Has anyone read "why I am a Muslim?" by Asma Hasan

Also wondering if any of you came across the book "mohammed Prophet of Doom" by Craig Winn? I came across it in Borders the other day, I can't begin to tell you how ridiculously ignorant it was. I can't beleive someone would actually publish something like that!
Peace,

Dont be fooled. He makes a living out of doing such things.

Peace everone,
I did not read her book, but I visited her website and read an interview she did with beliefnet.com where she simplifed and said she became a Muslim basically because she was born one - which is good, but I think she could have supported her decision to become a Muslim with logical and true teachings of the Quran.

peace to all,
i also read American Muslim........i thought it was a good book........i didn't find anything in it that i'd complain about..........her points regarding women's rights were fine with me........i wouldn't want my wife feeling like a 2nd class citizen within islam or in the masjid........i'd recommend her book

Talk about feeling like a second-class citizen, someone should come to our mosque in the US. My cousin came from Canada during Ramadan and asked my younger brother where do women pray in your mosque and he being only 7 said behind the men next to where the shoes are.
That's pathetic and true. Men enter the mosque from the front door, while women enter from the back door. The men and women both carry their shoes in their hand and put it at the back which is exactly where the women pray. Anyone who comes in late just throws their shoes towards the back and that's like only one feet away from the place where the women are bowing.
As if that wasn't worse enough our "imam" address only to men. He prays and says may God unite all the brothers here and while asking for charity he says, "dear brothers please donate towards the cause of Allah..."
Now that's being treated as a second-class citizen!
