    Hey,

Just wanted to share a memory fragment of mine.
Edip Yuksel, I think it was, once upon a time answered me that fart may not be an ablution-nullifier, since what is mentioned in some verse is the action of 'going to the hole', i.e. the hole being the toilet.... and we don't really go, or need to go, to the toilet to fart. This leaves no. 1 and no. 2 being ablution-nullifiers in the context of "toilet related excretion". )

    Peace

      Sounds logic.

But what to do if the fart is foul smelling ?

Probably the same thing that you would have done if the fart was audible for detection range under 25.6 hz.

Got it ? ok, sorry, let me break it down. Why burden yourself with things that God never asked you to do in the first place ? I am getting flashbacks of a story of Moses I guess.. somebody please point that out. )

Peace be with you guys as well...
I personally do not believe in "nullifying ablution".
The way i understand it is that you have to make ablution (if water is available) Every time you do salat, as per 56.... however, if you are dirty/impure, traveling long distance, went to the bathroom, then you wash instead of making the 4 steps of 56.
flatulence may not be considered as going to the bathroom, God wishes ease upon us not hardship.

If Quran gave a special ritualistic process of purification in there must be a reason.

Why God would annoy his slaves with a long ritualistic process of purification every time ?

God wishes ease upon us not hardship.

If you don't believe in "nullifying ablution" there is a problem then, because Quran doesn't support your view. You can't add your own interpretation to something that is already very clear.

Ponder on this adding interpretation = claiming that it's not clear !

You said " There is a reason" , Then later you also said " What is clear".

Please explain" the reason" and" what is clear" using the Koran.
                Peace.

......you shall select from the clean soil

if you were using soil , how on earth would you know how clean the soil is?

How about if animal faeces may already be in that soil, so possible cause of diseases to the person, certain tiny creatures can dig into your soft skin aswell - those that may be in the soil! No?

Actually i just changed my understanding, from looking at the wording of 56
From my new understanding, the first part of 5;6 would mean that When/if you GET UP to establish salat, then do the steps...... (it states when/if you get up "iz akmtm ila alsalah", not when you establish salat "iz akmtm alsalah"

your ablution would stay intact, until you do any of the things which make you impure/traveling etc.
Then you would have to wash up.

                        Shalom Aleikhem,

O you who believe, if you rise to hold the contact prayer, then wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe your heads and your feet to the ankles; and if you have had intercourse, then you shall bathe. And if you are ill, or traveling, or you have excreted feces, or you have had sexual contact with the women, and you cannot not find water, then you shall select from the clean soil; you shall wipe your faces and your hands with it. God does not want to place any hardship on you, but He wants to cleanse you and to complete His blessings upon you that you may be thankful.

We should not read that as a challenge, for God did not intend for that to be one.

                        Peace

Will using wipes or toilet paper go against the command of this aya? if not arn't you doing something other then according to what we are advised by the almighty According to this ayah?

                          Shalom Aleikhem,

Incase my point was not clear enough, let me requote

                          Shalom Aleikhem,

O you who believe, if you rise to hold the contact prayer, then wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe your heads and your feet to the ankles; and if you have had intercourse, then you shall bathe. To make things clear, I wasnt there when God made a law of using only water for cleaning your private parts. I did not even receive any such message of God from others.

therefore, I can not forbid what God allows, and can not advocate for what God forbids.

I hope my position is clear.

If you beg to differ, please differ with evidence, show us where you get the order for only washing up with water.

Sorry my quistion was just general, although water is envisaged, and clean soil otherwise, but my point was even if if it wasn't a hardship , cant we simply use wipes or something, would that be going against the command in the ayah or something, although saying that i suppose using soil could be a hardship compared to a wipe or toilet paper, yes?

On the basis of your interest, I present a sahih hadith from the Sahih of all Sahih, the Sahih-Bukhari

                              Volume 1, Book 4, Number 162
                              Narrated by Abu Huraira
Allah's Apostle said, "If anyone of you performs ablution he should put water in his nose and then blow it out and whoever cleans his private parts with stones should do so with odd numbers. And whoever wakes up from his sleep should wash his hands before putting them in the water for ablution, because nobody knows where his hands were during sleep."

Hope you enjoyed the hadith and forgive my short tempered reply in the previous post.

I suppose from your view point , we do then need the Hadith's to explain what the quran means.

Pitty the Hadith doesn't mention clean soil.

                                  Salam all
I have another question about the verse

O you who believe, if you rise to hold the contact prayer, then wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe your heads and your feet to the ankles; and if you have had intercourse, then you shall bathe. Sorry if I'm out of topic. Read the highlighted part. Allah says 'if you touch the womens= sexual contact. (arabic clear nisaa) Why does not he say the same for the women? i.e. 'if you have touched the men? God used his words clearly, as this would mean that God specifically speaks to the men here. This would confirm the interpretation of Al salat= a meeting / session twice a day .
Thanks for your thoughts on this
                                  Peace

O you who believe, if you rise to hold the contact prayer, then wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe your heads and your feet to the ankles; and if you have had intercourse, then you shall bathe. And if you are ill, or traveling, or you have excreted feces, or you have had sexual contact with the women, and you cannot not find water, then you shall select from the clean soil; you shall wipe your faces and your hands with it. God does not want to place any hardship on you, but He wants to cleanse you and to complete His blessings upon you that you may be thankful.

Thanks for your thoughts on this
                                    Peace

The verse begins with O you who believe (men and women). It is not the case here that only men are believers and not women. Then everthing that follows O you who believe concerns obviously the believers (men and women).

How about if animal faeces may already be in that soil, so possible cause of diseases to the person, certain tiny creatures can dig into your soft skin aswell - those that may be in the soil! No?
Welcome back mz/simple. I thought the it must mean something else entirely based on "i see something no one else sees/sixth sense/i am pioneer/i am out of the box/ i am legion" whimsy was familiar. And indeed, at least the user names are legion if nothing else.

I suppose from your view point , we do then need the Hadith's to explain what the quran means.

Pitty the Hadith doesn't mention clean soil.

                                        peace

                                        Shalom Aleikhem,

GOD !!! lol... no ...definitly NOT !!

I was just pointing out the hadith to show the absurdity of it. You need odd number of stones to wipe you butt...otherwise the sky daddy is angry P

Got my point ? The hadith was presented as a joke, not for any form of guidance.

                                        Peace

                                          Peace Student of Allah.

You better be careful. I fall into that trap many times. You joke with them and they take you seriously. Then when you are serious and they take it as a joke!

                                          Peace.
