First of all I never believed in Jinn but my thought changed when the results were starting to be seen. I live in NY; I basically grow up here, with this American culture. The problem started about two years ago, my dad works and he is trying to get his own business but whenever he tries to finish the deal something bad happiness that causes the deal to be off. For example last time he tried to buy a store, the dealer started making stupid excuse. And like two weeks ago he tried again and it was a fail. My dad contacted two people in his home town and they are sure it?s some evil sprite or something.
I need to know if its really a spirit that someone send upon us due to envy or whats causing it this issue.

Although those 'gaseous / fluid based sentient being' might exist, but it's unfair to them if you blame them as the cause for your father misfortune..
The myth of 'evil eye' / 'envy' has also been discussed many times here.. feel free to search..While my advice to your father is to don't give up, keep the positive attitude.. and don't waste his time and effort on looking into this 'bad spirit, evil eye, envy' mythology... He should evaluate why he lost the deal, learn from it and amend his mistakes / miscalculation / mis-planning / mis-analysis whatever.. It might go against his own ego to be able to realize that there were mistakes on his side.. but that's usually the case..
What he's been through is common among many other millions of people around the world....

I think the first thing to remember is what the Koran says that everything good comes from God and the bad comes from yourself. So, as someone already said, your father should analyse his actions and see what he could/should do differently next time. He should also pray, of course, and seek refuge from Satan the rejected. Know that Jinn do exist, but put your energies into worshipping God, being steadfast and righteous, thus keeping you out of Satan's way and closer to God.

It has been proven (using Qu'ran alone) that Jinns are no more than Human beings made of a blazing fire instead of black mud as the descents of Adam. Free flowing spirits is a complete invention with no Quranic bases. No, it is not the 'Jinns' causing your father's misfortune, it is his own actions (or perhaps they are tests from Allah) ; even if Jinns were spirits that can cause despair, do remember that none can happen if Allah does not let it be, thus, it is not correct to blame the Jinns.
