The Syro-Aramaic Reading of the Koran
-
Peace
Who is Christoph Luxenberg (unidentified German 'scholar') and why can't I find an english translation of his German book!
His argument that Syro-Aramaic is the original language of the Quran is plausible, to say the least.
It also fits with Layth's theory in 'Where was Muhammad'.
Muhammad was in Nabatean Petra (Syria); the predominant language of 7th century Arabia was what we today call Syro-Aramaic; the present-day Arabic language also has its origins in Syro-Aramaic. Is it possible that the Quran was transcribed to the Arabic script after Muhammad? If the Focal Point can be shifted can't the Quran also be transcribed?
The ancient texts of the Quran are unavailable on the internet. Can anyone help me find photographs of some of the ancient Quranic pages?

http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9602163.0One note about some old Quran manuscripts is that the letter "nun" in final form, is written exactly like the Hebrew final Nun. Also the Lam sometimes is written like the Hebrew Lamed (Both instances taken from the Golden Koran
here is the Golden Koran
