So I have been looking up the whole thing around contracts with these relevant verses in mind

"O you who acknowledge, honor your contracts. Made lawful for you are all the animals of the livestock, except what is being recited to you, and what you are not allowed to hunt of the game while you are under restriction. God decrees as He pleases."

"And do not come near the orphan's money, except for that which is best, until he reaches his independence. And fulfill your oath, for the oath brings responsibility." (1734)

So with these in mind, it seems to me that its stating that we must honour all our contracts unless i'm reading it wrong and thus would appreciate someone clearing it up.

Now what i've been thinking about is how some website and such make you have to agree to some agreement they have for certain things. For example on some website I may want to upload a picture that has a copyrighted picture on it as like my profile picture which many people on that site already have, but the agreement comes up before uploading that picture that you must own the rights to the picture first before being allowed to use it.

Everyone on such a site presses accept regardless of what it states and they go finely with such profile picture. Now what I wonder is that if the rules of contracts as stated in those verses applies to this? When I think contract I always imagine two people in front of each other and thus have greeted before talking about it and this is more like a robot that is programmed to show everyone this contract thingy without the original writer of it ever knowing or meeting the person.

Thus I wanna know that if I were to accept it and still upload such a thing as a profile photo if I would be sinning?

Thanks, this has been really bugging me tonight.

Muslims are to follow the Natural Law which has two fundamental laws

      1. Do all you have agreed to do
      2. Do not encroach on other living human beings or their property

Read articles on this site servantofthelight.com if you really care and want to know the Truth

sure its easy to say to do all we agree to, but the situation i've desribed feels silly. There is no human on the other side who said directing to me but rather an automated message there.

        Any more opinions?

Just read the articles on that side already. You'll have a different view on the world if you're smart enough to agree with them. You wouldn't even need my opinions.

Well I read it but that doesn't answer my question as that deals with more direct contracts and not the automated internet ones. We are talking about the dreaded "terms of services" you know the stuff you skip past and instantly without reading that impossible wall of text and press "yes" or "I agree"

Hmn you have a point there on man made but 51 simply said go through with your contracts, so wouldn't this fall under it?

No. Those contracts must be established with the right law, which almost nobody follows nowadays.
The law websites use are relevant to man made laws, which are wrong.

I see,so in this case it has to go in line with Islamic law and since islam doesn't prescibe copyright laws that would make the contract moot?

Like I know Facebook when you sign up makes you agree to its Terms of Service which state that you can't upload any copyrighted material whatsoever even though everyone does. So in this case because they are forbidding the good things that God has allowed us such as sharing pictures, the contract even if though we'd accept it would not be valid from Gods viewpoint?

                    Am I correct here?

Yes I agree with you. There are also different reasons, like the website, or the other person who claims to own the thing wouldn't be in property of that particular thing ( Or that law simply wouldn't exist ) or it would be free if the world was perfect, but reasons you stated are good too.

p.s Allah has no viewpoints. Allah is omniscient

I see so basically becuase the website like Facebook doesn't even own it don't have grounds to forbid such as that as a contract doesn't contain copyright under Gods laws and rather this is directed to manmade law that isn't something.

Okay so one other thing is that what does 51 refer to in regards to contracts then?

It tells to fulfill contracts obviously. That's one of the Natural Law's fundamental rule, " Do all you have agreed to do "
But do people today know how to do contracts? I doubt it.

If you have more questions, read every article on servantofthelight, you'll definitely know. I can't explain for a short time and I can't waste more especially when you're fully capable of reading the site's articles, also I don't know english enough so I don't know which words to use.

Yeah oh and I looked up the meaning of "terms of service" and it seems its called a "Set of rules" and not a contract.

Contract An agreement before engaging in an affair where both benefit from.

Terms of Service Rules that are told to you that you must agree on.

And as we know, rules aren't something we are told to hold uphold.
