God's Systems of Guidance and Misguidance

Peace be with you as well. Thanks, i actually had this as a draft and left it for a couple of months, Thanks to God that i got to finish it today.
Personally, i take 5679 to mean that we would have to be pure/wash our hands before touching the Quran. Because the word here is "pure", and during ablution/wudu, God wants to make us "pure" 56.... This is where i would claim that Ablution/wudu/washing hands would have to be done before touching the Quran as per 5679, since only the pure can touch it, and again, by doing ablution, we become more pure as per 56.Well i respect your interpretation. Everyone has slightly different views depending on there level of understanding. To me the verses are metaphoric and too serious to just mean simply "wash your hands prior to touching the the Quran" Look at it this way anyone can grasp the quran after they wash there hands. What would be the point of God swearing that 'none can grasp it except those pure' if a idol worshiper can simply hold the Quran (physically) without washed hands??? Its more obvious to me to mean something much more profound that. Also the verses never expressly commanded anyone to 'wash there hands prior to reading or using the Quran' .
5675 I do swear by the positions of the stars. (God is making an oath. This must be taken seriously)
5676 This is an oath, if you only knew, that is great.
5677 It is an honorable Quran.
5678 In a protected record. (means a guarded book)
5679 None can grasp it except those pure. (since it is guarded the book it is only made accessibly to the sincere. Pure is methaphoric)
5680 A revelation from the Lord of the worlds.Knowledge and understanding of the Quran is only meant for those who sincerely seek knowledge (the pure). And according to the Quran guidance is in stages.
May God guide us all. This is my interpretation according to my level of understanding.
Peace,
Kevin -

I'm not sure if i'm going to added in the Manuscript which i'm currently working on. May God Almighty Support us.Peace Good logic

do explain what you mean.I agree in the translation of the word. But not is what it means . For example look at these two sentences
?You must have a clean heart to take the sword.? ?The definition of the word ?clean? is derived from the context of the sentence and common sense. For example you cannot literally clean your heart. Here clean must mean ?a pure heart?
?You must have clean hands before doing surgery.? ? The meaning of this sentence clearly means the washing of hands or personally cleanness. The same is true with these verses
5675 I do swear by the positions of the stars. (God is making an oath. This must be taken seriously)
5676 This is an oath, if you only knew, that is great.
5677 It is an honorable Quran.

5679 None can grasp it except those pure. (since it is guarded the book it is only made accessibly to the sincere. Pure is methaphoric)
5680 A revelation from the Lord of the worlds. What would be the point of God saying that the Quran is in a ?protected record? if every ?ordinary bystander? can touch the Quran by simply buying the book or going to the library??? How is the book protected then??? So obviously the meaning of these verse are much more profound than simply washing of the hands(cleanness of the body). It is the mind that must be pure. Not the body. A pure/sincere mind leads to understanding.
May God guide us all

Kevin

Peace youssef4342.
I meant a book is just that. The writing in it does not change it. We do not need to wash. We need to set our mind to receive the word of GOD. Purify our thought. Get ready to learn and accept.
Also if we are reading/studying using a computer or listening to scripture on TV/Video/CD... We need to purify our mind.
Peace -
Peace be with you guys as well.
Well, whichever your belief is. Logically one should show some respect to a scripture... -
Greetings and Peace, all group
Regarding physical cleaning versus spiritual cleaning, perhaps 443 and 56 may shed some understanding on the matter. 56 uses the same root; 443 appears to not use the same root.
Back to the original post, it reminds me of other posts...(excerpts quoted)
AQ instructs who is "more wicked".
The categories of "more wicked" follow (please note that hell is NOT limited to the following categories!)
-
those who prevent the temples of GOD that His name be mentioned in them; and they seek their destruction. (AQ 2114)
-
one who conceals a testimony with him from GOD (2140)
-
one who invents lies about GOD (621, 693, 6144, 737, 1017, 1118, 1815, 3932, 617)
-
one who denies ALLAH's revelations (621, 6157, 737, 1017)
-
or turns away from ALLAH's revelations (6157, 1857, 3222,)
-
one who says "I will bring down the same as what GOD has sent down." (693)
-
one who denies the truth when it comes to them (3932)
Note that telling lies is mentioned in AQ more than twice any other category.
There is also the category of "more astray"
-
he who follows his desire, without guidance from GOD (2850)
-
he who calls on others besides GOD (465)
More astray is not guarantee of a different end; the astray are called wicked in 2850.
Also worth mentioning
986 Those who rejected from the people of the Book and the polytheists are in the fires of Hell abiding therein, those are the worst of creation.
Although they are worst of creation, they may not have the worst punishment reserved for them ~exclusively~. Do you punish the murderer of 33 people any different than the murderer of 32 people? Who gets the worst punishment according to AQ?
274 As for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made their work appear pleasing to them, so they walk around blind.
275 They will have the worst retribution, and in the Hereafter they are the biggest losers.
Also, youssef4342's previous post that lists what ALLAH loves/does not love

May ALLAH see fit to Guide all seekers.

Yes, very good thread.
Concerning the purity to touch Qur'an, I think that it means purity of intention, purity of heart. But the pyshical and ritual may have its place as a reminder. When we are left to our thought we may wander away from their aim and foundations, from our purpose, the material world is a call back to "business", to the real commitment. I do not think however that it should be taken as the real value but as instrumental value, what is importnt is what really changes the heart, and that goes hand in hand with change in our earthly doings.

This may sound weird and incomprehensible... but yes I agree that purity of intention is important, but also purity FROM the mind. When we are lost in our mind, which is just like a computer having a huge data base (memories, experience), projection capabilities (guessing, predicting, worrying) and processing capabilities (logic, reason, thinking), we are not really connected to 'upstairs'... and hence it is much more difficult to receive inspiration and epiphanies. Had it been possible to grasp the quran only through logic, reason, thinking and intelligence, then all brilliant, hi-IQ atheists would have seen the truth in it. But all they see are language and contradictions.
