One whole country scared of us.

Hi, Im from Maldives,
2 days ago, All the religious so-called 'scholars' gathered and met on a national level, here, and discussed about the threat faced to this country from "people who doubt the Sunnah of the Prophet".
Being a 100% muslim country, they are trying to force and change the constitution too to accomodate their agenda. Only those who believe the Sunna or belong to 'their sect' will be considered a true citizen of this country, all others "May be forced - taken, for "questioning".
This is not yet passed, but all these scholars have agreed to act/ enforce this in this country. They are publicly calling everyone else "non-muslims" and going on TV and newspapers etc.
All the minority are too scared to say anything.
This country needs serious help. Someone or group needs to act against this.

Interesting and alarming news. Do you have link to any news reports or videos of it ?
I feel sad for them in one way. Their ideology is such that it requires a regime, military might, billions of dollars (often from black gold) and absolute censorship backed by compulsion to sustain its existence. They feel a lot insecure all the time, its not comfortable even by a slight degree. Compare that to us, you shoot me dead, anyone could care less of what becomes of Qur'an alone movement. As long as the Qur'an stays there, there will always be other studnets of Allah throughout the world.

thanks for the link This is the first time I saw human beings from Maldives . hypno I assumed you guys would be like semi-chinese, lime Malaysians or Vietnamese. I knew about your country from childhood, but never saw a human being from there before. I hope God guides these people of your country and us to success in this life and the next.

The same excuse were being used by the Pakistani government..
'to minimize the conflict' between sunnis and ahmadis.. the action being taken was to oppress the ahmadis...This is yet 'protecting the turf' action performed by the (insecure) clerics...
If no one within Maldives dare to oppose this..
Blow this up to the whole world.. make this appear in the international media, report to UN bodies or anything..
