them. Furthermore if the Quran is fully detailed and explains everything, and we believe that, we should have patience and know that eventually we will know the answer.

                  Study, study, pray, pray.

May peace be with you all.

I must say everytime i get in here and read i get more and more confused, so manny diffrent opinions. Individualism at its finest.

At the end of the day you are gonna be judged for your own actions. No blaiming the other guy!!

I wanna know how i should pray according to the Quran. So answer the topic people!! As long as i pray to allah, does it matter if i do it in a ritual form or not?? Meaning the sunni/shia style with a bit of submission twist in it.

If you are already wondering how to be in salat (some call it prayer), and it is obvious you are earnest about it...then you are already in salat. What is salat? It is the observing of the Creator. If you are in that place then, in no time, a link/connection is established. How about being there all the time? Well,, make that your ritual! The awareness of the Greater Power,, and your position to it, where you stand and be contained in His greatness, feels and tastes like nothing else.. That is salat. It is the joy of being.

Forget about the masses! Forget about others, individuals, groups or sects.. The point is You are there alone with your Creator. That is where you want to be, and ought to be.. because there, and only there, you are shielded.
Others as well need to establish their own link, need to find their own way to the Creator.. to hold on to that rope of safety. If we could all hold on to that rope, how then would we be enemies, or even differ in a bad way? Check out this ayah .
You are protected because evil cannot get in there, although he tries. But it is forbidden to him. He would be burnt if he tries to cross the gate, though it won't stop him from *trying and awaiting. So, he would wait for your return, your leaving and abandoning the rope.. but, you know,, you can make him wait forever. It's your choice )

Edited to ad a word *

I agree with you "maxamad", it also starts to happen to me as well, that each time I get here I get more confused. As you say, I also notice individualism at its best here. Bubbling and discussion between petty little human egos.

And as you see, "Eikonoklastes" writes "if we do believe the Quran to be from Allah", and "if the Quran is fully detailed", IF and IF, can also be a problem because nobody knows even that for sure! Dr Rashad Khalifa tried to convince us and show the mathematical miracle of the Quran to all, and that it was the proof that Quran is from God, but they killed him. And now in this forum there are guys who either go beyond, and show even more and more miracles , like ( "3rdMillennium" http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9602033.100), or show that RK was a liar and impostor.

So, if we are not even sure that Quran is from God or infallible, and on top of that it is badly and wrongly translated, let alone absurdly and silly interpreted, then, it seems we are all left alone to wander in darkness, guessing what to make of it, shia or sunni way, two or more rakaa, or mumbling in Arabic this or that Sura while facing the stone house somewhere miles away.

It happened to Jews as well, who created so many sects among them interpreting the right way, not to mention Christians (schism between catholic, protestants and orthodox), Hindus etc, and the newer Bahais et al. Each sect rejoicing in what they have. As I understand Allah is not a deity so there is no worship or ritual prayer for that matter or anything similar to religion. Abraham was a follower of The One Reality, the Objective Now, and I do indicate an interesting book which explains the evolutionary step Abraham or Ibraheem took for mankind http//www.julianjaynes.org/bicameralmind.php .

At this stage, I feel that mankind is already doomed, there is no solution for the problems that humans created at the global scale, and someone or something is laughing out there on us, as we bow or chant or analyze our guts.

Do you not see any hypocrisy in your own writing? Actually it's quite admirable that you have the balls to say this in one post

I agree with you "maxamad", it also starts to happen to me as well, that each time I get here I get more confused. As you say, I also notice individualism at its best here. Bubbling and discussion between petty little human egos.

and then can quite easily criticise Taj with this gem

Have you considered being a priest? whatever

i didn't see anything in Taj's reply that warranted that response.

Further, if you had taken the time to read Eikonoklastes response, he was merely putting forward a series of statements that led to his final conclusion - if we believe this, this and this, then such and such is true. In fact, (once again if you took any time to read the post) then you would have seen that he clarified his remarks

However if we do believe the Quran to be from Allah, and these acts are forbidden, then I don't believe it to be wise to ignore them. Furthermore if the Quran is fully detailed and explains everything, and we believe that, we should have patience and know that eventually we will know the answer.

If you want clear cut precise rules then I'm not sure if you will find them here. Yes there are individual views and interpretations that may contradict each other, but that's a result of open-mindedness and the freedom to discuss whatever it is we believe should be discussed. We are all unique and have differences in spirituality. I believe the Qur'an accounts for this.

