    Greetings and Peace, all group

I'm not sure that what I saw was real and not sure that it was unreal.

I ~postulate~ unreal, but do not know. In my case the room was not especially dark--and I have exceptional night vision in any case.

Where I currently reside, two different people claim to have seen ghosts in the last year.

Google "shadow people" and see what you come up with.

Many people actually are interested in the supernatural and would love to be in your place. Go figure, huh? )

I've never seen anything since, and it has been more than ten years. Don't worry about what you've seen, and count it as a life experience. Definitely don't fixate on it.

    ALLAH knows best.

    peace

Shadow people? I'll look them up.

Yeah this was a life experience and hopefully one of those that happen only once O0 Anyway my friend this morning was asking me, why I didn't talk to him. And I must say the thought crossed my mind as he was standing next to my bed. But seriously what can you possibly say in this situation? What's up demon? How many other people did you freak out tonight?

And do the Catholics believe that demons make appearances in the real world? And why do they appear?

Yes, Catholics have their own rites of exorcism. They believe the "dark" forces come all around you to take you away from God. The closer you get to God the stronger their "attacks". A bunch of stuff, I can tell you in a PM, but not comfortable talking about it here &

The church usually stands by the idea that the person is possessed by the demon and many other "evil" spirits like hate, lust, estruction, suicide, revenge, anger, anxiety, desperation, death, torment, you get the idea. An example from the bible Luke 830 the case of the possessed man in the territory of the Gerasenes "Then Jesus asked him, "What is your name?" He replied, "Legion," because many demons had entered him ".

Padre Pio has some interesting stories as well as demonic attacks on St. Francis of Assisi. If you wanted to read from that perspective. As far as real people with odd/scary stories you might want to look at Fr. Gabriele Amorth. He is a Catholic priest who has performed many exorcists and has written about them.

I have more info from my books and studies if your interested.

                    Shalom Aleikhom,

I hope this does not offend you (as most people believing in supernatural encounters ). I will share some of my experiences in summarized form

                    1. Was sleeping in a mattress (without bed). Woke up, found this girl starring at me with rage filled eyes. The girl was sitting by my legs but on the floor (not on the mattress), and her teeth was locked onto the side of the mattress close to my knee.

                    2. An old man, sitting beside me as I woke up, was patting me on my head.

                    3. A boy standing by the door of my bedroom as I woke up.

Now, i am skeptical of such encounters myself. Because, after suffering for long time, I decided to look into neuroscience and brain activity for answers. Finally, I cracked it. I used to suffer from "sleep paralysis". Then from there, it developed to "lucid dreaming". Lucid dreaming unlocked and explained everything to me. To give you a brief explanation of it, lucid dreaming is a state of dreaming where the logic sector of your brain gets activated and you suddenly realize that "Oh my God.. this is a dream " then people usually wake up.

I found out that I could actually maintain my lucid state. Since that reality is a fiction manufactured by your brain, you can do whatever you like in that state. Ofcourse an outside observer would find you asleep, but just like the film THE MATRIX or INCEPTION, you get to do almost whatever you want. The only challenge is controlling your excitement. You can look up lucid dreaming on the internet. Its not a subjective ghost story kind of thing, its "Scientific".

Anyways, the reason I am telling you about this is to share my "hypothesis" on your experience. Often times, when I wake up from sleep paralysis or lucid state, as I open my eyes, it takes some time for it to adjust to the REAL world. The funny thing is, most times, for like 10 seconds or so, I can still project things onto realitiy, but they fade away as my eyes become fully functional. Think of it this way

You brain processes what you see. When you opened your eyes, it was not fully ready to take signals from the eyes. So, what it does is it takes some signals from eyes and as your brian is not totally concious at that time, your imaginations can form pictures that overlap with the signals from the eyes. Your brain gives you a final false picture, but this does not persist. When your brain gains full conciousness , it can finally turn off the "mental projection" and only display the REAL pictures.

I am talking from first hand experience of thousands of such encounters. And yes, I even experimented with it. I tried altering what I see, it works. However, most times, I try to picture darkness or force me eyes closed. Because I sweat or shake a bit like you did, and that always promotes the generation of EVIL pictures by my imaginations. Sometimes closing the eyes do no good, I can still see everything, my brain sort of gives me a fake picture.

It should make sense to you if you understand that we see in our brains, not in our eyes.

                    Peace

                      Peace,

I personally don't, but that doesn't mean that I think that people that say that they saw "something" are necessarily lying. Student posted some good reasoning behind what could be happening to you. I have experienced lucid dreaming myself and it is pretty fun. You can do whatever you want, basically the whole world is yours. I have also experienced having complete awareness of my surroundings while asleep and with my eyes closed. I have many weird experiences. One thing that I have quite frequently are vibrations that gradually gets stronger and louder. I have no idea what it is but I have become accostumed to it.

The mind is a powerful thing, just look at schizos. Regarding exorcisms, I think that is fake. They used to do exorcisms on people that had other problems that they ascribed to demons. They now apparently have a criterion but I still don't trust it. If these things actually exist, they don't impede my belief in God whatsoever.

