    Peace all,

I just wanted to share one thing which I just a few minutes back discovered for myself. It is Ubuntu, which at the first glance seems very very much like the universal and non-religious approach that humans are encouraged to have as per the Quran. I just read a few paragraphs about it on the website linked to below. The more I understand of the Quran and Allah's design of the worlds, the more distant I feel from religions.

At first I thought this was a linux related post, but then I remember that they based their OS design around this African concept. I'm posting what Nelson Mandela has said on the subject for those who don't know about it

Nelson Mandela explained Ubuntu as follows
A traveller through a country would stop at a village and he didn't have to ask for food or for water. Once he stops, the people give him food, entertain him. That is one aspect of Ubuntu, but it will have various aspects. Ubuntu does not mean that people should not enrich themselves. The question therefore is Are you going to do so in order to enable the community around you to be able to improve?

        pulled from en.wikipedia

Thanks for sharing, i never herd of such an "ideology"
I would think many peoples and groups have their own conducts and views about life etc (2267)

Seems it's main tenants and philosophy is generally "Islamic" yet it's fatal flaw is it is godless and lacks the qualities of Righteousness (God Consciousness) in it's actions.

From quickly browsing the site itself it seems to promote the absence of God replacing Him with "energy sources" and the idolization of one's own perceived will power akin to the idolatrous concepts of The Secret.

The secret? The power of attraction?

whoever wants this fleeting life We readily grant them as much as We please, to whomever it is Our will ; but in the end We consign him to hell; which he will have to endure disgraced and disowned! (171

Well, I don't see it as a system or set of anything. I just see that there are ways of behaving that are exactly what Allah ordains in the quran... so God has sent wisdom all over the world. I don't think there is a fatal flaw of godlessness, since having faith in God or not is something in the heart of each person... and is not something of a system... except empty words or instructions. Islam can also be godless, irrational and materialistic aswell... if the people who call themselves muslims are like that. It depends on the people. It is possible to recognize goodness in anything... if you know what it looks like. God is indeed great, beyond our comprehension.
