For thanking the Creator, for preventing a crisis, for healing sickness and diseases, for eliminating a problem, a Muslim prostrates, makes Sujood, to Allah (swt). A Muslim thanks Allah (swt) daily and regularly. A Muslim's methods of thanks and appreciations could be the minimum, saying verbally "Subhana Rabbil ah'lah (Praise be to Allah)," (swt) or the maximum, i.e. of prostrating to Allah. During prostration, a person glorifies Allah, exalts Him, praises Him, and surrenders to Him.
Prostration is to Allah (swt) alone. No prostration is to be performed in front of any king, royal highness, president, or any other leader. Those individuals should also make sujood to Allah alone, and they should not allow anyone to bow to them or to prostrate to them. There are many medical benefits of prostration. As Muslims, one must pray five times a day. During the process of prayer, a Muslim must first stand erect; then bow forward; then prostrate on the floor where the whole body is bent; and then sit down on the floor. All of these movements help the Muslims to have the least amount of arthritic problems on their bodies.
Another interesting feature of the salat (prayer) is that the course of assuming three main positions (qiyam, rukuh, and sajdah) one makes the physical shapes of the Arabic Alif, Dal, and Mim. These spell the word Adam, the name of the first created human and the first prophet (a.s.).
People are exposed daily to many different problems. They may also be exposed to many electrostatic charges from the atmosphere. These charges are affect the central nervous systems (CNS) supersaturating it. One has to rid themselves of these extra charges, otherwise, they will have headaches, neck aches, muscle spasms, etc. The best way to get rid of these extra electrostatic charges is by dissipating them and discharging them from the body. In as much as an electrical appliance is in need of grounding (or "earthing" by the use of an electric cord, a human being has to "earth" him/herself to the ground as well. By putting, his/her forehead on the ground, because the thinking capacity of the brain is in the forelobe and not the topmost portion of the brain, one dissipates the extra electrostatic charges from the brain and the central nervous system to the ground. Therefore, one will receive piece of mind and soul. By doing prayer five times a day, with each prayer having several prostrations in it, a person will undoubtedly feel more peace, happiness, and relaxation. This type of approach does not cost money and does not have any side effects. It is very natural. This is the best method for allowing a person to continue to live in peace, harmony, obedience, and happiness for the rest of his/her life.
Above all, a Muslim who performs prostration on the floor as a sign of obedience will attain tremendous rewards and blessings from our Creator, Allah Almighty.

Scholar All right, so you don't really know if it's true or not. Now let's try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my friend something good?
The Man No, on the contrary...
Scholar So, you want to tell me something bad about him, but you're not certain it's true. You may still pass the test though, because there's one filter left
Scholar continued The filter of Usefulness.
Is what you want to tell me about my friend going to be useful to me?The man No, not really.
Scholar Well, if what you want to tell me is neither true nor good nor even useful, why tell it to me at all?
Surah 49 Al-Hujurat Ayah 12
Translation
O you who believe! Avoid much suspicions, indeed some suspicions are sins. And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting) . And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is the One Who accepts repentance, Most Merciful. -
When Abraham implored God in 1440, he did not ask for wealth or health; the gift he implored for was "Please God, make me one who observes the contact prayers (Salat)." The religious duties instituted by God are in fact a great gift from Him. They constitute the nourishment required for the growth and development of our Souls. Without such nourishment, we cannot survive the immense energy associated with God's physical presence on the Day of Judgment. Belief in God does not by itself guarantee our redemption; we must also nourish our souls (6158, 1090-92). Additionally, 1599 states that observing the religious duties instituted by God is our means of attaining certainty "Worship your Lord in order to attain certainty."

