    Hi Everyone,

    So here is the highlights of a Jewish story on why G-d created life.

    Allah was alone and wanted a companion.
    Allah created the heavens and the earth and said hello heavens and earth.... and no reply.
    Allah created the separated light from dark and said hello light and hello dark... and no reply.
    Allah created the oceans and the sky and said hello oceans and sky... still no reply.
    Allah created all the plants on the earth and said hello plants... and no reply
    Allah created all the animals on the earth and said hello animals... and yet no reply.
    Allah created man and woman and said hello man and woman... and Adam answered "Here I am"

    This is not scripture but it is a story that is told when questions like this arise.

    Hope it helps.

    Peace Salam Shalom

        Salam,

        You brought up a similar question with a different touch. The question was previously asked by some angels

        And your Lord said to the angels "I am placing a successor on the earth." They said "Will You place in it he who would make corruption in it, and spill blood; while we praise by Your glory, and exalt to You?" He said "I know what you do not know."

        This verse helps me understand a bit more about your question. This is the model that I have in my head right now

        1. We are all just plain animals
        2. Among the animals, we have evolved to the complexity of becoming the most superior.
        3. Even though we are animals, some of these animals will be muslim animal, demonstrating further loyality towards their lord and God would reward them.
        4. The rest are just animals. They may have evolved, but only to become another breed of monkey.

        There could be plenty of reasons why we were made, we could be the by product of this universe, and God could have given us this opportunity to excel and demonstrate to Him that we are indeed people worth making a backup copy before He rolls up the universe. The rest of the creations that we see around us would go to God's shredder machine followed by the fireplace where He burns unnecessary worthless documents.

        "The One who has created death and life, that He may test you, which of you will do better works? He is the Noble, the Forgiving."

        Peace be on you

        I don't understand. Allah wouldn't need to make a "backup copy" since he is all knowing and outside of our perception. As for 672, this is the problem, why would Allah want to test us when we are Allah's creation? He already knows what we capable of.

          This is a question that has been bothering me for some time. Why would Allah create us if he knew what would happen to us and whether we would end up in heaven/hell?

          Then again, I know there are many questions that the human mind cannot perceive. What does the Quran have to say about this?

          To understand this, is simple, it is to understand what allah is, or who he really is, so as long as we cannot perceive him, as he said so in the quran, we cannot answer or understand to some level

          it is not physical nor does it beliong to the law of physics, so we can grasp it , we can only feel it or think about it
          lemme put it this way , it is not part of the law of physics , well, to understand the law of physics , imagine, you cannot get physics without law, but the law is there , just like the law of nature, you cannot get nature without the law, yet the law is there
          ALLAH = THE LAW , that is why none is like unto him, and we canot understand the LAW , ALL SCIENCE that exist beyong infinity , the law of al this infinite science is THE LAW, ALLAH, we grasp science, but not it's law

          I don't know, this subject isn't spirituel, it is just logic, there is no spirituel world as they make us understand , for spirit = Expressions

          well, read this

            I personally think to worship Allah but Allah knows best.

            5156 And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.

                That being said, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. It has been hinted at by some of the members of this forum that I don't believe bad behavior has bad consequences. This is not true.

                    Salam,

                    I used the terms "Backup copy" to put it in a language understandable by any normal person. What I was implying was that he will only give a damn about the one's that are the best. I am a conscious being. I demand a successful trial before someone throws me to hell. I need the rule sets to be announced to me so that I can prove in the court that indeed, I am not "just another monkey". And to be fair with "just another monkey"s, they must be given the opportunity to live freely and show why they are just another monkey. Why God even gives a damn, only God can answer that. The question is designed to be answered by God alone.

                    Oh by the way, my perception is that the universe was not created for us. We are just a part of it which is concious enough for God to bother to communicate to.

