Does 17:26 refer to overspending on charity?and how is it the devils trait?

So I have read many posts in regards to 1726-29 which are
(1726) And give the relative his due, and the poor, and the wayfarer; and do not waste excessively.
(1727) Those who waste excessively are brothers to the devils, and the devil was to his Lord a rejecter.
(172 And if you turn away from them to seek a mercy from your Lord which you desire, then say to them a gentle saying.
(1729) And do not make your hand stingy by holding it to your neck, nor shall you lay it fully open so you become in despair and regret.As i've read many posts here, they have stated that "waste excessively" refers to overspending on the people previously mentioned in that verse. Follow that verse it states that those who do it are brothers of the devil.
Now I got 3 questions
1)As I saw the words that make "waste excessively", I saw the two arabic words that made it up were tubadhir which stated that it meant waste/squander and the other was tabdhran which meant wastefully and squandery. Thus comes out to mean either "Waste Squanderly" or "Squanderly Waste". Does Waste Excessively mean the same thing more or less as in Squander = Excessively spending?
- Does "waste excessively" indeed refer only to those people mentioned in 1726? And how is it wasteful to spend to overspend on them?
3)In regards to 1727 now. If it does mean overspending on charity, how does it make one like the brother of the devil? The only thing I can think of is that he has spent so much that he has left nothing for his family and himself who are more important then other people. But not sure.

I don't think giving to charity could ever be considered a 'waste' or 'squandered'
Well this is talking about overdoing it. Not the regular stuff.

I think its talking about squandering money on unnecessary things like shoping, clothes, food and vacations etc. But it depends on the money you have.
Proverbs 2320-21 Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags.
In the house of the wise are stores of choice food and oil, but a foolish man devours all he has. (Proverbs 2120)

- Give it away - which is charity.
- Use it ;
a. wisely
b. In a way that is not right.

The devil doesn't give charity.

Hmm kinda odd to then squish it inbetween a section about charity, but yeah that's what many have interpreted as on the board.
Based on what you said, unnecessary things refer to luxury if you don't have the money for it. Thus spending from your needs on luxury when it should be from excess after you pay some to charity.

But what is not considered "right"? Spending money on causing evil like wars or racist groups and such? Cause that would then fit really well with
""And seek with the provisions bestowed upon you by God the abode of the Hereafter, and do not forget your share in this world, and do good as God has done good to you. And do not seek corruption in the land. God does not like the corruptors."" (2877)
Thus we shouldn't waste our money on corruption and should use to for our needs and some wants and for charity.
Makes sense especially since its the devil that wants corruption. What do you think?

The Koran understands "fasad" differently than how we use it. Fasad can mean corruption in Arabic but the Koran uses it usually for murder and killing. If u look at the verse it talks about regret. Do not do the opposite of stinginess which is excessive givng money away that you end up in regret. Regret usually is a tool the devil uses to bring despair and depression. I think the verse is talking about moderation according to your financial abilities. You need to plan and save for the future and think about the rainy days but you should not pile ur wealth in banks leaving it there and never being used.
Personally I am a bad manager of money and I tend to squander money away because I lack discipline. But I don't squander it on evil stuff but on unnecessary things. I have tasted regret often. Obviously the Koran is talking about extremes however. But between those two the Koran talked about is lots of shades of gray. The dangerous thing is to be too stingy to give to the needy and too wasteful to leave anything for the needy. Both have something in common and thats selfishness.

Makes sense and I was thinking this might be the case rather though I never thought about the idea of regret being what brings you closer to the devil.
So yeah, spend from the excess but never let it cut into the needs, which seems to happen a lot especially with gamblers who go as far as to bet their house O_O which I guess explains why gambling is prohibited.