                      Peace

The question is, does your mood affect the "kind" of vision you see. So if you are sleeping peacefully, then you see something nice, but if you are sick or disturbed in some way, then you see demon like creatures?

By the way, here in Egypt we have a very famous priest who is famous for his exorcisims. Apparently both Muslims and Christians go to him for help.

                            Shalom Aleikhom,

From my experience, NO. Your mood while going to sleep has nothing to do with the outcome. In case of sleep paralysis, our brain release chemical to paralyze body. This is done for your protection ,since less movements are good when you are not conscious. However, if you wake up when this process is running, you will most definitely encounter THE DEVIL.

What happens is that almost all of your hardwares get deactivated as long as the chemical holds you paralyzed. Eyes, hands, body, legs, head, all "motor" activities get deactivated. Since you are not fully conscious, your brain plays the trick on you, giving you false VIDEO from your hard disk to compensate for this. Since you went into bed a healthy person, the natural reaction is to assume that "SOMETHING" is holding you......there you go...you gave your brain enough reason to stimulate your Amygdala and create fear/anxiety...this is a viscous circle that eventually ends up with you facing the DEVIL. You get so upset due to the 100% realistic feeling produced by your brain that even after knowing what it is...its hard not to be frightened.

The fear thing triggers internally , so my emotional state before I fell asleep never mattered.

But I must tell you, LUCID DREAMING rocks !! The only side effect for me is the sleep paralysis issue.

                            Peace

That's creepy And a little bit intriguing, but mostly creepy I don't like the idea that my brain does all those things to my body while I am trying to sleep. I'm a big dreamer, literally. I dream of deceased family members a lot. One time I dreamed of a dead guy who wanted me to give a message to his mother. These dreams are disturbing, but don't bother me too much. However, these lucid dreams seem too eerie for me. I'm glad you enjoy them though

I really don't know if this is true or not, but I have been told there are good jinns and bad jinns. I guess the bad jinns would be considered demons. The good jinns are not supposed to show themselves to us, but, they are living around us and in our homes all the time. Maybe that was a bad jinn?

                                  Salaam to all sun

I apreciate sister Student post, its a very nice explanation and can be part/connect to what our brother amuslim said

In my inner and humble apreciation & view of the facts i also concluded that When the mood and outside facts of our life are not balanced(emotions, work, family, anyproblem can suit) we are easly affected by some sort of "negativity" or sometimes a "paranoia" of the worldoutside that obviusly takes some control of your instinct and normal conduct,

Of course im not saying sister Yasmine is "crazy", im just wondering if i was in Egypt, be a women, and with all that changes and stuff happening..i surly will be in a great paranoia and probably ill be more easy to be a magnetism to see/feel/ sense some kind of enteties or evil forces around.. so i think its something that depends on day by day problems/struggles/difficults.. but Allah is above all and knows best, so i use AlQuran to keep bad feelings and toughts away, and always put in my mind that everything have its own explanation, and of corse theres no Demons as long as u sincerly not belive them,
I Belive in God but i also belive there?s no space for demons or whatever if you dont give them space to act upon you )

SALAAM and sorry any mistake or if i said something wrong, its just my viewin my skin and in sister Yasmine skin sun group

I do believe true possession is EXTREMELY rare. Most times I agree, it is someone with an mental illness or neuro activity. Lucid dreaming is amazing as student said, it is also a great tool to help inner and physical healing. You can look up Dr. Waggoner, he is like the go to guy in this area and has some very interesting things.

However, I feel somethings are out there that we can't explain, if we knew all the answers ghost stories and demons attacks would not be so documented.

I'll send you some stuff in a PM sis, no problem, but take it with a grain of salt and as different point of view.

                                    Peace

How do you know Sister yasmine is not crazy? I am actually famous for my insanity hehe no just kidding

Look, I don't know what happened, but I doubt that I was dreaming. I've thought about it a lot since it happened and I really think that I saw something. This was no imagination.

It's a bit difficult to explain but for the past few weeks, I felt a bit funny, like something was off with me. I don't know how to explain but it was like something is dirty inside me. Does it make sense? I'm a worrier and an anxious person, I've been through a lot of stress in my life but this was different. I felt like there was some rot in my soul that I couldn't get rid of. I tried to tell myself that it's just the stress of everything but it kept getting worse. Then I saw that figure next to my bed. I don't know if these issues are related or not, but I am just saying.

Guys I had another umm "incident" yesterday. It was again 4 am and I was 100% awake. I heard tapping on my wall and thought that the construction workers in the neighbouring building started work (they begin really early here! the jerkoffs!), but then I realised that the sound was coming from inside the room. So I got up and went to where it was coming from. It was from the wall near the window and sounded very close, not a noise from a far. I stared at the wall for a while and it persisted for a few moments and then stopped. I went back to bed and it started again briefly then stopped. I think I am losing my mind )
