The Word: it converts Abstract Realm into Physical Realm
-
Let's make a distinction between words, concepts and thoughts. Thoughts do not exist immaterially by any means, they are patterns of nerve connections, they are as physical as it gets. Just as the space inside of you is the same space outside of you, a thought inside of you is the same as a thought outside of you (e.g. these very thoughts written here).
Concepts on the other hand are immaterial and we know this through mathematics - we don't create them but rather we discover them. Words are kind of halfway between concepts and thoughts and as said, bridge the gap between abstract and physical. But words in themselves are physical because they too represent patterns of nerve connections.
Regardless, the purpose of the universe's creation and the abstract realm are really intimately connected. And likewise the defining feature of humanity or human knowledge is language, that which bridges abstract and tangible we fit to the universe like a glove to a hand.

"Thought" is an idea, plan, conception, or opinion produced by mental activity. It is obviously produced by analysing, associating-baking different bits of information recieved and stored in a special unknown "brain language" capable of retrieval in the form of words of cognizable language. Once we arrive at a "thought" phrased by the words of a language, the brain stores it in "his own language" with specific tagging and links whereby we can retrieve it-recall it for conveying orally or in writing to someone else, or executing it in which case it will be relayed to nerves in the neck area.
.So "thought" is not but a tangible-physical reality. It is the "thought" that eventually makes or breaks a man.
-
One can also see thoughts as whatever is in your mind. Daydreaming for example would be thoughts. Thoughts would be a vibration of energy that emanates from you, causing an effect like any other force. This is the way you can affect your circumstances through thinking.
Sounds unfamiliar?

Your brain waves are confined to your head. They don't emanate any "force" that can cause an effect in the natural word. It would be like saying the beating of your heart, which is no more than electrical impulses more "forceful" than the brains, could somehow cause and effect in the natural world.
If you think hard about something and it should happen, we didn't have anything to do with it. It's God alone who decides and causes effects to come about.

Yes sir... what you are saying is partly true... but perhaps not the whole truth. Actually I'm not talking about brain waves here... they are, as you say, a phenomenon of the brain... actually I'm not talking about the brain in the first place... but the mind. Anyhow, let's just leave it like this. Allah is merciful and great... these other things are just details. And yes, Allah alone causes effects to occur... just like our typing here. Allah's ways are richer, more amazing and abundant that we can comprehend. Things that "science" haven't "proven" or have "consensus" on isn't necessarily fake. A great deal of the scientific community laughs at e.g. acupuncture.... Earth was once flat... etc etc.. let's keep an open mind. All doors, and their keys, belong to Allah.
Peace to you all group

Always brother. group
No worries and no hurt feelings. We are just discussing and exchanging views, understandings and ideas. If I disagree with you or have a different view, please don't take it personally because I don't mean it like that at all. handshake

Actually they do emanate a force but you would need extremely sensitive apparatus to measure it. Same thing with your hearbeat.
To put this debate into perspective, the genetic code for a human body fits into around 1.5GB of space and the imprint that gives a person individuality can be squeezed into 20MB or less. So in 1.5GB of words, you have a person. But to translate those words into a living body with a personality requires something beyond words; the mind.

Oh I know that brainwaves can be measured, brother. What I was trying to say is that they are so small a "force" that to think ( ) they can influence or effect the outside world of Nature is wrong. I only compared it with the heart because the "forces" at work in the heart, ie electrical impulses are much stronger, and more easily measured than the brains yet we don't ever make the argument that the heart can influence or effect the outside world of Nature either.

I'm sure every process in the body can be measured in a physical science way... brain through EEG, heart through ECG, nerves and the rest of the electrical body of ours through different means. But, what I was referring to is something that main stream science most probably would dismiss as non-sense... that's why you guys would not be familiar with what I'm referring to. I'm doing some experiments and I'll report back again on this this autumn.
Anyway, I don't think the electric impulses of the heart or brain would affect the physical environment around us... apart from perhaps auras could be felt to some extent between individuals.
Cheers all!ps. by the way.. the Chinese say the mind sleeps in the heart, which is the home of the mind. ;D
