Re Allah sent Messengers to All Nations
-
Allah says in the Qura'n
1636 And verily, We have raised in every nation a Messenger, saying, "Serve Allah alone and shun false gods in any form." Then Allah guided some of the people (since they adopted the right approach (48). And error took hold of others (who fell into arrogance or blind following (1829)). Do take lessons from history as you travel in the earth, and see the consequence of the deniers.
This verse comes with an invitation to go around the world and investigate the fate/results of those who went astray. Question

We know the blessed Messenger Muhammad is the Final Nabi
-
Is he then, the final Rasool as well? What is the difference between a Nabi and Rasool
-
Can we find evidence of Messengers in every nation around the world including South America, China, Japan, Africa, etc proclaiming the above?
-
OR, was this verse addressed to an audience of 1400 years ago and "All nations" only meant the ones known to the Arabs (in Arabia and surrounding countries)?

I have always understood that a Prophet brings scripture and a Messenger confirms/warns/preaches with existing Scripture. All Prophets are Messengers but not all Messengers are Prophets.
The Quran itself is a permanent Messenger to all Nations and to whoever it reaches. In today's day and age, it is essentially accessible to anyone in the world who cares to know or investigate it.

What is the difference between President elect and the President

an Ambassador designate and the Ambassador.
Nabi is the state when he is elevated and chosen to act subsequently as the Messenger on reaching strengthen maturity. Easa alahissalam as milk sucking baby did not say that he was the Messenger of Allah towards them, but pronounced that Allah the Exalted has declared him Nabi.
None is the Messenger unless he was first the Nabi. Nabi and Messenger is the same one person; title Messenger is when he is sent to deliver the message to people. They do not introduce themselves as Nabi since the word indicates an exalted stature. Allah the Exalted declares them as exalted and chosen ones by the Arabic word Nabi. -

What is a Prophet?
Many people today think of a prophet as any person who sees the future. While the gift of prophecy certainly includes the ability to see the future, a prophet is far more than just a person with that ability.
A prophet is basically a spokesman for G-d, a person chosen by G-d to speak to people on G-d's behalf and convey a message or teaching. Prophets were role models of holiness, scholarship and closeness to G-d. They set the standards for the entire community.
The Hebrew word for a prophet, navi (Nun-Beit-Yod-Alef) comes from the term niv sefatayim meaning "fruit of the lips," which emphasizes the prophet's role as a speaker.
The Talmud teaches that there were hundreds of thousands of prophets twice as many as the number of people who left Egypt, which was 600,000. But most of the prophets conveyed messages that were intended solely for their own generation and were not reported in scripture. Scripture identifies only 55 prophets of Israel.
A prophet is not necessarily a man. Scripture records the stories of seven female prophets, listed below, and the Talmud reports that Sarah's prophetic ability was superior to Abraham's.
A prophet is not necessarily a Jew. The Talmud reports that there were prophets among the gentiles (most notably Balaam, whose story is told in Numbers 22), although they were not as elevated as the prophets of Israel (as the story of Balaam demonstrates

The Qur'an nowhere makes distinction between NABI and RASOOL. The same noble personality was NABI by way of receiving the Divine Message, and RASOOL as he conveyed the Message to people. Ref 3180-182, 367, 7158, 1755 & 2253, 2136, 383, 492-3, 2246-248, 2253, 337 & 4163-165 and many more. Especially Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiyani in the initial phase and Dr Rashad Khalifa tried to pave the road to claim being Rasool by making the false distinction.
NABI and RASOOL are specific, branded terms of the Qur'an, so Muhammad (S) was the Final Nabi and Rasool.

If the Qur'an is meant for all nations so the prophets are for all nations. And so it is. Wherever there are memory or records, everywhere peoples have mention of prophets, be whatever denomination, of holy persons with the mission of bringing to them the good news of the divinity. It is not only the Qur'an that attests to it, but each people, though in many cases the message may have been twisted, or degraded, or diluted or corrupted, just as it happened with the biblical lineage and as it happens with muslims and with christians. Why should God be partial to any people when he says he is not?

Do you think that Buddha and Krishna would qualify as prophets not sent to Israel or the Christians and Muslims? I have seen Zakir Naik suggesting so.