Does The Divine Truth Ever Worship?Whether you know that your reality is the manifestation of the Divine Being or not, your mere existence in reality is His creation.
But even with this awareness and understanding, no change ever takes place within your structure.
The only thing is that, with this understanding, you only comprehend and hence perceive the reality of your existence. Nothing ever changes within your structure at the material world at all!
Your life still continues with this knowledge, even though you are living in this dimension, so you can fulfil the purpose of your existence and experience the conditions of this present dimension at the same time.
Since your physical body is the product of the Divine Truth and the fact that it is still in need of eating, drinking and sleeping, then feeling this need does not simply reveal that your physical body constitutes an obstacle for the Divine Truth. What is more, feeling this need gives rise to this longing.
Similarly, certain activities carried out under the name of worship, such as prayers, fasting and Islamic meditation, does not conflict in any way with the creation of your structure, which comes into existence by the power of the Almighty Being.
Furthermore, all these religious practices are designed purely for the purpose of providing the brain as well as the spiritual body made of frequencies, which we name the Ruh, with the energy and the power it needs in the afterlife realm, because this will be absolutely necessary for that environment.
Even though the physical body continues its survival with the energy that it receives from the Divine Truth, it is still in need of eating and drinking and this of course does not mean that the physical body does not belong to the Divine Truth. Similarly, the spiritual body often referred to as the light body also needs the energy that these religious practices known as prayer, fasting and meditation will eventually provide in the afterlife realm.
It is because of this absolute necessity that the religious practices known as worship are commanded.
Let us imagine for a moment that you are fully aware of the fact that your existence depends on His existence, but even though this is the case, your physical needs are always in effect.
In the same way, your spiritual body made up of frequencies as well as your brain would need this divine energy in the life hereafter as well because of the conditions that are in force in that environment.
However, this energy can only be produced by the power of the brain and it is obtained while here in this world, living in the physical body.
If the energy that is essential in the future cannot be obtained here in this world, then it is impossible to acquire it in the life hereafter as well. This is because the brain in this dimension has a structure that is made up of frequencies; therefore, it is the spiritual body in that environment. Thus, the brain that is within the spiritual body can no longer produce energy.
Because they will be unable to produce this energy, each of the inhabitants of that environment would then say
'I wish we could go back to the world again and perform all the good deeds which we had neglected while we were there!'
Here, the prime purpose of returning to the world is of course to obtain the opportunities that were once available while in the world. In other words, it is about returning to the biological brain which helped the individual to produce the required wave frequencies while living in the world. However, this is absolutely impossible!
For this reason, even though there are so many people who have very successfully managed to comprehend the reality of this matter, they are destined for hell, because they did not perform the necessary tasks and therefore became occupants of hell.
It is for this reason the Sufi author Abdul Karim al-Jili writes in his book entitled 'The Perfect Man' (Insan-ul-Kamil) that he has seen Plato (Aflatun) in hell, even though he is a man who has gained considerable insight into the reality surrounding the issue of creation.
In fact, many people who have reached the pinnacle of this spiritual awareness are still in hell. These are only some of the mysteries pointing to this reality.
On the other hand, Muhammad (SAW) says that 'The people of paradise are mostly populated by naive people'.
This is because going to paradise does not depend on a person's deeds.
They have heard from the Rasulullah Muhammad (SAW)
'None amongst you can get into Paradise by virtue of his deeds alone!'
They replied 'Oh, RasulullahMuhammad , not even you?'
Thereupon he said, 'Yes, not even me, but that Allah wrapped me in His Mercy'.
What this means is that 'My creation took place in such a way that He had preordained my destiny as a person who belongs to paradise and therefore I was born into this world as a blessed person, so I will enter paradise'.
If the person was destined as one of the people of paradise, he will then perform the good deeds of the blessed people, because doing this will be made easy for him.
The people who are eternally blessed perform deeds such as prayer, fasting or meditation and they live for the sake of others by sacrificing all their personal desires so that others can benefit from this. However, carrying out all these deeds should never put them into the state that their prime goal is to compete with the others for the pleasure of exercising their ego on them rather than sacrificing their souls for their benefit. They should lead such a life so that they can be helpful to those people at all times, which in turn would increase the energy they will need in the afterlife realm known as paradise.
Because of this reason, the main purpose here is not only to obtain the knowledge of the Truth, but soon after attaining it, the person involved also has the responsibility to perform certain actions so that both the physical body and the spiritual mind can be stored with the divine energy. This is how gnosis can be attained after the Truth is perceived. Of course, this can only be achieved if it is destined to be made easy on that person. Pay attention, I am not blaming the person who is negligent in performing this act. I am simply trying to explain how the system works.
If, however, the person is created for the purpose of manifesting the divine qualities within himself and living with this reality in the environment we call paradise, then knowledge of the Truth as well as knowledge of spiritual truths known as gnosis is bestowed on him.
As a result of experiencing this direct knowledge, the person has been given the opportunity to realise certain realities, such as how did the system he presently lives in come into existence, how does it work and what actions does he have to perform as a consequence of living in this system.
From then on, the person is not only fully aware of the knowledge of the Truth himself, but he will also be able to carry out all the actions which need to be displayed on the outside in the right manner.
The following verse from the Koran says
That Allah may forgive (cover/conceal) your past and (in spite of the conquer) future misdoings (concealment resulting from corporeality) and complete His favor upon you and guide you to your reality (essence).
Indeed, Allah has forgiven all the sins of Muhammad (SAW), including all the faults of the past and those to follow.
In spite of this fact, the Koran has addressed the Rasulullah Muhammad (SAW) in the following way
And pray during part of the night (awaken from your slumber), which will benefit you, and it is expected that your Sustainer will resurrect you to a praised station (He will activate within you the qualities pertaining to this station... {And he already has, in respect of the verse 'Inna fatahnalaka})
This is because; "And never will you find in Sunnatullah (Allah's creation system, laws) any change."

Me personally think if islam is not a religion then it is a SYSTEM, GOD'S SYSTEM.
Just think for a while, many people say Abraham build the stone and he did ritual there.. like physically bow and postrate there...
I do not agree with it. He was more universal than that.... search a direction to bow or prostratee???... is it not silly!!!! !

I just stopped doing Salat, as taught by submitters 5 times a day, altogether, for the time being.
First, because I am not any more convinced that it was instructed by God.
Second, because I think it is an Islamic innovation and invention.
And thirdly, after reading many posts here, I think Salat is probably an inner link and subconscious bondage with God, not a ritual prayer with motions.I feel something missing though, and I also think that it is a good physical exercise.

Those who make that ludicrous claim are not sincere and shouldn't be considered Muslim IMO. Salat has been performed since prophet Ibrahim, it's nothing new!

not 5 times a day (I didn't claim that)
thousands of believers performed salat, it's a historical fact.
if you don't believe anything from history, then for example you have no reason to believe that the Roman empire existed.

Hmmm...I see both points being made.
Prayer is something that is evidenced as far back as the Torah. What is not evidenced as much is the prostrations. As a Christian I was always taught to pray either kneeling or at the least with my head bowed in reverence to God.
Then there is the issue with the repetition of words.
Just this weekend I performed Salaat in both Arabic and English and even thought I paid more attention to what I was saying in English, it still seemed very ritualistic.
