The name of the last prophet?
-
Dear Edip,
You cannot escape inherent contradictions of your thoughts, despite efforts. Your messenger said in writing that he believes in the name Muhammad while you disagree and say it is Muhammed. You, indirectly, have included him and thus condemned with those who distorted Qur'aan.
It is realy frustrating to discuss issues with people who have little interest in critical thinking.
Until reacently, I too had no problem with the pronounciation of "MuhammAd." We are responsible for our intentions and for what we know and for what we are given. If Rashad was alive today and he was reminded of this contradiction, I am almost sure that he would correct his error as he did numerous times when he was alive. I worked together with him for one year in Masjid Tucson, every day of the week and I know him much better than you do. Besides, his own revisions of his previous translations are evidence for this fact.
Only bigots and idolworshipers do not learn new things and they do not correct their errors!
-
maHMuD (the praised position) occurs once as the description of the POSITION promised for the prophet 1779. Edip
http//haqeeqat.org.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Arabic%20Text/017.%20Al%20Israa/17.79a.gif
It occurs as revival of the "praised position". Can someone hold a praised position without he being considered worthy of praise? The use of word "position" also denotes location especially in relation to others. Thereby, you admit, say inadvertantly, that he holds a position of praise.

Weldone. You have rather now nakedly exposed the inherent contradictions. If this has been your and that of Rashad Khalifa's practice then how you could call the writing of earlier people as "distortions" who also read the word as Muhammad and NOT Muhammed?

Since you are infatuated with numerology and instead of conjecturing on pronunciation post all occurrences of merciful and tell why you teach/spread corruption remove verses of Qur'an?
4829 Muhammad messenger The God and the ones who with him tough on the disbelievers merciful (plural) among themselves
Why is it that Rashad Khalifa and the code 19 has suddenly become the topic now on this thread. Are people so arrogant and boldface that they can't keep those issues to themselves and critically analyzed what a fellow Brother is proposing. This is not a code 19 or Rashad thread topic people!!!! Stick to the topic! If you want to discuss the code 19 or Rashad Khalifa i suggest you use another thread instead of sidestepping this topic. Act like you have some measure of sobriety and not like wild little children.

Peace,
You seem to have not even noticed what is the point at issue. The point at issue is Edip's observation in his referred article
4.DISTORTING THE READING OF AN ADJECTIVE Those who idolized the last prophet, changed the pronunciation of his name from Muhammed into Muhammad.
He is only being reminded that his messenger Rashad Khalifa should also be "convicted" for this distortion and idolizing since he did the same thing in his writings and translations what are others alleged to have done. That is the reason Rashad Khalifa has come in.
-
So you do not even wish to follow your own messenger Rashad Khalifa? Have you discarded him as being a messenger?
Brother it is rather you that seem to miss the point. When you start making statements like the above you seem like a person who is obsessed with what Rashad Khalifa did. Why can't you and others stick to the topic. Bringing up meaningless topics like these are distractions. If you are in love with Rashad like so many others then there are plenty of other threads that you can debate this topic. Please keep your love interests and ideas to yourself and stick to the topic. This is about the last prophet's name and not Rashad Khalifa. Can't we all just get along group

Just as a reminder
"Tell My servants to Say what is better, as the devil drives a wedge among them. Surely, the devil is man's most ardent enemy" (1753)God commands us to be/act nice (2195) and retaliate evil with good (1322). Also to say in retaliation what is better/nicer (1753 & 2396) so much so that your enemy might become your own friend! (4134)

I agree with brother youseef. We should learn to be kind with one another since we all strive to follow the same creed. We are all brothers and sisters. Yes we may have our differences but that doesn't mean we mustn't treat each other with respect. Sometimes we ( including myself) forget this since it is very hard to fight our egos. Let us crush our egos and find the similarities with one another and stop the bickering. In the end we all believe in the basics which is that we should worship God and God alone and not associate partners with him. Nothing is wrong with debating each other to gain more knowledge but lets us not draw a wedge between one another whilst we still have the basic and MOST IMPORTANT similarities.
Peace,
Kevin

As usual, dogmatic people cannot discuss issues properly. I had discussed numerous times this issue and most likely you have not even read my responses to your accusation as you have not even read this article.
As it seems, you are the one who is infatuated, you are the one afflicted with numberphobia... In that long article, you quoted a sentence containing a few numbers, without even understanding its meaning and its context, and reacted to it like those who are prophetically described in 7449-51,
Sorry... I have no time to deal with bigots.
Peace,
EdipWhat are you talking about that I quoted in what long article?
As usual your modus operandi is run like a coward and a zebra when you have no answers.
I'm not the one with the nineteen bug and what exactly is the point of this pointless thread?

