Alright I might have said I am gonna avoid you, but I wanna let go of the past and make a fresh start as there clearly have been a lot of misunderstandings on both ends for us. So peace sister ^_^
Regardless, yeah the traditionalists like to think of us as different which is why they like to call us kaffirs so many times just because we don't follow hadiths. Now they are trying to make us sound foreign too. Next up they will probably just call us demons, dogs, or the branch they most hate (sunnis calling us shia or shias calling us sunnis XD)
I myself am a Persian and i'm a Shia-inclined Quranist. What that would mean is that while I do go only by the Quran, some shia views about certain things in it affect some judgment or rather the idea of Ali being successor of Muhammad. While there are the 12 Imams, I think it is possible God made these truly the successors but hadith wise when I look it up, I only use it to backup a claim to a passage in the Quran and that hadith which isn't talking about something already in the Quran is tossed out as being fabricated such as ones about not being allowed to listen to music e_e but I respect Shias as they at least take the Quran as their main source unlike Sunnis who let their hadiths abrogate the Quran oddly enough.
Because of how Shias view us, I don't tell them about my Quranist views for the sake of peace, and well the Sunnis... I don't even like to talk to them XD
Regardless as for the phobia itself. By just looking at the site, I am shocked at how they make outrageous lies about us. I am pretty sure they likely say that stuff in order to scare other traditionalists who are considering learning more about us to stay far FAR away from here. Which is a really a shame but if the traditionalist does indeed want to the truth God shall guide them here as he did for me when I begged him to understand what truly is what.

Well I am only 22 years old and left sunnism many years ago so naturally my knowledge about them is limited but as I understood there is something called TAKFIR, which means that they are actually allowed to call you or me or any ''quranist'' for KAFIR which would lead him to become a MURDAD if the quranist had a sectarian bacground ( which is the case with you since you have a shia background) AND THAT WOULD ACTUALLY MEAN THAT WE ARE ALL ENTITLED TO CAPITAL PUNISHMENT FROM THE SECTARIANS !!! elektro elektro elektro elektro elektro elektro elektro elektro elektro elektro

Peace. I don't know everyone else's understanding of the Quran, but I don't believe in evolution. I believe in Adam and Eve, just like it says in the Quran. I actually saw fair bit of stuff that doesn't describe me. I mean maybe they did read somewere that some of us believe in evolution. And if someone does interpret the Quran in that way that's fine, everyone has a right to interpret it any way he wishes.
I will pray God willing with people who don't interpret the Quran same as me if I ever get that chance. It's up to God in the end to judge. We can only make sugestions.
But if they are making all that up than that's wrong. Or maybe they think that they are alowed to do that since the hadith says that you can lie in a war. And maybe they think that this is some sort of war, even though it says in the Quran not to start first. Maybe they think that God will love them more if they lie for him. And lying is not something you should never do unless your life was in danger. Or maybe if you were an undecover police.

Antagonism, like anger, is bad for you. It only attracts negative energies.
Say Tell me if it is from the god/the truth; then you disbelieve in it, who is in greater error than he who is in a prolonged opposition?
You get resistance for three reasons
a.) The hadeethist has had many good benefits from the hadeeth
b.) The hadeethist feels that the present system is correct and is not aware of their delusions about the truth
c.) The hadeethist is a hypocrite/unbeliever in disguise and actually wants to divert from islamFor case C you can do nothing but let ALLH punish them with Hell and chastise them from every direction in this life. As for a and b, guide towards the sovereign truth.
Humanity is not many sects, there are only truly 3 groups the foremost, the companions of the right hand, and the rejected ones. Because there is a chain of command, all we must do is make the foremost sheikhs aware that they have been decieved. Many sheikhs are in it for the ego factor but there are assuredly quite a few real ones too.

Phobias arise from ignorance and resistance to change - that's my observation.
Actually, we are a threat to the establishment with our views. People have used hadiths to oppress and control all in the name of God. Any threat or perception of it will lead to accusations. Prophet Muhammad shook up a way of life/thinking and was not received kindly by all and was laughed at, scorned, and plotted against.

My friend Now about the blogging site, it seems that someone has been visiting sites like free mind and qur'aan alone, where they represents people like Rashed Khalifa (self-claimed prophet after Muhammad (pbuh). Now which one is a better source of guidance, people like rashed khalifa and his works or a scholar like Dr naik who's works are notable by everyone believer and well as non-beleiver.
My friend About rashid khalifa thing, go check the people section of that site and thn check their work, you'll find what i have mentioned. However they did a good thing, they didn't put the esteem tittle for them or they used the word inspired, how being a student of Msc and Al-hmadulillah i was taught being political correctness of source (I am not talking about u, about free-mind.org)

Why should this Student of Allah quote free-minds as a judge when it is He who was given the student a book fully detailed ? What do you get when you take out all faith from Islam and replace it with a cold rational materialism? You get a new brand of "Muslim" who calls himself a "Quran Aloner".... Granted not all of them are the same, and many are not as extreme as others, but one thing is certain these are the people who will totally change the Islamic landscape within a century. This much is clear to me.
This might sound like dialectics (its not) but a counterpart to the rightist Taliban has arisen in the extreme secular left. These are the people who will take over the Muslim world (FOX News was wrong, it won't be Osama bin Laden). These "Quran Aloners" are a very small and fragmented minority today, mostly in the middle to upper classes. But they contain all the characteristics that a future mainstream movement needs to have and become the dominant Muslim denomination of the future. And all the work that the radical conservative Muslims are doing is directly contributing to their rise.
Their principles are diverse, but they have a few common beliefs. Almost all of them reject the "5 prayers" scheme. Some only accept 3, some reject the prayer totally, saying it was never meant to be an actual ritual. They also reject the significance of Mecca, and refuse to face it. Some of them believe that everything that takes place in Mecca is pagan idolatry.
These beliefs may sound very far fetched and crazy to the mainstream Muslims today, but it is very clear to me that that these beliefs will become the mainstream views within the Muslim ummah. It happened with Rome, with Christianity, it happened again with the Reformation. And the same will happen in the Muslim world... It is the same pattern with every new religion. If it attracts the middle-to-upper classes at first, you can bet it will keep expanding until it is the dominant force. There are no statistics, but I bet they are adding at least 40% new members per decade, just as the LDS Church. Such a growth, while it seems small at first, is exponential.
I don't really have much in common with mainstream Muslim sects either.. most of the time I am disagreeing with their beliefs... but this group of "Quran Aloners".... this is something completely different. Some of these people can hardly be considered Muslims at all, as some of them don't even believe in the finality of revelation, and feel that the Quran is "incomplete"... In my book, these people are much more dangerous then the Taliban, because their beliefs are much more attractive for the majority. Theirs will be a silent revolution, without weapons, without beheadings... And all the conservative Wahabi Taliban types are only making it easier for them, because it is -Islam- which is being put on the chopping block because of their actions.
... This is inevitable. There is no way to stop this... Many Muslims will convert to their side in the coming decades. Anyone in fact who values a self-negating "rationality" above faith will join their ranks. Maybe another war, or two, is all that is needed for a major shift in ideology to take place.. and when the time comes, these people will be waiting to step up and offer their "solution" a complete reformation of Islam, stripped of all faith... Setting the stage for a slow evaporation and drift towards a total materialistic atheism in the Muslim world....
I say this is inevitable, because this time, unlike the time of the Mutazillites, there are no core battallions left in the Muslim world to hold back this tide of skepticism... Too much faith has eroded over the centuries... There are not going to be any more al-Thalabis or al-Ghazalis, this time... they will win.