I apologise in advance brother if I have got the wrong side of the coin, but I saw a lot of needless sarcasm in your post that I personally thought was unnecessary.

                                Thanks,

                                Ty

As for "Paradox Uncreated"'s post, that the book about the bicameral mind looks like a "conjured trash" to him, I can only kindly ask to ponder and read the book FIRST!

And yes, I do think that Quran came as a final testament and a "clear cut precise rules" as "Tyler Durden" put it, and I don't expect to find them here, but was simply amazed how humans managed to get into more and worse confusion all the time, with deliberate interpretations, wrong translations and with shaitan's help, more and more nonsensical approach to The Reality of Universal Laws of Allah (Which is, or Who is, by the way, not a deity!).

So, I expected to find here, in this forum, a sane and sound approach to freeing our minds and ourselves of all religious and theological magmas and helping ourselves to better understand why Quran was reveled after Torah and Jesus, and, was it for Arabs only and in Arabic only (as it states "in clear Arabic&quot, or was it meant for the entire humanity?
If so, how comes that The Supreme Will cannot express Itself clearly?

I sugest to you all to visit and examine this site

                                    http//www.aididsafar.com/

and especially to read THAT translation of the Quran Sura 2. Thank you

@OPF, do you seriously think that learning Arabic language is an obligation and if you do you're gonna understand things better than a native arab? Chances are very slim

To be a muslim/mumin, no. Truth is not exclusively arabic.

However if a person is more guided than a native Arab I do believe such a person will understand things better than them for sure. After all, see 997. In the modern information age I don't think it's anywhere near as important however if one wishes to have a crystal clear perspective of quran one must be sure what the book truly is saying.

OPF calla me confused. How observant. I am not enjoying any cloudy mirror. "Comfortable warm blanky shielding me from the fire of ALLAH'S wrath" That and jigsaw puzzles. Ok analogy genius I picture ALLAH as most forgiving full of love and you love to talk wrath and punishment. I do not knowingly conceal the truth because I am searching for the truth. I do not think learning arabic is essential. Why would a merciful GOD want people to study another language to get a true meaning of a sacred text. Looks like you are trying to label me as a pusher of falsehood. Politely judging me and calling me a kafir like a hadither. Remember sparky, I also can take ayats out of context and make you look bad. PEACE

The last 500 "you're all confused" threads in this forum were all started by hadithist trolls who come here to "Convert people back to the Beloved Prophet". Picture ALLAH as most forgiving and loving all you wish, He is harsh in punishment too (52). People like to gloss over that part of ALLAH, I wonder why?

Why would a merciful God want people to study altogether? Have you considered that? Instead of questioning He who is unquestionable and calling people confused, why don't you question yourself?

"Looks like you are trying to label me as a pusher of falsehood. Politely judging me and calling me a kafir like a hadither."

Let me explain. The truth is one truth. If you reject any part of it knowingly you are a rejector of truth. That is what a "kafir" is. It does not mean you are necessarily going to Hell, but it 100% most definitely means you have taken one step on that path. With regards to true islam you are always part kafir, part mumin/muslim for as long as your knowledge of yourself does not totally encompass your actions. That is how satan stirs up suffering in our lives despite us being "Muslim". Not a single person is exempt from the questions that ALLAH poses in his book as much of a believer they may think themselves to be.

A scientist cannot believe in the sun and deny the moon, he is no scientist. A truth seeker cannot take one half of the truth and say "fuck the rest, it's too confusing". I am free to judge when I know of certain truths. I don't tend to judge people on matters I know nothing about. This quality of truth acceptor/rejector applies to all people, not just you. ALLAH will judge us all in the end.

                                        Do not confused
Please try to understand different meaning of salat
1 when word salat used with time( salat fajar or salat asar)it's means reading&understading Quran
                                        Which is 1hr morning(salat fajar) and 1hr evening(salat ashar)
2 when word salat used with zakat or just only salat,it's means Islamic government or "Deen"
3 some other salatmeaning also used in Quran but above two means are very basic and impotent ,
Those people who don't like Islam just changed above two meanings of salat into 5 time Namaaz ,
Now keep these two point in your mind and start reading Quran , inshallah you will find salat in
                                        Quran.
