Ignoring them might not be advantageous for the QA. This might be a good opportunity for the people of Sweden to know that not every person that reads the Quran wants to kill you if you draw a picture of Muhammad. It might even make people kinda inquisitive about the "Quran Alone"/ "God Alone" doctrine.

The artist is merely trolling the "Muslim" community. The more they react, it's like they are owning it as truth, thus making them look all the more stupid.
It's sad that this is the representation of "Islam" to the masses, but I can't help but laugh at the whole situation. I personally don't feel the need to respond, I feel the efforts are best spent facilitating guidance to any who is receiving instead. Just IMO.

I was thinking to show the greater mass there is a small group of muslims who do not give a hoot. On the contrary, we would fight censorship. Since the article would not only be my opinion but QA I am therefore asking here before I write. What is the opinion of AQ?

Most muslims feel the same way we do, they are saying so what? Are their voices heard? No, because one individual muslim is not published, they only publish official statements such as the country of Iran or the official (sunni) muslim board of Sweden. All official statements have been too schocked to even comprehend the idea that anyone could be so mean to portray prophet Muhammed this way, now we will go out and burn down IKEA as revenge...........Nobody has said that if Lars Vilks is out to disrupt the order he is barking up the wrong tree.
The artist in question is not a troll, he is not a black sheep of the community and he is definately not trying to hurt people. We have a lot to thank artists like Lars Vilks for challenging us, for taking the step that we are too scared to take because it is taboo. Art like this is never supposed to be beautiful, it is there to make us think and challenge our own moral values. We are supposed to hate him because he shatters what we think is right and wrong.
A time ago there was an exhibition in the modern art museum where an artist had filled a kiddie pool with red water (blood). In this he placed a little boat where the sail had a picture of the first palestine female suicide bomber.

But it is wrong that they are just trying to "troll" or disrupt. These artists are trying to push the morality, dogma and other in-bred values we have as humans to the limit.
A silent response is not a good tactic because it is not the true one. How many people here think this "piece of art" does anything for you? Do you care that this artist has portayed two prophets in a negative way? Actually by saying you should stay quiet is already breaking the silence.

I agree. However I'm still not to sure what to make of the artist's work. It doesn't really upset me since a 'piece of art' can never be the true depiction of a prophet. It's just art to me. But then again is it wise to create pieces of art that will inadvertently cause people to target you or harm others because of it ? Is that type of 'art' really worth making?

We are among those who hold Quran in high regards..
We also value the freedom of belief, the freedom of thought and the freedom of opinion as it is written in the Quran 2256 as "La Ikraha Fi Al Dien Qad Tabayyana Al-Rushdu Mina Al-Ghoyi", there are no compulsion in Judgement/Opinion/Attitude.. (Dien) as truth stands out clear from error.
We respect the right of Mr.. (What's his name again?? Lars something??) to state his own opinion regarding any matter, including the Quran, although we might disagree with him.Something along those line.. ))

I am not really into this kind of art either. But what I do know is this artform is an expression or protest against something the artist feels is wrong with society. Anna Odell wanted to highlight that mentally sick people are automatically treated as victims in society, Lars Vilks wanted to highlight people are willing to kill just for the cause of retribution.
Thank you Kevin, Jafar, Youssef and the rest. I think I have enough opinion from us to write an article that could be presentable. I will post it here before I send it.
