The Koran on the matter of the Sabbath

Qur'an is the commentary on the Bible! It builds on it!!!
God's Ten Commandments do not change! And the Fourth is keep the Shabbat and keep it holy! It was imposed before the giving of the Torah and it is for all humanity!

Yes God Submitter, I believe that's correct, that the fourth commandment says to honor the Sabbath. Many Christians do not do this, ironically while claiming that Christianity is based on the Ten Commandments. Now I cannot speak for Muslims, or what the Koran might say.
I do know that I keep the sabbath as a choice, because it's something my people have done in his honor, and I want to honor him. That's just me.

The core Commandments are given at the begining of the second chapter of the Qur'an
23Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them,
24 And who believe in what has been revealed to you, , and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain .
Sabbath in the Qur'an is mentioned in connection with the Jewish religion, not as a Commandment for muslims.

Oh I'm not saying its for Muslims to keep. No, Muslims obviously accept the Koran as a more recent revelation, and isn't based on the 10 Commands like Judaism and Christianity claim to be.
I wonder though if a Jew that becomes a Muslim should still keep the sabbath if they feel it is right?

Mayb a mixture of both like this hmm
I am not sure what you mean by 'keeping the Sabbath'. if you mean taking a day off work then many Middle Eastern countries give a holiday on Fridays, but shops are still open for business after Jummah prayers. Maybe for them office work does not fall under 'seeking the bounty of Allah'. However other countries like Turkey and Pakistan take Sunday as official holiday and many shops remain open for business.
629 O you who have believed, when is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu'ah , then proceed to the remembrance of Allah and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew
6210 And when the prayer has been concluded, disperse within the land and seek from the bounty of Allah , and remember Allah often that you may succeed.

Farida ok so you don't reckon that the Friday thing might not be a changing of the sabbath then, much like Muhammad changed the prayer direction from Jerusalem to Mecca?
I hate to suggest such a thing, but this is for the sake of the discussion. I am asking you from an Islamic perspective.

Actually, there should be no "mixing of commandments"
I myself have tried to keep Torah commandments like keeping the sabbath, wearing cloths made of 1 type of material, abstaining from more food types, maybe thinking that it would be "extra credit".... However, that would not be the case