                    Peace

                      ALLAH = Supreme observer
                      ALLAH = Total innocence
                      ALLAH = Surest purity
                      ALLAH = Clear light of the void, clear light of waking reality, clear darkness of sleeping night

                      Why can ALLAH not be questioned? Any question you can ask of ALLAH is always directed towards his creation, for ALLAH is not one that can be judged. There must be a minimum of one being and a maximum of one being that is free to judge all they please and that being is ALLAH, the supreme subduer of all, omniscient.

                        And if that's the definition of Allah, one can easily conclude that Allah is automatically beyond judgment anyway. Another reason for living is for a given individual to do his/her best to let these qualities flow from the Source through their physical frame. I have found that the Buddhists' advice to "kill the ego" can be a good way to strive to exhibit these qualities (and fyi, I am in no way suggesting that I have reached a stage of perfection/enlightenment/salaam).

                        I hope this helps. Maybe it won't.

                          Peace all,
                          I enjoyed reading all the posts in this topic. Indeed none can fully understand the reason beyond our creation; however, the Quran gives us some clues...Here is another one

                          11118 And if your Lord had wished, He could have made all the people one nation, but they still would have continued to disagree.

                          11118

                          11119 Except whom your Lord has mercy upon; and for that He has created them. And the word of your Lord came true "I will fill Hell with the Jinn and the people together!"

                          11119

                          The bolded word translates as follow And That Is Why I Created Them (the humans).

                          This verse tells us that the reason (or one of the reasons) Allah created us is to choose from among the humans the ones who, by following their free-will, chose to submit to their one and only lord.

                          Peace

                              People throw around threats of eternal hellfire to cloak their own misdeeds.

                              God provides threat of eternal hellfire that we may fear and cease our misdeeds.

                                http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2_VVAmprxU

                                Lyrics

                                Crucify me!
                                And nail my hands to a wooden cross.
                                There is nothing above, there's nothing below.
                                Heaven and hell lives in all of us.
                                And I've been cast astray.

                                I am an ocean. I am the sea.
                                There is a world inside of me.

                                No set of lungs could salvage me.

                                Only a shipwreck, only a ghost.
                                Merely a graveyard of your former self.
                                We just watched the waves crash over.
                                And I've been cast astray.

                                There is a hell, believe me I've seen it, there is a heaven, lets keep it a secret

                                There is a hell, believe me I've seen it. There is a heaven, lets keep it a secret.

                                If we make it through the night, if I make it out alive.
                                Lord have mercy and pray for the dead.
                                You say that you can save me, don't hope to ever find me.

                                  ALLAH = Supreme observer
                                  ALLAH = Total innocence
                                  ALLAH = Surest purity

                                  Hi
                                  it is just a concept of the word allah
                                  Allah to me is a word that simply means the LAW , and no more nor less
                                  the Laww that created us , means Allah vrated us , etcc... I cannot translate the word Allah to God , or the God, I don't have to believe in God, but I do trust the Law , the law of nature, the Law in the Quran, the LAw of car traffic etc00.. it is the meaning of Allah
                                  I trust Allah, I trust the Law, But I don't have to Believe in God , any God, the purpose of us living and Follong 'Allah' the Law , is in this world, so there is no point in believing in God at all, but trusting and following the law, and making a 100% trust, The Law of Nature, 'Sunnata Allahi' gave it to us through the quran

                                  ALLAH = Supreme observer (ofcourse, every atom from you belongs to nature, and was made abd fonctions by the Law )

                                    Good point. That explains perhaps why the word 'Allah' is only used in some contexts, why other words as 'rabb'' and ''al-rahman'' etc. are used in other contexts.

                                      This is a question that has been bothering me for some time. Why would Allah create us if he knew what would happen to us and whether we would end up in heaven/hell?

                                      Then again, I know there are many questions that the human mind cannot perceive. What does the Quran have to say about this?

                                      HE was so bored and couldn't commit suicide because he was God. So due to the boredom he decided to play video games and the characters are called lifeforms.