Code 19 is a fragment of something far deeper than we presently understand.
Peace and love -- then why make a baseless comment on things that you are clueless about?
Why don't you help Kevin answer the question posted and the one he avoids in other thread?
Then show us this consistency and pattern; here is second shortest chapter...

The Arabic Word "Hamd" is usable only for Allah, the Exalted and for His Last Messenger, in keeping with its use in the Grand Qur'aan. For Urdu readers

Salaam to all,
Great article Mr. Edip! I for one, found it very informative and couldn't agree more. Don't spoil your mood by what the naysayers say. If the diacritical marks were indeed not present during the early writings of the Holy Quran, then there's certainly no reason why we cannot believe that idol-worshippers have tinkered with the very name of the Prophet. Afterall if they could have made the Prophet cut-out to be an illiterate (which makes him directly oppose Allah almighty's instructions to read and write in Sura 961-4) then what's there to stop them from changing the meaning of his name.It is a sad truth that idol worship has been the bane of mankind. Associating another name with Allah creates division among people and it is this hatred for those "worshipping a different name" from us that Satan plays to lead us into hell. As i write this i hear news about idol worshipping 'so-called-muslims' killing innocent lives during the eve of Ashura.

PeaceYes, stick to the topic. For the purpose please answer this question
If the name of the exalted Messenger of Allah, the Supereme Soverign Sustainer Lord was not Muhammad, as has been hitherto accepted by all including those who thereafter self proclaimed as nabi and messenger, and you believe it was with Kasra, then why is he at the PRAISED POSITION, as has since been pointed out by you.
If he was not praised which is denoted by his name Muhammad, how could his position be PRAISED?

Dear brother Mazhar,
As I indicated above you have problem with proper reasoning. I do not mean to insult your intelligence. To the contrary, I think you are a very smart person and also educated. But, you keep committing elementary level of logical fallacies. Why? Because you let your emotions, your sectarian zeal take control of your mind.
This objection initially appears to be a fair one, but with little scrutiny it falls apart. Here is the problem with this reasoning.
A person might be appointed and raised to a praised position by the frequently praised Lord and that person would still not be a "frequently praised person." The position is the one which is praised, not the person who might be blessed by God to reach such a position, which is going back to God, the Praise-worthy.
If I am given a miraculous sign, I do not become miraculous myself. If one is promised high heaven, he does not become high himself. If one is blessed with abundance, she does not become abundant herself.
In fact, God provides us with the best mathal, the best tafsyr in verse 2658 by using similar words. In verse 2658 we are informed that Pharaoh and his followers lost their "treasures and honorable positions (maqamun karym)" However we know that neither Pharaoh nor his close friends were honorable (karym), but they had honorable position (maqamun karym) in Egypt!
So, please THINK and REFLECT before responding to my articles with knee-jerk reactions.

Dear Edip,
Now please read those Ayat where the logic and stance is explained by Shaitaan for not showing obeisance for Adam , and see where is knee-jerk reactions and whether there is any difference in his and above stance.

Very intresting topic indeed. But dear brother Edip. Why is it so important what the name of the prophet was. I cannot really see why this is so important. Personally, I dont care about Muhammad. He is not important for my belief at all. If God wanted him to be important he would have told us about him in the Quran, but very little information about him is revealed in the Quran. All that focus on Muhammad sounds so sectarian to me, and believe me I really wanna get over my sectarian past.
So perhaps we should forget Muhammad, and try to move on by pondering over quranic verses.
May God bless you for your noble affords. By the way I like your website and articles bravo

What a poor knowledge of Qur'aan. Almost one third of the Qur'aan is about him, the elevated and exalted Messenger of Allah, the Supreme Lord of all that exists.

No one third of the quraan IS NOT about him. The quran is not about some man named muhammad. And would you please excuse me, Mazhar. I was writing to Edip Yuksel and not to you.

Now please read those Ayat where the logic and stance is explained by Shaitaan for not showing obeisance for Adam , and see where is knee-jerk reactions and whether there is any difference in his and above stance. Is this your answer. Your argument was refuted and instead of accepting the truth you write this? As for Shaitaan, he was an idiot; he did not use logic or aql, as some human idiots claim. He opposed God as the followers of fabricated hadiths and worshipers of Muhammed do.
Peace,
