    Peace be upon you.

I apologize in advance for my ignorance. I?m striving in the name of Allah to find the right path and the truth.

I have a question regarding Suras that begin with Qul. I don?t know Arabic language but from translation Qul means Say. My question is Should we add ?Qul? in front or we should say only the part that was told as to say?

I?m afraid that by adding ?Qul? in front the rest will have no effect.
Let me explain how I mean. If you want, for example, to instruct someone to take an oath, you will say to him Say? I swear on the name of Allah?? and you expect from him to say ? I swear on the Name of Allah?? but if he says ?Say I swear on the Name of Allah..? it?s not valid anymore and it has no effect, because he is not declaring what was instructed but repeating your words.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

You can say it or not say it..
      It doesn't matter..
What matter the most is how you understand it..
And take those that you think are good and apply it in your everyday life..

      Salam / Peace

        Let me put this way
If there was a Sura saying Qul ?Audhu Billahi Minashaitanir Rajeem? would we say Qul Audhu Billahi Minashaitanir Rajeem or just as we do Audhu Billahi Minashaitanir Rajeem.

Adding Qul in front removes essence of the sentence from request for help/protection for the person who declares it, into a statement for third person to declare need for help and protection and these way making it void.

I believe that Suras that start with Qul are one of the most powerful prayers for our everyday life, but adding Qul in front it will make void entire prayer.

" Qul" sometimes can be very powerful. You are saying" I have been instructed", "These are not my words", for example " Qul, this is the truth" makes it clear that I am instructed by GOD to "Say".

          Peace.

So you are saying that Qul it's not Say on english, but can have other meaninings, right?

              Nope it doesn't...

Nope it will not... You think God will respond with "Aha!!, you have a grammar mistake on your utterance / mantra.. Sorry bro.. your prayer is void... better luck next time.."

God knows the content of your prayer even before you say it.. in any languages.. including hand sign language... from any sources.. it's your heart and deed that count..

              Salam / Peace

Of course it is " Say" in English. But the words what to say are not yours . They are the words of GOD.

"Say" is clarifying to you what to say.

                Peace.

Peace be with you guys as well.
You do not really need to reiterate "Qul", as it is a Command.
Just say the things after the command.

                    Thank you for your replies.
I would only add few words?. as I see it

It?s not that God does not know our intention or what we want to say, it does. But is important to prove our obedience and use of logic.

If God says Say, than we should say what was told us to say. Adding Say in front shows that we either don?t understand what was asked from us or we are just repeating things without paying attention to the content.

Even in our everyday live, you will not take same when someone says for example
?In the name of God I will tell only the truth?..?
                    and
?Say In the name of God I will tell only the truth??
Two sentences are totally different. First one is declaration/intension; second one is just a request directed to someone else, it?s not declaration and its void. Lawyers will take first one as the oath and its binding and second one is not the oath and is not binding.

                      Shalom Aleikhem,

For the sake of rationality, I would have to side with yousef and Albani. And I also realized that Albani is not saying that if he ended up saying "Qul", God would be like "Yeehaa !! Gottcha !! You are going to Hell !!"

What Albani is saying is that now that he knows the meaning of what he is uttering, it is a rational obligation to not add the "Qul".

After all, lack of knowledge should not be confused with disobedience based on personal inclinations.

                      Peace

It all depends what you are doing.

If you are quoting the word of GOD , then "Qul" is part of it . He counted every letter.

If you are doing your personnel prayer , then you say what you like. It is private between you and your Creator.
                        Peace.

There is no magic effect. Free yourself from superstitions. You read the Quran for your own benefit and to remember God, most importantly.

I am no longer a Sunna-rejecter. See 4:59-65, 62:2-4, 3:31, 4:156, 7:157 Messenger teaches and is to be followed and obeyed. Examples of revelation received which is not in the Qur'an: 3:123-126, 33:37, 2:187, 66:3, 62:9.
