There's no such thing as a religion of God.

Yup.. God doesn't have any religion... and 'deen' is not religion...

Many of the sectarian twist the meaning of 319
      Inna Al-Deena Inda Allahi Islam..

      From
Verily the (proper) attitude/judgement/opinion towards/to/at The God is Submit/Submission...

      Into
Verily the only acceptable Religion in the sight of God is Islam..

In order to make people join their religion / sect.... and to show the 'superiority' of their religion/sect from other religions/sects. Which thus get further expanded into; only those who are the member of our religion/sect shall entitled to heaven while others shall go to hell..

319 contains additional remarks that "Submitting to God as the proper attitude/judgement/opinion" is inline with the teachings of the previous books.

"Those who were given the Scripture did not differ (about it)" (319)

And the sectarian Sunnis/Shiites tried to find 'the shahada', 'the call to Mecca', 'the circumambulation' (tawaf), 'imam mahdi', 'the detailed body movements and what to recite on ritualized praying' and other mandatory sunni/shiites dogmatic teachings within the previous books and they couldn't find any!!

To solve that; they just declare that the previous books has been altered.. and as thus 'obsolete'..

They're not aware that they're looking for the wrong things!!

If only they knew... that the essence of the teachings is

      "Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name, your kingdom come,
Let Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us of our sins, as we also have forgiven those who sins against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."
      Matthew 69-13

There are signs for those who understand...

      Salam / Peace

        Salam,

Of course! Its just "thinking" almost like "just believing" but God says that doesn't get us into Heaven either. God decides who goes to heaven and hell based on His descriptions of them in the Quran. I don't find any description of people who have simple attitude/judgement/opinion going to heaven. The ones who make it to Heaven, God describes them to be doing things like upholding commandments and doing works but of course maybe God is misleading us when we are only supposed to think and have opinions.

To you is your religion, to me is what God describes people doing and gives examples of in the Quran. Peace.

          Salam,

Another question, is it your contention that those who practice what is shown by example in the Quran, those that actually bow and prostrate and devote their prayers to God alone and uphold His commandments regarding our conduct and perform ablution and fasting and charity and various righteous works are all misguided sectarian fools whom God rejects and condemns to Hell?

You should not post that question to me... as I'm not the one who shall decide people fate..

Another differences between sectarians and non-sectarians are non-sectarian never judge other people.. demonized them or condemn them to hell...

But if you want my opinion.. then my opinion will be, perhaps yes and perhaps no... yet I really hope that it is yes..

May all beings found peace of mind and happiness..
            Om Shanti Shanti Om..

I would like to add.. the opposite of 'living without religion'..

Feel free to join multiple religions... be a sunnis, shiites, catholics, orthodox, coptics, jews, buddhist, taoist whatever at the same time.. pray in mosque at friday, church at sunday, synagogue at saturday, meditate at buddhist temple on any other day. Because religion doesn't really matter.. it's your act and deed that matter..

              Salam / peace

                Salam,

Our acts and deeds are our religion and what acts and deeds should be done are described in the Quran. Thats my religion. Everyone works according to their beliefs and God will judge among us on the Day of Judgment.

                Peace Brother

                    Salam,

Whatever God says you should do is not unnecessary nor stupid, unless of God course you don't understand their purpose or you don't believe in God anyways.

Can Humans live without Religion ?

Of course live.. But religions can't live without humans since all of religions are human fabricated fractions (including The Islam of course). True religion is based on o human nature (3030).
